I've found a new mini-game to play in daily race C, it's called follow the streamer as close as possible all the way through the Porsche curves:

I disagree, in the strongest possible terms!
Makes me fall asleep, no hard turns to string together, doesn't matter what time you lose or gain really as the long straight makes it not matter

Not only have I driven it a few times, but I am the sort of person that found it too congested, so I took the black enchantress on the more remote route. It takes an extra day or two.

Sweet!

Now tell me about the new Fanatec thing you were asking about. Is it the new driver update?

Race C is so boring!

@RODDUZ I don’t know what DR level you are, but I agree with you on this. My issue I find in DR B is that the skill level at times can have big gaps which then causes the racing here to be very mix. Yesterday in my race the top 5/6 were all a second quicker than me, so I ended up losing the slip stream very easily in S1. Then the cars behind me again all had a different skill levels so gaps were forming between cars. I was in a 3 car train and we just couldn’t catch the leaders. I’ve had this issue a few time with the skill gap and it just makes the race boring.
@GOTMAXPOWER ive seen you racing with top splits with Gallo, Hizal, Konsta, Kie, Rami etc… and the racing has been to be fair been fun to watch so I can understand why you think it’s a great combo.

Yes I'm a B so probably is that. Constantly have driver's coming out of slipstream on the straight to ride side by side with me ffs
Yeah, there are definitely people who don't get it. :dunce:
I've had people behind me gain a bit of momentum, then pull along side me and stall out. Next thing you know, a whole pack of cars go flying by the both of us. :irked:

I've given C a few runs but no amount of racing will make up for 25% of the lap being me pretending to be on SSRX. Couldn't be less appealing to me.

I don't really think its DR related - more so just if it doesn't click with you then it feels a bit naff. The track is too much nothing for such slow cars.

It brings me to the point of being a little disappointed once again that there are no 'ranked' options for this kind of race. I can't deny the fun factor, but there's been some really competitive, clean racing this week and it's such a shame to walk away at the same DR level and a maximum of 15,000 credits in your pocket.

Absolutely. I love the Cosworth, the Cosworth loves me (so it seems😆), and so far I've been on pole in every single race, worst end result was P2, which could have brought me DR A+ by the end of the week (by racing 24/7).

That would be extremely fake, of course.🤣

To cure me from any kind of hubris, I drove some races from the back on my practice account, which brought me back to earth quickly.😆

So this is what Daily Race C can to your DR/SR this week.

This is a world tour driver too. Baptiste got a DR reset

View attachment 1226292View attachment 1226293

I’ve seen a few people say that too heavy contacts in the bump drafting is causing people to lose SR.
Anyone else had DR resets this weeks?
I have been bump draft without lifting all week and haven't lost any SR. Always in a straight line.

Race C is so boring!
Well DR D class can certainly be interesting. Did my first C race last night.

Position wise I went:

8 > 3 > 5 > 4 > 5 > 9 > 8 > 9 > 7 > 12 > 11 > 13 > 8 > 9 > 5 where I stayed for two laps > 4 on last lap only to be deliberately punted off (by someone called DenMan) to 7th at the Kart-S turn which is where I would finish.

Apart from the dirt play at the end I enjoyed myself. Better that the horror fest that has been Race B this week.

Got another win at Laguna.

Since I dropped to SR A, I got in a lobby where I started P2. And I won by more than 2 seconds, yet I just barely held on to win:

OMFG, was my sphincter clenching!

Was looking to get some thoughts on this 40 second interaction at Laguna Seca B race.
I've watched the clips a few times, and after the first contact, both guys got revenge-happy. As for the first pass, it's hard to say.
Does this look deliberate to you?
From that one angle, yes, it looks deliberate.
How did you fat that chart?
There's a link below the chart you can click on to see an explanation. But here it is again:

Details on how this information was obtained can be found here.

Pink car didn't have the move. Deserved to get taken out. Many times I've had this same situation presented to me and lay off. If you're not sure of it just don't do it. If they tried this on me I'd send them to the shadow realm next hairpin.

I've been doing it all week with no problem, today my SR goes down to A!

Also, the pit straight glitch is still there - had one car in front of me stop dead and drop immediately from 2nd to 3rd, then had a car which was 2 places behind me appear in front of me on the same straight, and then fall back a long way behind.

Here's one of the most insane set of races I've had... and it was beat the meta which made it absolutely amazing...

Enjoy :) @GOTMAXPOWER features alot :P

Fun race. I'm finding the Viper to be pretty good on softs in the wet, as long as you get the braking right for the sharper corners.

Quick question for the YouTubers (@GOTMAXPOWER, @Tidgney, YT_TheKei25 etc) here that race, how do you end up in the same races time and time again. Is it because you're friends and the system will prioritize friends when matching or is it that the A+ class is limited in drivers so the probability of match up is greater?

I'm not friends with either of them on PSN 😝

It's a matchmaking thing for the sport races, everybody who enters a specific race will be split into lobbies based on their driver/sportsmanship rating, usually being any score in A+ / S will get you in the top lobby so people tend to race against the same people a lot.

That's a really awesome concept for a Race C but it's going to be instantly ruined by some dude who spent 10 hours figuring out what specific combination of parts drops his PP to the lowest settings so he can get the best torque/suspension/tyres out of the limits - and then everybody is going to run the exact same thing and it makes all the other options pointless.

It happens every time with these tuning races, it'll only be worse in race C where it actually counts for something.

I don't know what they can do to fix stuff like that though, it's a bit of a shame.

It will be one person at the front who has run 5000 miles over the weekend getting the setup perfected, half a grid who are using the same setup that was the top search result on YouTube and the last half of a grid who haven't tuned who are running around 10 seconds a lap off the pace.

It's nice to have weeks like that where you can play some other games I suppose.

Its that way most of the time, unless your doing a manufacturers cup race.

I like what PD is trying to do with C. I do think they're trying. But as others have said, it'll be like all the past tuning race As and basically be like what MaxPower said. I wonder, will DR/SR be on or off for the C? If it's off, I think that will convince more people to do it. I do wish it was a different track. We just had Suzuka as a Daily C and Nations race.

A might be fun.

B will be a WRX and/or Alfa fest.

They can remove the PP from the equation, just use weight and HP. Then all the cars with the same drivetrain will be viable

Used the Beetle for two attempts at Daily Race B. And finished 8th both times. Would’ve been top 5 in the 2nd race had it not been for a guy that passed me by driving through the sand in turn one and pushing me wide. The first lap of tees race were a demolition derby to say the least (I’m DR D).

Such a shame race c was leaked. Monday would have been awesome if people didn't come in with a tested and ready setup.

It's limited by power and weight and pp from the looks of it which is interesting. Pp exploits seem to have been pretty much eliminated since differential and transmission doesn't count towards it anymore, but even if someone finds one, power and weight should even it out fairly well. What the pp does control is then mainly tyres and downforce, and with the amount of cars and available tyres maybe finding the 'perfect' car will be difficult, and it may end up like the nordschleife TT where a variety of tunes ended up being viable based on personal preference.

Shame there's no tyre wear and fuel on top of it so you could tune for a strategy of choice, but maybe this is a step towards that in the future.

Everyone was bashing race c last week, but it turned out to be alright, so hopefully this is another one of those.

Tuning in the first week of daily races at launch actually worked out pretty well (except for a hybrid car ruining race b eventually)

Ok that’s an interesting Daily C for next week. I can see why PD have done this as not all the player base want to drive race cars all week, every week.
For me I can’t see myself doing daily c. So I don’t really understand the full tuning of things on this game, and also how people can exploit the tuning settings, and also with having ADHD the whole fine tuning and doing test and error laps I just lose patience within minutes. If I do do daily c next week, it will have to be a set up I found from someone and I’ll just have to race that.

Hopefully this is now a sign of things improving for the game and PD are finally unleashing the full game’s potential.
