I know BOP plays it's part but don't imagine it will make such a difference to slow down the Alfa by 4 sec.

By my testing (standard no mods) seems like Race C destined to be a one-make race 🫤

Ignore top 5 times for Trial Mountain (Race B next week) as that was me playing around some tuning and testing improvements.

Only did 2 laps with each car but still, Race C seems clear to me what will be used...
Can the Alfa run the distance with fuel multipliers enabled though? I think that'll be quite a big determining factor.

I can't be sure with the new tire wear model but I remember it didn't underperform in previous multi-compound races.

On a side note, I think I found my new favorite Gr3 car, the MX Vision! Haven't raced it yet so no idea about wear but in terms of how it handles and the gear ratios, love it. I ready shaved 2 tenths of my qualy lap time for Race C and tested it for Trial Mountain, immediately matched my best time with the AMG 🎉

nice, it's great when a combo comes together like this. Will miss Bathurst!

Do we know what's coming next week yet?

If you can't/won't click through to the tweet it's this:
A - Tokyo Expressway Central Clockwise / Any Road < 600PP (6 laps, 1x Tire/Fuel, SM/SS)
B - Trial Mountain / GR.3 (5 Laps, 1x Tire/Fuel, RH)
C - Nurburgring GP / GR.4 (9 Laps, 1x Tire, 7x Fuel, RH/RM, RH Mandatory)

Well done!

Saw you in a couple of races this afternoon - some good clean racing from everybody today, lots of off track moments for some of the frontrunners meant it was possible to pick up a few places in each race too!

Well done both! I suck at Bathurst 🤣 Never been so far off the top 💩 Almost 10 seconds if not more as haven't looked again, was too ashamed 🤣

I had to take a break. I thought being in the B lobbies the racing would be somewhat cleaner. How wrong I was.

You did. I was enjoying it until it became personal with a couple of players. I hate that crap. I try my best to be fair and clean but sometimes no matter what you do you end up as a target 🎯 will go again now at 7pm

I know some people look a bit too much into it but it's typically just the luck of the draw with what lobbies you get, most are decent enough but you can get in a bad loop at times as well.

It definitely gets worse in the evenings unfortunately.

I love the track, I suck at the top but I find if I can keep a rhythm going rather than attacking then I can manage just fine. Gave a few sessions in the Aston Martin but switched to the Alfa today. Like night and day 🙈🙈

Oh I know 🤣 generally coincides with consumption of alcohol 🤣🤣🤣🤣 might as well go the same route 🙈

In my experience Saturdays have always been the worst days. Some people have been racing all week and some people are just starting for the first time in the weekend, so there is a wide array of abilities regardless of the quali times. And there are always seems to be a disproportionate number of flagrant game-wreckers on Saturdays as well. I pretty much stay away at these peak a-hole hours.

I love Bathurst, but I'm slow there! 3 seconds slower than the top person on my friends list in the WRX, and finding the Alfa easier to control in the race.

Having said that, despite some good race results (usually by staying on track, when others don't), my best lap in race is usually 4 seconds slower than the fastest driver!

Usually I would play most nights but now I find myself technically self employed I don't have that luxury. I am not a fool, I was A/S on gtsport for a long time before I took a break. It just seems that gt7 is missing something, and penalising the wrong players. I am no saint by any means but I find it hard to play properly at the moment when you are fighting not just idiots but the game also. If that makes sense

Anyway, we will try again this evening. Have the RD350LC to keep me company 🤣

I've tested 10 cars so far for the next Race A all on sports soft tires and so far the fastest are the Dodge Charger Hellcat and engine swapped Lancia Delta. I haven't tried the Aston Martin VGT yet which I guess will be the fastest unless something glitches, but I have found the best ways to optimize pp without glitches. The pp system tests acceleration shifting like an AI does so cars with peak power low in the revs have a lower pp than they should. Regenerative braking extra power isn't factored, so cars that have it are faster. With suspension settings not effecting pp, high rear downforce and low front downforce lower the pp but is more than negated with a good suspension setup. Finally, anti lag system on strong makes the pp go down so always get it and put it on strong for every car that has it.

Noooo! Why not the Nordschleiffe? 😢
Totally agree!
They did Gr4 on the Nords a while back (July I believe), two laps. Awesome track of course, but very difficult to pass.

I'm waiting for N24 version with Gr3 cars.

Pretty sure the Alfa is horrible on fuel. If so, that would play a huge role and it may not be used at all.

Same here. In Bathurst I make many mistakes in qualifying alone, which multiplies in races. Also got punted in my first race last monday, then had no motivation to try again.

What are you guys using round the mountain then? After taking a few for a spin (literally) this morning, including nearly breaking my arms attempting to wrestle the DB9 around, I’ve settled on the Ferrari for the week. It’s got good initial turn in and is very stable under acceleration, which I think kind of works around here. Pretty unstable under breaking so I just have to take care in the twisty bit after the tunnel.

Also what is a respectable time for an average Joe like me? I’m normally near the back in a B race. I’ve managed to do a 1.53.0 in the Ferrari. There is probably another 2 or 3 more tenths in there for me and then that’s about my limit.

Here's my best lap and tune so far for Race A.

The engine swapped Cappuccino is apparently best but I can't get it stable to save my life, so here's the engine swapped Audi TTS that for me is about half a second quicker than the Cappuccino and Aston Martin VGT.

The Nordschleife, with these kind of people in online racing? And this penalty system? It was pure mayham on mount panorama already, I dont wanna imagine the wreckfest on the Nordschleife.
You can set a better qualifying time than the Neanderthals and need to do some defensive driving.

My take for this week:

Alfa on mediums to qualify on race C, Impreza on hards with some short shifting for the race as a no stop.

Race B, Mazda, Porsche etc seem to be the best, lots of choice though which is good, finally a week of racing I can enjoy!

Thanks for the tune. I worked all day on the Hellcat yesterday and can’t come anywhere close to these times. I was hoping there would be a bit more variety, but I should know better by now.
