In my yesterday's races on the second account, DR E and then D, i noticed that many cars got ghosted very quickly before making (mostly accidental) contact with my car. Some even overtook me in the chicane by ghosting and just morphing through me. Has PD done something to avoid some of the punting in general? Or was that just random stuff? I'ver never noticed something like this in races with DR B or A.
This is anecdotal, but as far as I know that happens on the lower end of the DR/SR spectrum but not on the higher tiers.

AWD cars are looking good for qualifying on C, but the Megane is looking like a contender for the actual race. Seems very good on fuel.

Fantastic.
In Daily C races, the stupidity settings, are the same as last week.
People that had spent money buying a car, have to buy a set of tires, if don't have it already.
The people that don't spend money buying cars, just pick a free car and don't need to buy any type of tires.

Well done PD. Doesn't make sense, but the rules are yours.

Oh, and with a thousand tracks to chose, thank you for keeping choosing the same tracks.
Who needs variety, right?

P.S.: I like Daily A and Daily B tho. Thumbs up for these two settings. :)

Yes, Ghosting strength is different depending on SR. Which makes sense, I think, as lower ranked driver will probably have less control and awareness than higher ranked drivers (on average, you always have exceptions here and there)

Last night, I had another win at race A, which resulted in obtaining the "Digging the Dirt" trophy (screenshot below). It was my tenth win on a dirt track.

Want to find out about an idiot who did his first race B not knowing about fuel save? Me!! 😂

Started 11th and got up to 6th and then start of lap 4 I get a notice that only 1.2 laps of fuel remain! Had to short shift last 2 laps on map 6 and finished 14th 😤🫤

Why make a fuel save mode on a 5 lap race? Dumbest decision ever!

Same thing. Just finished the first race and I’m fuming. It seems everyone got the memo but me. Wow. Since when is fuel saving in race B ffs?

Definitely looking forward to trying out Race A in various cars. This is what I was hoping for when they said they'd introduce races with no SR/DR changes. Just for fun, maybe I'll try a car from 1979 or before, like my Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71, or a Ferrari 308 that I had laying around.

I'll be disappointed if Race A doesn't become a one make race with @GOTMAXPOWER 's choice.
I got it into the 1:49s… unfortunately there is only one line through the corkscrew in the Barker, and some poor soul was next to me on three of the laps in my last race. Going to stick with old cars though, got the DB5 down to 1:47s.

That’s an awesome picture!
I remember week one when we had the Deep Forest race with the hot hatches. That was pretty fun race seeing a whole mix of cars going up against each other.

today has felt like that week. I am sure I am missing some extra time by not learning the gear ratios, but since it’s unranked I’m not bothered by “5th place, 30 seconds behind the leader” finishes. Hopefully everyone else has fun with it

Did anyone notice that race B is longer than normal? 5 laps @2:25/lap is about 12 minutes.

I am OK with Race B and the minor fuel saving... I got a bit surprised on penultimate lap.

I hope this is not a PD accident. It is a good way to mix things up a bit.

Anyone have a suggestion for @Leon Kowalski in an AT car. Supra is a bad choice as it is a natural short shift car. Suggest maybe a Beetle but I have not tried.

Despite reading this earlier guess who else forgot! Although only for half a lap, but then I realised my wheel base blocks the ‘laps left’ part of my MFD fuel map so I kept having to sort of stand up to peer over it 😂. Started 7th finished 9th as I let a couple through when I was faffing with the fuel map. Not bad considering there were a hefty 10 A+ in the lobby which is unusual.
But not sure this race has much staying power, once I settled it was a complete procession, as it has been on the streams I’ve seen as well. Unless you have outrageous pace or other people make mistakes I think Race B seems to have everyone staggered at 2 second intervals. No thanks in part to the idiotic rolling start, pro tip: don‘t start 7th!

Honestly, 7th is a good spot for the Jag. I manage to keep within a second of 6th and usually end up with a 2 second gap to 8th. All push ahead from that. But yeah, the rolling starts are a bit stupid, although starting the whole field either before the chicane or on the run to eau rouge seems fairly sketchy as well considering a lot of the driving standards I've seen.

If I’m there again at least I’ll know what to expect; it sort of took me by surprise.
It does feel like decisions are made to keep people apart on the presumption people can’t drive properly, which is fair enough honestly.

What are the top guys running on, methanol? 😂 I'm about 4 seconds slower in Race B (i think around 2:19x is my best time) and in Race C, I'm about 3 seconds off using the TT and about another 0.4 seconds slower using the Silvia 😅

It's so refreshing to see a Race A that isn't just a BoP one-make. I've been having a lot of fun with it.

Seems anything 4WD is the meta. I've been seeing Subarus, Evos, Yarises, Deltas, Focus RSes and bizarrely, a whole load of Raptors and Tundras. Who knew the trucks could be so competitive?! 😂

Looks like there's some kind of ride height trick (way higher at the front) that lets you bring a massively OP car to race A - this joker qualified pole, pulled over at the start to let everyone pass then proceeded to blast past everyone! Still a fun race though!

This pic isn't just under acceleration btw, it was like this the whole time.

There's always been ghosting in the lower DR brackets.

So FM2 whole race in B with Beetle is nowhere near enough to finish. Barely got over the finish line running on fumes, lost 5 places. Next attempt FM3 so we'll see.

these look kinda fun, especially A and B, i may try A for ***** and giggles.

IMHO those trying to Fuel map their way to success in B and C will get murdered, if don't short shift, you get gobbled up.

Goddamn it. Another entirely optional settings adjustment which the community will no doubt use as a stick to beat the game with 🤣🤣
