The photos you create in GT7 and share on your GT7 profile can be accessed from you GT7 Profile page.

Race photos and scape photos yes, so long as you share them. But photos you take with the PS5, can't. At least not that I am aware of.

So this one is linked to my account:

But like this one, I am not aware of a way to put this onto the site as it's a snapshot from the PS5 rather than a GT7 photo. So I do the USB thing and upload...

It’s such a convoluted mess! Every time I finally figure it all out, I get so frustrated that I don’t bother with it for long enough that I forget it all again and have to learn it all over from scratch. Why in the world would PD make this so hard to use when PS has its own editing tools?

I never remember if I’m doing something in GT7 or PSN, or who knows whatever else is going on. I “share” GT photos but not to my PS5, or vice versa. It shouldn’t be hard to figure out, so it feels like it’s intentionally obfuscated for some inane reason.

The ones you take with the share feature of the ps5 appear on your ps app and stay there for 15 days iirc. It’s the least convoluted way to get photos, or clips, from ps5.

Well this was as unexpected as a flying monkey 🤣

Did 3 laps practice/ qualy for Race B with a few cars. I felt the most comfortable in the MR cars, especially the Renault. However, managed my fastest time in the Supra (1:35:4) compared to an average of 1:35:8 in the Renault.

The thing is I was almost losing the car a lot during the laps so for the first race, took the safe option (Renault) and wouldn't you know it - getting downgraded to B/S from getting punted last week turned out to be a bit of an advantage 🤣

I know I can go faster but optimistic start, which I know will evolve to sadness, anger and frustration as the week passes 🤣

Well DRB might be my favourite for a while, apart from that horrid bend chicane type affair (you know the one). I think that's where I'm losing time, I have no idea where to brake or turn.

Depends what car you're driving but the idea is to downshift to 3rd in the Supra or other FR cars and short shift to 4th and floor it as soon as the car is straight! That's also true for the final chicane before the last corner onto the straight to end the lap.

I just improved by another 0.3s and was almost a second ahead quite a few times but managed to spin or crash each time in different places 🤣 To be honest my qualy strategy has always been all out - either crash or get a decent time 🙂

Heh that's mine too, I try not to get distracted by the red/blue gap numbers but it can sometimes be off putting.

Mind you there is some consolation to being knocked down to C/S momentarily, win number 8, babs:

Ah… PS4 user here, so I’ll stick to using my phone for now

Sometimes I do it that way because it's easier. I have my PS5 connected to my YT channel, but none of the photo hosting platforms (mainly because I don't Twitter or whatever the other one is). So the only way for me to transfer them is via USB and it's kinda annoying for something quick.
Mainly because I’m viewing the forum on my phone, so it’s super easy for me to do it all while I’m sitting in my race seat.
And some people thought I was being lazy for suggesting this, which I use all the time:
I don't do much of anything on my phone... screen is too small. I am still a computer guy.
Yeah, me too.
Why can't Sony just implement a media server on the PS5 so you can pull your content over LAN rather than this convoluted mess, I don't know why!
An excellent question.
Sorry, you lost me here.
Nothing wrong with being a Windows user. Many of my friends are Windows users. (I was trying to make that sound funny, but I think I failed.)
I Think the actual Nordschleife track has come up once in daily races.
Yep. It was used in Daily Race C back in July of last year, and it was the track that hooked me on daily races. The fact they haven't used it again for daily races is criminal. Aside from it being a friggin' awesome track, it's the only track that can keep my attention long enough to do a Race C.

I have no idea why they would exclude one of, if not THE best track in the game, from daily races. So what if they use it in the other races?

Curse you, PD! I shake my fist at you.

Im losing time there too.

Having watched a couple of replays, I think people are just sending it in qualifying and hoping to keep the car under control.

I get a relatively repeatable minimum speed of just over 80mph through it in the RCZ, the top people in qually have a minimum of 90mph or so, but the car is all over the place...kudos to anyone that can do that reliably in a race.

And some people thought I was being lazy for suggesting this, which I use all the time:
That is a really good idea. Unfortunately for me, my PS5 and computer aren't very close to each other as my laptop is upstairs and my PS5 is in the basement. I could take my laptop downstairs for said transfers, but at that point it's easier to just take a USB stick.

I do appreciate the ingenuity.

The chicane at the bottom of the track in B?
I brake as the second white line on the right reaches the track, same place the curb starts. Brake hard in a straight line, release brake and tun in so you clip left entry curb, right center curb, left exit curb.

Is there actually rain in Race C?

Because I've done 7 races on it now and not once seen any rain. Every time it's gotten close on the weather map it always finds a way to just change its course at the last moment and avoid the track.

I know it's just the first day of the week, and I've only done one race, but I have already abandoned the dream of having a wet race this week, lol. The way the clouds move, I feel like this race has even less chance of rain than the one at Spa a few weeks back. I don't know how to describe why I feel this way.

The closest I saw to rain was in a video by PHG_Papa on YouTube. The first lap saw an intermediate level wet track, but it was already dry before the end of the first lap. Here's hoping that PD will feel more confident in bringing actual rain in a Daily Race.

Yeah, that's a problem for sure. Or just buy another laptop to keep down with the PS5! (I love spending other people's money.)

Ciao Tutti!

Well, I know you've all been dying to know how I've been getting on since I last posted, so I'll indulge you! Racing Gr.4 has been a mixed bag. I only tend to do the circuit's I know for now and, to be honest, it has been a mixed bag. I had annoyingly became THAT guy that ultimately got so frustrated at his lack of talent, he logged off whenever the inevitable happened and he was facing the. I don't like THAT guy, so I've banned myself from doing it, telling myself every lap is learning even if I'm last.

So, having banned myself from logging off, it become a mixed back of running around at the the back, and finishing where I started (which I was chuffed with). Then, once glorious day at Spa, I got a podium from a hard-fought, and thoroughly exhilarating battle to the line between 3rd-6th, I got lucky and, having just jumped up to 5th on the last lap, due to a mistake from the poor chap in front, 3/4th decided to overshoot the final chicane leaving a door wide enough for my Vantage V8 to nip through!

There has been little such success since but every day and every lap is education. That said....I just had ago at La Mans 24hr Gr.2 event. wow. what a bunch of donkeys that was. Probably just the crowd I was racing with but my word. I've never had such a rubbish time.

Having started well, qualifying 9th and jumping up to 7th from the start, the race was non-stop action from the first chicane. Hunting down 4/5/6th I could see up in front an absolute ding-doing going on with each car smacking into the side of the other. Biding my time, and waiting for the inevitable moment they all collected each other into gravel I sat back and whiled away the miles fending off the attack from behind, from a decent driver intent on making my work, hard.

Managing to slip up into 6th, taking the place from a one, we were having a good ol' fashioned slobber knocker, right up until he decided to not brake at the first hairpin and smack me off into the gravel. Fighting my way back up to that nutbag of 3 car pack again, and putting in a decent race for my talent (or lack there of), imagine my horror when at the hard left hander before the second hairpin, some utter cretin did it again and launched me into the barrier. Try to rush back to the track only, as it was the second to last lap, had me frustratedly doing donuts and, only due to time-penalties and random cars in the gravel and DNFs meant I managed to finish 1 place down on my starting position

I've read some horror stories on online racing, but honestly myself not had one till this afternoon. I don't get what drives people to simply ram people off the road. I get it could have been an honest mistake, but given I sat behind this donkey for most of the race, watching him and the other two cars around him bash into each other like some sort of destruction derby, leaves me to think it was all intentional. They should impose bans on people that dick about like that, Im in this for the racing and the fun, whether Im any good or not - I give it ago, even if I am making up numbers round the back. It's certainly not any fun when you get launched off the track. don't even get me started on the penalites! goodness me.

Not cool! can anyone suggest any other type of race where I can avoid this type of thing or is the Online daily racing the only thing?

Ya, go to another game. There is zero incentive to drive clean. Once someone also learns where they can put you off and give you a penalty for hitting the wall, it's just not fun. There are attempts to fix it by PD, but they are usually just swings in the severity of said penalty. If you can make it to the A level, there is less shenanigans, but then sometimes it is just more experienced, clever shenanigans. It may be worth it if the races were longer, but a 10 mins wait for a terrible 7 mins race gets old. I think PD likes to keep the online hype up with GT Finals and Championships, but I don't think PD wants to really enhance the Sport mode as the game has always been about looking pretty and single player.

Just had rain move in on lap 4 and it was enough to have to pit for IMs, and it stayed wet for that entire last lap.

My first two attempts to take part yesterday were scuppered by wet qualifying. I haven't even unlocked the track in the normal game yet, so haven't driven it in the dry at all. I decided best to quit before matchmaking rather than go into a race clueless about the track.

Thankfully this morning was better, dry qualifying, with a bit of rain for a lap in the race, nothing too difficult though. I think I was getting the hang of the track by the end, well, other than a losing a place on the last lap when I went off on the entry to the Porsche curves.

It is worth it to finish the single player “career” and unlock everything, just so you can do practice races. Only takes a few hours if you drop the difficulty, not a lot of grinding required (if any).

I'm getting there, slowly, it just seems so tedious doing 5 laps of driving past slow numpty AI cars when I could do a proper race instead.

Right. I have a ghost Twitter account for those I never use. Instead I copy them to a USB drive and rarely share them because it's annoying 🤠

Apparently easier on the PS4 then. I just send it as a message to my alt then share it from my phone

It's the exact same on PS5.

Screenshot > send to yourself / alt account through messages > view message on PS APP > save to phone from app.

Same process on both PS4 & PS5.

Whole process takes seconds, depending on your internet bandwidth.

I did one race B last night, started at the back just to get used to race trim. Made a few passes up to 10th before someone tagged the back end going up the hill and spun me out. Im about to lose my A+ rating and get demoted to A... Not to burst your guys bubble but the drivers don't really get any cleaner when you get to A or higher LOL. My race at Daytona GTWS was one of the most frustrating races I've ever had. Had both races i had time to do ruined by crappy drivers. Ended up skipping Nurburgring just because i didn't want to spend hours practicing and hours sitting around for the races just to have them ruined.

As for the rain... I think now PD is just teasing it because it generates a buzz. So many videos about Will it Rain? Or Dynamic Weather.

Gonna stream some Daily B races today... hopefully I get some good lobbies LOL...
