Italian 1-2-3 yesterday at RaceC

Did the Gr.4 at Suzuka(I like doing one race once in awhile, less stress :)). Again, no qualy, 15/15. 1 of 3 Supras in the field. Silvia’s seem to be the choice. More like a proper GT4 race with no FFs.

After T1, the Supra ahead of me just lost it will accelerating and speared off to the right, into the barriers. Next lap, a Silvia loses it the corner before the underpass. Next lap, after T3, a Silvia is pointing into the barriers and it’s tyres are doing burnouts.
Penultimate lap, the 650S and Silvia, ahead of me, are battling. The Silvia gets wide before the underpass and shoots off the grass across the nose of 650S. I finish on the rear bumper of the 650S, 11/15. No dramas for me.

I'm honestly enjoying Daily Race B at Suzuka so much. This event is so tough and keeps me on the edge of my seat for all five laps, with other folks just tenths of seconds ahead and behind me. Everyone is being very patient and clean, waiting to pounce on mistakes by guys in front. I'm going to miss it but am excited to see rainy (hopefully) Le Mans in GR2 next week.

@skidmark69, do you know what the weather is going to be like for the upcoming Daily Race at Le Mans? Is its weather ID the same as the previous Le Mans race?

Up and down race C events today. Qualified on a 19.4 which put me mid grid on a B/S lobby. I think I may have been hit 9 times on the first lap alone and punted to parts of the track I’d never seen before.

Decided I needed to get out of the gaggle so did another qualifying run for the next race and got down to a 19.1.

This put me on pole for the next race, and the main culprit from the previous race was right next to me on the grid. Change of fortune though this time, with a lights to flag victory, lapping consistently with no penalties. Matey next to me got shuffled down the order pretty quick as well - nice way to end the day.

I don't feel this. You can feel the cars more and the differences between them are more pronounced in my opinion. Learning a new car is easier for me in this update as you can feel what it's doing. The cars I'm used to make me now think I can push that little bit harder. Until it goes wrong. That's my problem. But I'm loving this update.
I actually agree with this. The feel and FFB changes are good. The balance is what's all out of sorts now. Some cars (Vette, Mustang) are straight undriveable. I think the change is overall good but it came at the expense of balance and I guess when in doubt just make the GTR and Supra good right?

Never felt like I couldn't drive what I wanted before. Yeah they feel more realistic and "better" but the BoP is sorely lacking. That's my main issue.

After playing around with some settings tonight with the Gr.4 Mustang, I set my fastest time with it @ 2:12.6
I was loving what I had found was consistent top 5 and higher before getting punted a few times. Still managed P7 for a couple of those incidents.

So with that knowledge I went and tried the same settings on the Gr.3 Mustang and was able to set times
similar to the RCZ I qualified with, just didn't put enough time into setting a better QT.

Used the same settings on the Aston Martin and did a quick lap in it and decided to race it in the C race.
I started P7 and quickly moved up to P4 and was running good until a green flagger punted me with one
lap to go. Finished P9.

Now IF you are wondering what these settings are, the majority of you will pupaw and make noises
about it.
It was nothing more than saying lets try something WAY different. So here you go.... TC was set to FOUR
Could not believe the difference it made to the Mustang and Aston. I was not losing time to anyone through
the corners, car was super stable.
So give it a try you have nothing to lose.

What controller/FFB/FFS are you using? And are you on a wheel or controller? Sorry I can’t recall. I’m always curious about others setting’s, I’m constantly changing them. I ll even change them from lap to lap during qualifying sessions. 🍻

Did a test with the Audi for the upcoming Le Mans Gr2 race. The DRS didn’t seem to make any difference, I was in the slipstream of a 2016 Lexus and actually losing ground.

I got into some races with DeadEyeDelboy the other day, and it was an absolute pleasure to race against him and he was very complimentary of my driving during his stream, which means a lot. I've very much enjoyed Race B this week, the pace and handling of the GR4 cars is something I get along with very well, whereas I find GR3 to be a bit more hit and miss and is very dependent on the track whether I enjoy it or not with Race C this week being an example of the latter.

That's quite surprising, but if that does carry over to the official races next week then it should at least make things more interesting as GR2 is so small, all the cars can be competitive (or at least they were in the last GR2 race which I think was Autopolis a while back).

I just ran my daily Race C and I saw Grove Street somewhere on the horizon ahead of me . . .
yeah, he does that....
I beat Grove once. Literally once. It was a loooooooong time ago when there was a Race B at Monza. I am no fool, I only beat him because he was in this POS car while streaming side-by-side with Z28. They were both driving POS cars for this track and just seeing how it would pan out. I beat Z28 as well who was in a Porsche (back then the Porsche had like zero straight line speed!).

Z got spun and I think Grove got pushed off at some point, too. Heck, now that I think about it I got murdered so bad at T1 I got reset, so maybe those cancel out. I got Grove by .003" at the line.

This was a wild race but it was fun. Lots of good action at Suzuka this week. Five of us were bunched up for a while training places. Would have been a closer finish if I didn't make a mistake at the end :dunce:

Z28 is cool.

I fondly remember racing against him.

Interesting - Was the test in a lobby with BoP enabled?

oh I forgot to add all that. I'm a mid B driver and use a T300 wheel. Sometimes have it set at 4 + 1 other times 3+5

Sorry guys noob question, just got a 1 min penalty in race c and I don’t know why? I even pitted onto medium (not sure what I started in) what a great race combo btw

Racing hards are mandatory for the race. You could start in mediums and pit for hards in a certain lap, or you could use hards throughout the entire race.

It is best to go with hards only throughout the race as you won't have to pit, which saves time.

For me personally (using G29) its different settings for different cars and tracks.
Generally, GT3 cars need more precision and not as much torque settings (again, this is what I find works for me) so for example, I run the Supra/ AMG/ M6 on 5/6/9 and the GT4 GT-R and Silvia on 5/4/6 at Suzuka.

Good run in Gr4 this morning in my trusty Aston Martin in a mixed A and B lobby. Started 6th, shuffled down to 8th on lap 1 but climbed back to 4th with a CRB at the end.

Full of enthusiasm and confidence I hopped over to RA where I was third in the grid for the Gr3 race. Good run from the green light on 2nd, they moved to cover the inside, so in my wisdom I decided to try and go around the outside… I almost made it as well 😂

Why don't you use regular PS screenshots, instead of taking pictures with a camera? Please don't think I'm criticising you - I'm not. I just want to know why. I have top-secret reasons for wondering.

Sometimes I do it that way because it's easier. I have my PS5 connected to my YT channel, but none of the photo hosting platforms (mainly because I don't Twitter or whatever the other one is). So the only way for me to transfer them is via USB and it's kinda annoying for something quick.

I will do the USB thing eventually... once there is enough pictures to make it worth it.

I'm going to be running a lobby for next weeks daily C. I really would like to test the new Audi. Anyone is free to come join for some practice. I have weather set to random so hopefully some rain comes running through. Maybe do an all rain race

the room name is "Daily C practice, random weather"
