GT7 Daily Race Discussion

Of course one car is always gonna be (marginally) best, but the Atenza is so far ahead its ridiculous.
The car is also completely and utterly boring to drive.

I'm curious how many Atenza drivers I can kick ass with any other car (probably the M4) this week ;D

The question will then be how many Atenza drivers accuse me of being an unfair "steering wheel driver" while they "have to" play with the pad.

Race A - Little silly having a prize car needed to compete. Shouldn't ever be the case.

As if they've just dumped this in there without thinking.

I doubt that, probably trying to get players who only play Sport mode to try out different game modes. I'd understand if this was a higher license but it's gold on National B, they should honestly force players to do the license tests before they can race online anyway haha.

Although I do agree that it is a bit gatekeeping, think of it as needing to get a racing license to be allowed to race. It’s not difficult to gold that license.

The Mitsubishi gto has also been in the ucd already, so I'm sure most people have one....

Looking forward to giving tis weeks A race a few tries at least. Not a track that i like much nor do i tend to fair well there, but I'm trying to force myself to participate in races that push my comfort level.

Had a bunch of good races last week, and i LOVE, LOVE, that we can run our own cars in race A now......

Ah shucks ... GR4 cough Atenza takeover.

The RCZ Gr3 and Atenza both just need nerfing ASAP as swiftly as they resolved the economy issues in game. Go a step further and re-evaluate the BoP balancing full stop.

I really was hoping for some Gr2 / Gr1 action by this point ... why are they holding off on this?

Will probably give Daily C an attempt in something other than the Atenza and see how it goes.

Thanks for this - I finally went back to gold the first two braking missions. The GTO makes for a fun Race A, and 30k for a clean fourth place isn’t offensive

Looks like a bit meh the daily races, especially daily b, since I despise Tokyo Central. I will give daily a and c a go, after first grinding a bit for Ferrari 250 GTO and I shall buy it. Luckily I already have 11M+

It is not only being a better driver, it is also be a better person.
The way some people behave in some games, is nothing more than his usual behaviour.

Not hard to try to use the common sense. We are playing a game, but we're playing IRL.
Serving a penalty on a racing line, knowing that the car will lose the ghost function... [/MEDIA]

And moreover, you play with all helps on, so no excuse. You know where racing line is.

But I will definitely test the M4 and still expect good results in my low class.

The M4 drives beautifully at Tokyo, I'm not a big fan of those circuits but must admit it's such a smooth ride it makes it fun.

Catalunya I'm 2 seconds off my Atenza time though, good luck there but I don't the M4 is the one. I did notice the old school Alfa touring car doing well, so maybe there's something in that.

If you won it then wide bodied it then you're knackered, can't do it again, can't buy it, can't undo the mod that you would have had no idea would affect a future daily.

I appreciate on this level it's a small car at a lowly license test, but it's just bad planning on PD's part for Sport mode and this shouldn't happen.

Yeah that sucks. Although I think you can undo the wide body buy restoring it. Not sure but I think there’s a way.

Looking at this week's races, I don't feel bad for continuing to grind out the LCD. I've never been a fan of GR.4, will drive it on the Nordschleife but that's about it. I've never been a fan of Fuji either so that's 3 strikes this week.

GT Sport didn't change the races again and there the same problem. GR.4 or a track I'm not interested in.

Have to say I’m bored of seeing these two car fill the lobbies. I don’t own either car so unable to say how they drive, but I guess if they are the best two cars I can understand why people use them.

Daily B is just annoying. So difficult to overtake without getting a penalty
Daily C. Only raced once so far but I found it difficult. In lobby B/S and I started P16 and quali time was like 7 seconds of 1st. Race gets going and I make a few places, and try to do a bit of fuel saving, but I was finding the others behind where able to past so I stuck it on FM1 and pitted. Running P20 and I wasn’t really catching the pack, and i was hoping people would pit. From what I could tell only 1/2 cars pitted and most fuel saved. I finished P19 only due to a car running out of fuel. Im assuming I was stuck in a lobby that was way above my skill set as I just couldn’t catch any car, even when they were fuel saving

Check out Wombleleader racing on youtube - he always provides a nice informative video each week for Daily C strategy assistance , might be some time you could make up without even realising it!

Did one Race C. I don’t own the Atenza so qualified and raced in the GTR. Started on pole, won the race. The Atenza isn’t all that.

Not even going to make this an anti-BoP post, but:

Race A: A one-make race, that has restricted settings, that you can't enter a car for if you made permanent changes to your car. What in the world? Make it a tuning race!!!!!

Race A literally proves PD got scared with the outrage the first two weeks. Not sure anyone needs any other proof that they listened.
