I've been having more fun on my 2 account vs my 1 account lately. I think 90% of it is I like trying out different cars and don't want to be pigeonholed into using the META.

I've decided the Vette is my favorite car thus far. The Jag is good, too... and I did a couple laps in the '13 GTR that felt good. The RX vision is too loose for me... I am having a hard time keeping the back end planted. The Vette has been great.

And you need to update your screenshot... I knocked ~.400" off my Vette time this afternoon. Still not good, but less bad than before.
This is my edition of Drive to Survive 🤣 Dirty drivers galore - started P8, punted to P9 (hit on purpose by 3 different drivers within 1 sector) after I had managed 2 clean overtakes.

Keep my cool, drive clean and finish P5 just a few car lengths behind P3 and P4 🎉😅

Thankfully clean race bonus also awarded 😁

Going from Daily Race B to Daily Race C is like watching a Michael Bay movie and immediately jumping into the Notebook.
Race C feels like it’s in slow motion by comparison, for sure!

I keep freaking people out in Race B with bump drafts. I had one guy veer off line and get behind me and flash his lights at me for an entire lap! I didn’t want to waste time to text him, but I’ve started warning people before the race just to (hopefully) avoid confusion!

Here's a glimpse of my strange sense of humor:

I've been having problems with race b, as I suspected would happen, so I've been trying other cars, and since I love the Beetle, I gave it a shot:

I drove pretty bad, although I actually gained 2 places due to attrition. But when I was on the final lap, I noticed it felt kind of lonely:

Nobody was near me! Which got me to wondering if the Beetle is actually a stink beetle? You know, people didn't want to be around me since I stunk so bad? Never mind... :boggled:

It's way better than it was before the last update. Now you can tap curbs and not get penalized. Before then, you didn't even want to look at them.
Definitely but it’s still bad. If someone rams you, you get damage and lose much more time then the person who hit you who might get a penalty or not.

True enough. Fortunately, the damage model is much more forgiving than it used to be, at least for minor damage. You can still race and hopefully not lose much time. Also, most likely everyone else is going to suffer at some time too.

3 seconds penalty for crashing into the wall 😭😭😭. Crashing and damage is penalty enough! Why is there any kind of barrier collision penalty at trial mountain at all?
To prevent wall riding? If anything it makes more sense at Trial Mountain than it does somewhere like Fuji with a bunch of runoff.

First time doing some competitive racing in the dailys today. Only did Daily B as I can’t stand fuel saving, plus I’ve gone of Gr4 cars with the stupid BOP and the 4wd dominance.
Set a lap time of 1.51.4xx. Feel like that is a decent time? As it’s starting me in the top 3 in all my races I’ve done (B/S lobby). Didnt check my global ranking.
As for the races had a mix bag. Couple of times at T1 either the car ahead went slower then I expected which either caused me to crash or take a shortcut, or I had some idiot try and divebomb me into T1. Other than that it’s been pretty smooth driving and the racing been 80% clean.
Last race was the most fun. Running P3 all race and putting pressure on the top 2. Lap 4 P1 had a moment and in going slow and bouncing off a wall this caused me to slow so P4 over took and dropped back by 2 seconds. Then it was a case of just catching the top 2 and they were battling. I knew I just needed to keep it clean and fast, and just wait for them to trip over each other. Well that happen on the final corner. I’ll take a win how ever they come.

Been good fun. Might logged back in tomorrow for some more fun

3 more races for me again tonight. I didn't improve my qualifying time due to me making the dumbest mistakes at inopportune times. I still was making consistent lap times so no real worries.

Race 1 has me in P4 in an all B room. Lap 1 sees a driver hit the wall exiting the tunnel turn leading to the backstretch. I get into the back of them which sends them across the track directly where I was in the attempt of missing the wreck. I only fall to P7 after that mess. After that not much happens and I finish P5.

Race 2 is in a mixed A/B room with me in P8 to start. This race was very elbows out and the pack I was with were nose to tail the first 2 laps. Someone forces a pass on my inside with contact and I hate that garbage so much. The race was much cleaner after that with some great battles with everyone involved. Good stuff. I finish where I start in P8.

The final race is mostly the same room but I'm in P4 this time. The top 5 split from the rest of the back and we are all nose to tail again. Then a big mess happens on lap 3. I have problems entering turn 1. An AMG passes me and P6 is on our tails. The AMG has some problems in the right hand turn after the tunnel and I take evasive maneuvers to avoid them. At the same time, P6 makes a pass on both of us, but we reach the same part of track at the same time. They hit the wall and I escape. Completely unintentional as I didn't think they would make a move. I try to bump draft with the AMG and it kind of works. But not enough to catch up in any significant way. Then, on the last lap, the driver who I hit went full torpedo at me and they get the worst of it. I finish P5 after all of that chaos.

Again a good night of races for me. Perhaps I'll FINALLY hit A rank this week as there is the smallest sliver of pixels to go on the progress bar. I feel confident that it will happen soon as I've been on a decent race finish streak.

Decided I wanted to torture myself today and went MRs only. There are three places they want to kill you: the esses through S1; the crest before the right towards the end; and the final chicane.

My favorite two were the Ford GT 18 and the Lambo. The Ford is pretty stable (for an MR) and the rear is really planted on exit. The Lambo is just fun, in a masochistic way. The pain is love. She's a fickle * but will reward you as well.

These two cars are just dead sexy.

Next time, I think I'll just stub my toe on a chair leg as hard as possible instead. I kid, I kid

Given the catalogue contains letters and you can make expletives out of them, that's not quite the dunk you may intend it to be.

What was the livery?
Content uploaded can mean things you typed in a post-race chat.
I received the same message when I commented after a race about a serial rammer's "lifestyle".

This wasnt the actual livery because it was removed, but apparently the "cross" can be a touchy subject. He Was modeling after a german fighter caught a 7 day psn suspension, never set foot in a public room.

I just got the 3 day suspension for chat related offense, which I have saved the video, and will be disputed when I have the time.

Some people have a sense of humor, and tons of creativity, and others just simply enjoy making others miserable. Its a painful strike.

edit: in a party on my other account, the entire lobby got a violation - zero profanity. Wow pd.

Good luck disputing it, they don't accept it for small violations like that, only for permanent suspensions.

I got a 7 day with the same message, cos I was rude in the chat after being punted off, which fair enough but when I went to contact them (I'd completely forgotten about it tbh and thought they must be wrong) they wouldn't give me any specific info and just said they had a team that decided those and they couldn't be appealed.

Just have to suck it up I'm afraid.

Anyway the best thing to do is just exit the lobby when you're angry, just exit out immediately and then you can't go back. It's really not worth it and you're talking to players who probably get a kick out of your anger rather than feel bad.

"Never argue with an idiot; they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."

I agree, just leave. It often makes people angrier when you just bail rather than try to argue with them... which is exactly what they want.

Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled Sport Mode stuff. I don't have anything new to add so here's a random picture from a few weeks back...

This pretty much sums up my Race B experience too. Great fun, but honest mistakes have unfortunate consequences... When you and your competitors manage to get it right it's SO satisfying.

Boneheads going for overtakes in stupid places are the only thing keeping this race from being the perfect combination.

And this sums up mine 😂

Fast corners where you easily loose some control of your car? Sure lets try to go 3 wide and negate space for whoever is on the left side. And what do you mean I can’t bump you over any kind of racing line on the left corner before the last tunel?

This track has 2 overtaking spots with an extra one if you can keep a tight line and everyone is just trying to push and pass because it’s only 5 laps and everyone is close together with the new rolling starts (which is a good thing btw).

The pace in Race B is insane, how folks rotate so quickly from the right hander to the left hander on to the main straight does my head in.
There’s a lot of half throttle to stop the understeer on exit of the right hander pushing you out too wide. I think you’re hitting the limits of what a binary input can do.

Sorry to clarify, not the final chicane (though that is an issue too) but the right hander out of the tunnel. I am good through there, i keep up with folks, but the shift left to cut across the dirt onto the looooooooooooooooonbg straight, i need to sorts pause, tap the brake, pivot and launch left whereas guys just hang a left and vanish on me.

I found that if I am still inputting a bit of right hand steering as I hit that brake/turn-in point for the left before teh straight, I can much easier "flick" the car to the left (along with some trail braking) to get it to rotate nicely. So I take that right (just before the tunnel) maybe a little wider than some, such the right tires are on the double-yellow line.

Take that for what it's worth from someone who's quali time is a 50.5 in the Corvette. The Porsche would rotate even better but I am done with the Porsche in dailies for a bit.

I'm in the supra which understeers a lot but has advantages. a) I don't lose it, a lot of guys do either on the gas (non RSR) or under brakes (RSR). b) I am an absolute GUN exiting the left out of the tunnel and the left up the mountain after the big straight. Final four corners are a struggle though, the 3 lefts the final right, really tough.
