GT6 to be available on PSN for digital download

Which SSD? I thought mine (Intel X25-E 64 GB) would be fast since it's an enterprise one with loads of factory overprovisioning space (20 GiB, it should help big time since there's no TRIM support on the PS3), but it took me exactly 30 minutes to install GT6 after downloading it.

It's a 64Gb Sandisk, It's a brand new model, SATA3, 480Mb/s etc, but we know PS3 it's only SATA1 so your disk and my one are using the same 150Mb/s that offers SATA1. Mine took a little over 20, don't remember exactly but about 21 min 40 sec or so.

Well it's still way faster than regular HD! It'll be like a few hours here installing :(
SSD has much faster random access and multiple read/write access

Well that's strange, it showed up on my download list straight away with an option to turn on/off auto download for preorder games

I did buy it on PC through the Sony website though, it shows up there on my transaction list as well

Yeah I just went on SEN and it shows up there, and I have transaction number with detail, damn hope I can start downloading tonight.

I´m still downloading the game since 2:00PM (Spain time) and now is 6:46PM...59% downloaded. At the moment downloading at 1MB/second which is the max I can have with 10MB DSL.

Then the painful installation plus the patch and its installation as well...lol...you are not so bad after all...be patient.

Also I´m used to this since I have like 100 games at Steam in where you always have to download everything...the installation is really short compared to the PS3...yet if you do some stuff (watching movies, playing other games and such) the time goes by quite fast.

Mine took 90 mins here in Spain, Ono rules ;)
 
Do you get the 1 million credits when you preorder the digital download? In the psn store is says you get the 5 free cars but no mention of the 1 million credits.

No 1,000,000cr here either I'm sure it said in the description of the special/aneversary edition you'll get them, I'll have to check, I'm not too fussed anyway removes the temptation of using them.

On the psn store description, it does not mention the 1 million credits on either the standard or special edition downloads, just the free cars. Seems a bit unfair to not get the credits too when you're paying more than you would preordering it from a retailer.

Oh no...lucky bast***! Where I live I can´t get Ono/optical fiver...the max is 10MB...and forget about it. That´s the thing when you live in front of the beach and not in a big city. ;)

I would love to have 30MB or 50...the day I move I´ll check the online services before.
 
Well, you can download it straight away, but you won't be able to play till 0.00 o'clock, so the download itself is worth nothing.
 
True supertrom. I already downloaded, installed but not expecting to play until well into the early hours of the 6th December. I'd say around 7am.
 
@Richhard1 Correct. What I'm trying to say is that downloadtimes doesn't matter at all in this case. I've downloaded and installed the whole thing in around an hour, but if you can't play it, the speed doesn't matter. What matters is that I (and probably all people who have the digital version) have to wait till tomorrow.

While my game install took at least an hour on a HD

The update downloaded in 6 mins and only took no more than 5 mins to install
Game booting up now!

go to ps store, buy (again, but of course is for free now) gt6 e this time you can download the game.
 
So how big is the Download? 15GB? In Canada, I think it releases tonight. I have a 250 GB Slim, will I be okay? Any tips? Thank you

Just downloaded. Installing the game, it failed the first time. Trying again, it fails at 14%. Error code is 80029564. Anyone knows about it?

Given up due to insufficient bandwidth probably.

You either have a slow connection or the server can't cope.
