Here's my best lap and tune so far for Race A.

The engine swapped Cappuccino is apparently best but I can't get it stable to save my life, so here's the engine swapped Audi TTS that for me is about half a second quicker than the Cappuccino and Aston Martin VGT.

I tuned it EXACTLY like in your video (engine included) but I don't understand why my TT stands at 606,32pp

EDIT: it was the transmission. Fully customizable manual, instead of racing. I never used this one before.

EDIT2: Now it's 599,95pp and you got 599,97. Lol why? This thing is giving me OCD.

Found it....it was the wheels. I installed new ones. I didn't know they could affect PP.

Wow this thing is a beast. Thanks!

So looks like B C has turned into a no-strat race. Looks like they tried with allowing RMs and having 7x fuel, but people are just using the WRX on RH tires with minor fuel savings. Try again, PD.

Seen a lot of different cars on B thus far. Porsche is strong, but seeing people us the Mustang, Merc, & RX-V

Race B doesn't allow mediums and has no fuel multiplier.

Race C does, but then it's a Gr.4 race so you won't see the RX-Vision...

You can set a better qualifying time than the Neanderthals and need to do some defensive driving.
Yup, until the first corner of the GP track. xXL4z3RR4c3RXx, running his tricked out GTR with flip-flop paintjob in P15, decides that hes had it with these boring races and turns into a torpedo of dumbness and give it a full send - right down the first turn into other cars.

These other cars get shot into the barriers and receive a penalty for hitting the barriers.

xXL4z3RR4c3RXx meanwhile ragequitted and started up the new call of duty and is gonna pew pew the rest of the day, not giving a single ****

Very similar to his japanese friends at PD, who give about the same amount of %&§$§ about this game and its players.

Tried B and C. Neither of them are very enjoyable.

Race C is just a no stop fuel saver and Race B should be good, but for some reason I’m just not feeling it. I think the combination of only 5 laps and a track with too many places to dive brings out the worst in people.

Might be a week where I don’t do many dailies.

Where is the variety from PD? It feels so stale at the moment.

Since I don’t have a 13B to put into a Cappuccino - and even if I did, I’d rather put it into a Mazda Roadster - I’m looking forward to trying other cars that reach the PP limit. I’d imagine that a car with a lighter weight and Sports Softs would be best. Maybe I’ll try out my 2JZ-swapped GR Yaris!

Well, with Mount Panorama over for race b, I came so close:

.008 seconds from being in the 2:12's. Oh well, it was a fun, crazy week.

how you change the engine model ? I am asking as in my setting I can only see the defaul model given when i purchased the car and it is the DNU-TTS

Isn't anybody using the once feared GT-R anymore? I did some quali laps for race C, and resisted the urge to take any car that's to be found in the top 100 in the global rankings. Afterwards I found myself the fastest GT-R driver #on the planet# for now. 🤣
What?

Oh, and btw, speaking of variety, all you Alfa top qualifier aliens, could you please at least BUY the damn thing and put some different liveries on it? I see red when I look at the rankings. 😆

You'd need to fit an engine you've won from a Roulette Ticket; these are very, very rare, but there are engine-only tickets available for some Extra Menu Book rewards.

You can find all the compatible engine swaps in the thread pinned at the top of the forum:

The Nordschleife, with these kind of people in online racing? And this penalty system? It was pure mayham on mount panorama already, I dont wanna imagine the wreckfest on the Nordschleife.
The last time we had it it wasn't too bad, at least I didn't think it was. The circuit is hard enough that there are plenty of passing opportunities based on driver skill level and what kinds of speed they can take into a corner.
Of course that was like 3 penalty systems updates ago so who knows lol

GT-R wasn't very good at Bathurst, the WRX and Alfa were far more nimble which you need across the mountain. I would expect the Nords GP circuit to be more of a handling circuit anyways, which again leads to not many GT-R drivers

I experienced the Nordschleife in Forza Motorsport 4 lobbies. It was indeed a 1 lap madness when there were no clean drivers. Now that I think back, I don't want it in GT7 sport mode

There might always be some recency bias, though. It might be just me, but I think it's not bad at the Nurb GP. There's some high speed sectors where it can shine. We'll see.

Is there a way to sort the rankings by Car Type? I was trying to do that during last week's races but couldn't see how.

I'm a hipster so will be trying out the Lambo to start on Race C.

I think a good strategy for Race C is qualy on Mediums, start the race on Hards. Do really well keeping up with the guy in 1st, duck into the pits from .25 behind the leader end of lap 3. Fill the car and put on the mediums. Do really well to catch up to the guys battling for 3rd by lap 7. Pass the guy in 4th. Get abso-forking-lutely DIVE BOMBED into the last chicane and rage quit because you're full damage, got a penalty because you were shunted into the guy in 3rd, and then see his pissant "sorry hollowkatt" before he left the lobby.

oh wait, no that's bad. **** divebombers what the actual ****ing ****.

I worked all day yesterday on tunes for a Hellcat and the GT-R Nismo, only to discover that at 1:21.xxx I was way (WAY) off the pace of the meta Cappuccino. I'll eventually do that tune I guess, but I decided to go back to a weirdly overpowered Mini Cooper tune (with the Civic swap) I used for the Alsace Human Comedy mission a while back. Basically, the tires squeel with the rolling start and all the way to 5th gear! I'm burning out in 5th gear! This car could be so awesome but I can't get the tires to stick enough to get speed! It's a hilarious problem to have, really. Once I let off the throttle I get some grip, but also some speed. And it handles like a can that was kicked down the chute on that freeway, bouncing back and forth between the walls. A accrued 9 seconds of penalties before I even got to the starting line on qualification!

So, back to the drawing board. I want a non-meta car but I don't know what will work. I'll keep digging, but this is clearly going to be a circus of engine swaps. I hope that some other cars start to prove themselves. Anybody else have any ideas?

I've won at Tokyo in my brz STI with the vette engine.
I was looking at that one myself. What's your pace in it?

Both the lambo and the mclaren should be good here. Mid engine for good rotation, stable cars on acceleration, good grip for the high speed corners

Ive been away for a while, have they done something to GR3 cars? The understeer feels terrible! Reminds me of gr4 cars in GTSport. I really like TM but just not enjoying it at all. I’ve tried a bunch of cars and it’s a real slog. Especially that last chicane.
would have been way better with RM instead of hards all the time as well.
