Low A+, maybe 60-65k?

I was the only A+ driver in the lobby and started on pole with an average qualifying time so this is probably not a representation of the way it will go this week.
Probably not... I was on vacation last week and therefore lucky enough to drive one of the first B races. I had a Q time of 2.00.4xx, which was really not that great as it turned out later, but for the first nrace it was not only enough for P1, but I drove far away from the field, but as the "better" drivers online came, it quickly became apparent that I had to get better. :D

Race A is awesome! Really glad to see tuning back.

Part of me wishes it had SR/DR enabled but I think it'd just turn into everyone racing the same random meta tune they found online somewhere if so - so maybe this is for the better.

I will say the rolling start is absolutely massive, not sure why they opted for the same "chase the rabbit" type of gap between cars for it.

I hope it's not needed, but fuel x7 is a lot. Just imagine fuel saving in 5 laps sprint, it would be much worse than dumb...
But let's wait, when someone will actually try this race
Let me know when someone has, I've done a good quali time but would like to be pre armed with some info :)

Yeah, the tyres aren’t great by the end.

But I won by over 10 seconds. So it’s possible to no stop it.
How easy was it to keep it on the track? Im assuming you was losing 10 seconds a lap on them old tyres looking at the fastest lap and your current lap time?

Im not sure if anyone has tested this but if you was to carry on, on those tyres I guess they would never fail and delaminate?
Anyone like to see a punctures added into the game?

Still only 16 cars in Race C, how have they gone backwards with this from Sport. I expected 20 to be minimum going into GT7.

Much respect to you for the win but this really shouldn't be possible, you're basically riding rims at this point.

It was not that difficult to be honest. I ran wide a couple of times on the last lap because of increased braking distance, but it never felt like turning around on me.

I lost about 15 seconds to p2 over the last 2 laps. But I was putting about 2 seconds a lap into the bank for the first 4 laps.

Nah, if you look closely there’s still a little bit of rubber on the front right. I did wonder what that weird grinding metallic noise was though. :D

while a Meta will probably appear in Race A, it’s nice to have a reason again to tinker with different cars. Haven’t tried the truck or subarus yet, but hit decent times in the Firebird and S800 ‘66. Ran a race in the Barker without practicing or tuning it and finished 4th (not the biggest or best room lol). Could be a fun race to mess with this week.

There is fuel saving in race B, but not massive. It is catching lots of people out though, even quick drivers. I passed a car out of fuel in every one of my first 4 races on the combo.

I don't mind a dash of fuel saving anyway, but the hard tires just seem really greasy there. The start is still garbage, p8 and back are in the chicane or before it. Been running the Jag and shifting at 2/3 or 3/4 bar and finishing with 0.3 or more left if I don't burn on the last lap having a battle.

This is going to be the same as the Race C at Spa a few weeks ago. The RX-V was a great option that week.

That’s an awesome picture!
I remember week one when we had the Deep Forest race with the hot hatches. That was pretty fun race seeing a whole mix of cars going up against each other.

Chad PD heard us call for more strategy and so put strategy in race B as well lol.

My actual guess is that they last minute swapped B & C around (judging by the rumors saying Spa was race C), changed the settings but forgot to change the fuel back to 1x for the Spa combo.

Weird choice otherwise.

One possible solution could be to have penalties for any contact near a corner, but always blame the driver behind. To make it fair though, take away everyone’s ability to look behind, whatever cam, no mirrors, just radar, so leading drivers can’t deliberately/easily get the driver behind penalised.
Making situational awareness even harder is not something I would recommend.
Better to make every view have a rear view mirror and every view have a centered radar at all time

In my yesterday's races on the second account, DR E and then D, i noticed that many cars got ghosted very quickly before making (mostly accidental) contact with my car. Some even overtook me in the chicane by ghosting and just morphing through me. Has PD done something to avoid some of the punting in general? Or was that just random stuff? I'ver never noticed something like this in races with DR B or A.
