I've been having more fun on my 2 account vs my 1 account lately. I think 90% of it is I like trying out different cars and don't want to be pigeonholed into using the META.
I've decided the Vette is my favorite car thus far. The Jag is good, too... and I did a couple laps in the '13 GTR that felt good. The RX vision is too loose for me... I am having a hard time keeping the back end planted. The Vette has been great.
And you need to update your screenshot... I knocked ~.400" off my Vette time this afternoon. Still not good, but less bad than before.

Not done daily races for a long time. Jumped onto my Asian account tonight just for a few race and with the lobbies been weak and not very populated it was just good to have some fun and just race others on track. Did daily Race B and Trail Mountain I think is totally underrated. Seen a few people say itās a boring track with boring racing but I think itās one of the top tracks on the game.
Going to jump back on my UK account tomorrow for some racing. Hopefully its clean racing. Looking forward to jumping back on after a while away from sport mode.

Man, I had a whole long thing typed out on my phone and it deleted it somehow. Bah...attempt #2....
3 races for me tonight at at Trial Mountain. I did improve my time but not by much to a 1:51.987. Progress!
Race 1 has me in a mixed room of A/B drivers with me P10 on the grid. Once again, I forgot slipstream is a thing and mess up turn 1. I recover well enough, but then the chaos starts. For the rest of the lap everyone is banging off of each other and lunges all around. I get the worst of one such lunge entering the final chicane while breaks my car and I fall to dead last. The next lap in the same location, I collide with another car as we both hit the apex on the final corner at the same time. 3 second penalty and race is all but over. I finish P13 in the end.
Race 2 has me in an all B driver room and P4 on the grid. The race starts and one of the leaders bins it in turn 1 and the rest of the top 3 have a nice clean race. Well, I did chop the nose of P3 entering the turn after the first tunnel. They got by me on the sweeper same lap so that was an even trade for my nose chop. I get by them and start to chase P1 down. We have a nice fight but they hit the wall at the stump turn and I inherit the lead on the last lap. I feel bad for them as they were fast and clean and that seems to be rare online racing as of late. I don't mess up and come home for another victory!
Race 3 is more of the same fast and clean racing. I start P3 and I cannot make a pass on P2 the entire race. I made too many small mistakes and can't get the job done. They catch P1 on the last lap and their battle allows me to catch up and I bide my time to pounce on any mistake they might make. We all enter the final chicane and I get too greedy and hit the back of P2. Fortunately, they continue on and finish P2 and I lose control. I was going to give the spot back anyway, so me losing it gave them plenty of time to get way. I drop a spot and finish P4. I apologize post race and and they have no hard feelings so we were cool.
Overall, another good night for me as a win and a top 5 is fine by me. I did figure out where I was losing time in qualifying and I'll see what I can do next session. Here's hoping to more clean and successful racing tomorrow!

So it turns out I did remember to save the replay for that wild 4 wide through the tight section. And yes, I'm as deranged as anyone else in that group if not more since I'm driving the Mustang that decided to stay in it while all the way on the outside.

So after adamantly declaring yesterday that my 1.52.6 in the Ferrari at the Mountain was everything iād got, I finally managed a 1.52.2 this morning. After Iāve also found a corner where I lost a few tenths. So Iām now targeting a high 1.51.9 or better, which would be absolutely epic by my miserable standards. Especially given I must be in a pretty uncompetitive car, given that I seem to be the only person in the world thatās using itš.
Unfortunately none of this is helping me in a race, where I always either get dive bombed at the right hander after the 1st tunnel, or I make a stupid mistake under pressure (usually both).

Did some races on the 1 account last night as Z28 and GroveStreet were both streaming so I figured I'd jump in with them. Didn't realize how bad my 50.5 quali time with the Vette was but I don't think I started in the top half in any of the races. I actually think 50.5 is a decent time with the Vette if I do say so myself, but maybe it's time to revisit with the RX-V and/ try out the Porsche... at least for quali.
But, I am stubborn (aka not good at jumping from car to car without any practice) and kept with the Vette for all the races. I think P6 was my best finish, but I finished higher than I started in all the races I guess that's something. I had a top five in the bag but coming around a turn I saw a puff of smoke; two GTRs were fighting and one must've had engine damage because he was going super slow. Unfortunately for me he was driving right in the racing line and despite slamming on my brakes to avoid him, avoid him I did not. Rear ended him, not hard enough to push him off track but hard enough to give me a 2.0 sec penalty. That cost me three places in the end.

more stupidity nad sheep like behaviour pd add open race and then people all just copy each other and use 1 car, nevermind pople spamming a meta in gr4/3 geunius games got very boring for me. especially with pd reusing the 4 year old combinations from gt sport

Yep, and thatās ok. Itās actually pretty fun to drive. I drive the cars that I like and enjoy driving. I donāt understand the obsession with driving the fastest car - unless youāve got professional gamer ambitions. I just enjoy good clean battles.

Yeah I can't do better than a 52.3 and it was in the FT-1 but got 4 cars to a 52.4 so I just use the Supra as it is by far the easiest to handle. I lose a lot of time at the final chicane and especially in the right/left onto the big straight.
Now in race, my low to mid 53 pace is properly competitive mid pack in a S/A room. The big issue is dive bombs, driving standards are atrocious, no one seems to have any sense at all. It's a fun track but TBH there's really only one passing spot that doesn't end in tears.
