This is my edition of Drive to Survive 🤣 Dirty drivers galore - started P8, punted to P9 (hit on purpose by 3 different drivers within 1 sector) after I had managed 2 clean overtakes.I've been having more fun on my 2 account vs my 1 account lately. I think 90% of it is I like trying out different cars and don't want to be pigeonholed into using the META.
I've decided the Vette is my favorite car thus far. The Jag is good, too... and I did a couple laps in the '13 GTR that felt good. The RX vision is too loose for me... I am having a hard time keeping the back end planted. The Vette has been great.
And you need to update your screenshot... I knocked ~.400" off my Vette time this afternoon. Still not good, but less bad than before.
Race C feels like it’s in slow motion by comparison, for sure!Going from Daily Race B to Daily Race C is like watching a Michael Bay movie and immediately jumping into the Notebook.

It's way better than it was before the last update. Now you can tap curbs and not get penalized. Before then, you didn't even want to look at them. The penalty system together with the damage system is just unbearable.
Definitely but it’s still bad. If someone rams you, you get damage and lose much more time then the person who hit you who might get a penalty or not. It's way better than it was before the last update. Now you can tap curbs and not get penalized. Before then, you didn't even want to look at them.
True enough. Fortunately, the damage model is much more forgiving than it used to be, at least for minor damage. You can still race and hopefully not lose much time. Also, most likely everyone else is going to suffer at some time too.If someone rams you, you get damage and lose much more time then the person who hit you who might get a penalty or not.
To prevent wall riding? If anything it makes more sense at Trial Mountain than it does somewhere like Fuji with a bunch of runoff.3 seconds penalty for crashing into the wall 😭😭😭. Crashing and damage is penalty enough! Why is there any kind of barrier collision penalty at trial mountain at all?
This is great!!Here's a glimpse of my strange sense of humor:
I've been having problems with race b, as I suspected would happen, so I've been trying other cars, and since I love the Beetle, I gave it a shot:

Given the catalogue contains letters and you can make expletives out of them, that's not quite the dunk you may intend it to be.Meanwhile, we get suspensions for uploaded content, made from their catalog.
Content uploaded can mean things you typed in a post-race chat.Given the catalogue contains letters and you can make expletives out of them, that's not quite the dunk you may intend it to be.
What was the livery?

I also got a warning from them. I dont breach the chat rules, actually rarely chat in GT7, I have uploaded decals but they are all still there. And Sony won't tell you how you breach either.
ive been using the Radical for Race A....it handles great but its just too slow, anyway i enjoy trying to catch up and get past the "fast on the straights but crap in the twisty bits" cars! LOLThe experiment continues...

"Never argue with an idiot; they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience."Anyway the best thing to do is just exit the lobby when you're angry, just exit out immediately and then you can't go back. It's really not worth it and you're talking to players who probably get a kick out of your anger rather than feel bad.
First time doing some competitive racing in the dailys today. Only did Daily B as I can’t stand fuel saving, plus I’ve gone of Gr4 cars with the stupid BOP and the 4wd dominance.
Set a lap time of 1.51.4xx. Feel like that is a decent time? As it’s starting me in the top 3 in all my races I’ve done (B/S lobby). Didnt check my global ranking.
As for the races had a mix bag. Couple of times at T1 either the car ahead went slower then I expected which either caused me to crash or take a shortcut, or I had some idiot try and divebomb me into T1. Other than that it’s been pretty smooth driving and the racing been 80% clean.
Last race was the most fun. Running P3 all race and putting pressure on the top 2. Lap 4 P1 had a moment and in going slow and bouncing off a wall this caused me to slow so P4 over took and dropped back by 2 seconds. Then it was a case of just catching the top 2 and they were battling. I knew I just needed to keep it clean and fast, and just wait for them to trip over each other. Well that happen on the final corner. I’ll take a win how ever they come.
Been good fun. Might logged back in tomorrow for some more fun
And this sums up mine 😂Boneheads going for overtakes in stupid places are the only thing keeping this race from being the perfect combination.
There’s a lot of half throttle to stop the understeer on exit of the right hander pushing you out too wide. I think you’re hitting the limits of what a binary input can do.The pace in Race B is insane, how folks rotate so quickly from the right hander to the left hander on to the main straight does my head in.
Sorry to clarify, not the final chicane (though that is an issue too) but the right hander out of the tunnel. I am good through there, i keep up with folks, but the shift left to cut across the dirt onto the looooooooooooooooonbg straight, i need to sorts pause, tap the brake, pivot and launch left whereas guys just hang a left and vanish on me.There’s a lot of half throttle to stop the understeer on exit of the right hander pushing you out too wide. I found that if I am still inputting a bit of right hand steering as I hit that brake/turn-in point for the left before teh straight, I can much easier "flick" the car to the left (along with some trail braking) to get it to rotate nicely. So I take that right (just before the tunnel) maybe a little wider than some, such the right tires are on the double-yellow line.Sor
