Holy Wreckfests Batman!

Done some race B tonight. And didn't have an amazing qualifying time so was in the pack for all my starts. If I can avoid the bunch ups I can get ahead, but carnage is everywhere. People sending it in the 90 degree right, trying to dive bomb and wall you both entering and exiting the long straight. Lag getting thrown in for more fun. And most of the time I'm witnessing the craziness ahead, but getting caught up in debris as it happens in front of me with nowhere to go.

Got my time down to a 1:51.2 in the Mustang, with chances at a 50 high, but man it's crazy out there. Had lap 1 a group try to go 4 wide through the 90 degree right turn with the bush that sticks out. Such a bad, bad idea.

Same expierence here... Yesterday I jumped into C on my alt (A/S) people diving on T1 L1, "you win race on first corner" philosophy:/ pushing off track, just every dirty moves you can imagine, two attempts, two RQ... "Maybe B will be better?" I think to myself... yeah right... Today I give one another try at Nurb, if it will be like yesterday, week off racing for me... Some say that rolling starts are better now, I dont think so

I did a couple Bs last night and am liking this combo. It's reinvigorated me to play the game. Haven't worked on quali too much, but I can say if you don't want to use the Porsche (again) or RX, the Vette is great. It handles those S1 esses like a champ; it's becoming one of my favorite cars. The Jag is also very good and stable, as well as the Ford GT LM II. Don't get me wrong, none of these cars are going to be breaking any world records, but if you're not in a super competitive A+ lobby give them a shot. Very fun.

Somehow managed to avoid all this chaos going through the esses on lap one, then the ensuing chaos through/coming out of the tunnel.

Then decided to give the '18 GTR a go and holy smokes is that car SLOW! It drives through the corners well enough but it's so slow on the straights I was giving up .250-.500" per straight easily. Be prepared to lose a spot before you even get to T1 on the opening lap. Thankfully, in this race it was good enough through S1 to keep the Jag behind at bay, but I won't be using this anymore.

Goal for today is get back in the RX-V and better my quali time as I didn't put much effort into it yesterday.

I skipped last week, didn't like the races, so I finally sat down and did 5-6 quali laps last night with the 911, managed a clumsy 51.1, lots more time to find, in the race it put me on P2, and I finished in P2 with a clean race, literally nothing happened :D

Going to be racing at Trial Mountain as I had a win last time there was a daily race here (well, in Gr.4) and I had a decent showing in the GTWS with the GR.3 cars. I'm in the Mustang as I saw a few on the leader boards. The first few laps of practice were a struggle as I had a heck of a time keeping the car under control. I got the hang of it and set a time which I forgot and was later beaten. I then tried the RSR, but I would lose control with the car at the turn with the stump brake marker. I felt way slower with it somehow even though it felt great in the corners, but I couldn't make it work. At the end of my practice session I ended with a qualifying time of 1:52.019. I need to clean up my lines a bit more as I'm leaving a bunch of time on the track.
I managed a 1.52.6 in the Ferrari this morning and it nearly killed me. I’ve maybe got another tenth and that’s me done. You guys are too good.

I’ve just done a race B where the pole sitter was completely invisible for the whole race. Not a ghost, just no car at all. The name badge was appearing, but you couldn’t see his car. He said he couldn’t see the guy in second.

PD just keep finding new ways to break this game. So unprofessional. So incompetent.

Grumpy what's your name in the game? I just raced with grandparacer and wondering if it's you
Same name as here - Grumpy Old Man. PSN is dagware.

I prefer cars with a solid rear end
Try the Suzuki VGT. It's a perfect 50:50. It's slower, though, but someone has it high up on the leaderboard, so it certainly can compete, in the right hands. I loved driving it, but I'm not the one to be competitive with it.

Whilst we've got new people popping in - may as well say again that I'm happy for anyone to add me to PSN if you want to populate your leaderboards a bit more. Always enjoy a bit more competition, my PSN is Nebuc72.

Speaking of competition - popped a 1:50.077 for race B and found it put me right ahead of NikNak in the leaderboards, which was unexpected. Please don't get back to your normal form, I can actually keep up with you right now! Please excuse the egg.

Must. Fight. The. Urge. To. Ask.

Jumped into the first races of the week, (Race B) to say the lobbies were stacked would be an understatement. Id estimate an average of 70k DR for the 4 races I did. I improved my time to a 1.49.59 but even so I started 6-8th. I have to say the racing was terrific, the new rolling starts and a variety of cars provided incredibly close races for the first couple of laps as packs got bunched up, but it was so clean and respectful with no idiotic moves flying in; aside from my own when I totally messed up a brake point and wiped someone out. I waited of course, but it saw us down to last place. The other races I managed top 6 finishes which I would take all day long amongst that grid.

What’s the fuel saving strat for C? Use the map? Short shift? Lift and coast into brake zones? All of the above? Can you save on a couple of laps and then go flat out, or is constant saving required?

I’ve crossed the line 2x now on empty even though I short shifted to the point where the fuel map said I could make it to the end on map1

it hasn't even occurred to me to try to fuel save for a no stop...
I've been doing 3 laps on hards then coming in to top off for the rest of the race on mediums.

Great, now I have to figure out how to fuel save the WRX on hards for 9 laps. Probs going to fuel map 4+ to do so

It’s faster than pitting (at least according to Wombleader and Tidgney). Still a couple of drivers pitted in my race last night.

While that's definitely a nasty issue I can confirm that p2 was likely to send it in there and run the polesitter out anyway. They were driving like that all last night. And after getting wrecked or penalized to the middle or back of the grid just driving through people to go back up the grid. They're fast, but I hate driving near them as it's a 98percent chance of contact and getting shoved wide.

I can't drive it, doesn't respond well to using the X button for gas. McLaren, RSR, Z4 and Supra are the go-to cars..... maybe Lancer, have not tried that ye. Struggling with rotation in sectors 2 and 3. Might try the FT1.

Then maybe the Jag? It's a bit unpredictable in the fast corners after the home straight, but very nice for the rest of the lap. I improved my Mustang time by a tenth, so they are more or less equal for me.

Yeah, he’s a known offender. He pushed past me twice in that race. I eventually just eased off to avoid him wrecking both of us.

The bigger issue was that the invisible car got hit all throughout the race because other driver’s couldn’t tell where he was.

The irony of life. I was A/S and after about 15 min, managed to set a 1:51:5 on my main account. I start 12th and 13th in 2 races, do everything right and drive fair and no contact... Both times I get sent to shadow realm being punted after a few overtakes and I finish worse off, lose DR each time and PD decide I'm now a B-rated driver...

I log into 2nd account which is B-rated on purpose, do 1 race no qualy and then another after setting just 1 qualy lap time and 0.6s slower than main account time. Perfect races and kick ass in positions gained!

Not sure if to celebrate 2nd account achievements or set myself on fire for main account curse 🤣🤐🫣

I was in A/S for a short period of time. The guys I raced against made it very clear that they didn't want me there... 🤣
