Why don't you use regular PS screenshots, instead of taking pictures with a camera? Please don't think I'm criticising you - I'm not. I just want to know why. I have top-secret reasons for wondering.
Mainly because I’m viewing the forum on my phone, so it’s super easy for me to do it all while I’m sitting in my race seat. USB sticks back and forth is just hassle. And just to prove how easy it is….😉

Never had three stars before!

Edit: I don’t understand folks still trying with mediums at the start for the RA race. I’ve never seen it work - can anyone enlighten me?

Good run in Gr4 this morning in my trusty Aston Martin in a mixed A and B lobby. Started 6th, shuffled down to 8th on lap 1 but climbed back to 4th with a CRB at the end.

Full of enthusiasm and confidence I hopped over to RA where I was third in the grid for the Gr3 race. Good run from the green light on 2nd, they moved to cover the inside, so in my wisdom I decided to try and go around the outside… I almost made it as well 😂
Fellow Aston user wooo!!! Its my favourite FR Gr4 car to drive since 1.31. I like the neutral handling (mild understeer) and good gearing. Why do you like it?

Same reason. Pulls like a train up the full and again out of the hairpin… and it sounds awesome!

Had a quick Gr3 race this evening. Started 6th and was up to 3rd by lap 4, but then got completely harpooned into the chicane, which was a disappointing end to an otherwise fun week on a couple of great tracks. Skeptical about this coming week… gr2 on mediums or in the wet might be beyond me, and the gr3 race doesn’t inspire me on that track.

Sometimes I do it that way because it's easier. I have my PS5 connected to my YT channel, but none of the photo hosting platforms (mainly because I don't Twitter or whatever the other one is). So the only way for me to transfer them is via USB and it's kinda annoying for something quick.

I will do the USB thing eventually... once there is enough pictures to make it worth it.

You can download your screenshots from the ps app on your phone. No more usb stick hassle 😊

Here's my fastest lap so far for the new Race A.

I like the car alright and feel like I can put it where I want it but I've never driven this variation of the track until today so with all of the different elevations and track limits, I don't fully know where I want the car to be yet. This is probably a combination I could do 5,000 miles of practice with and still feel like I've never had a smooth lap. Realistically I might put in about 50 miles of last to first racing on my alternate account.

I agree, the Audi is erratic in this track :indiff:

Got a win out of that race, due to the fact that I could be the cause of the pole sitter going wide at lap 1, turn 1 😬

But most important.......went to Daily B, used the GT-R for the 1st competitively and got a hard fought victory :D

Thus making my 1st Mixed Sport Mode Victory video

I picked up a lucky early win in race A, from second on the grid - simply enough by taking the lead @ turn 1 when the pole sitter ran wide on exit and then stayed clear of the panel bashing through the race. Mid 1:46 qualifying time so far, but its going to be one of the weeks where tenths improvements are possible in loads of places around the track.

A penalty of any kind will really hurt here as the slowing zone is uphill, so a clean race is an absolute must. Last week a half second penalty in race A had only very a small effect.

Did a couple of race C to check it out with weather. Pick the right tires!!!! I misread the direction on the weather radar and thought the rain was setting in so picked IM. Bad move as the rain was leaving. Track was dry by the end of lap 1. I was a sitting duck and dangerous as they had no grip in the dry and I had to brake so so early. Got rammed off a few times but I couldn't blame them as I was having to brake scary early to make turns. Started p3, finished p12 or so.

Next race I got it right with the slicks and had a good battle. Polesitter was a weaver on the straights which just annoyed me no end, but they screwed up a few times and the alien doing last to first helped drag me past in their slip and I ended up keeping p2 in the end. Much better race.

CLK does well if you know how to drive it, but a competent hand in that Audi really evens it out a bit. Haven't had a chance to try against the '16 cars yet as the only people in them were at the back. Rest of us enjoying playing with the odd boys.

If you download the PS App to your phone, you can set your system to sync photos to the app, and from there upload them anywhere with ease.

You can also just send the screen shot to yourself if you don't want to enable the sync option. Then from the app, save the photo to your device and upload wherever.

This is what I do. No longer take pics with my phone - mainly because I have a 2-yr old who loves to put his filthy fingers all over the screen at any given chance and my screen is never spotless anymore. HAHA!

Racing hards are mandatory for the race. You could start in mediums and pit for hards in a certain lap, or you could use hards throughout the entire race.

It is best to go with hards only throughout the race as you won't have to pit, which saves time.
Yeah that way got me a nice and fortunate win earlier in the week, my Porsche must have had mediums to begin with, doh!

Ciao Tutti!

Well, I know you've all been dying to know how I've been getting on since I last posted, so I'll indulge you! Racing Gr.4 has been a mixed bag. I only tend to do the circuit's I know for now and, to be honest, it has been a mixed bag. I had annoyingly became THAT guy that ultimately got so frustrated at his lack of talent, he logged off whenever the inevitable happened and he was facing the. I don't like THAT guy, so I've banned myself from doing it, telling myself every lap is learning even if I'm last.

So, having banned myself from logging off, it become a mixed back of running around at the the back, and finishing where I started (which I was chuffed with). Then, once glorious day at Spa, I got a podium from a hard-fought, and thoroughly exhilarating battle to the line between 3rd-6th, I got lucky and, having just jumped up to 5th on the last lap, due to a mistake from the poor chap in front, 3/4th decided to overshoot the final chicane leaving a door wide enough for my Vantage V8 to nip through!

There has been little such success since but every day and every lap is education. That said....I just had ago at La Mans 24hr Gr.2 event. wow. what a bunch of donkeys that was. Probably just the crowd I was racing with but my word. I've never had such a rubbish time.

Having started well, qualifying 9th and jumping up to 7th from the start, the race was non-stop action from the first chicane. Hunting down 4/5/6th I could see up in front an absolute ding-doing going on with each car smacking into the side of the other. Biding my time, and waiting for the inevitable moment they all collected each other into gravel I sat back and whiled away the miles fending off the attack from behind, from a decent driver intent on making my work, hard.

Managing to slip up into 6th, taking the place from a one, we were having a good ol' fashioned slobber knocker, right up until he decided to not brake at the first hairpin and smack me off into the gravel. Fighting my way back up to that nutbag of 3 car pack again, and putting in a decent race for my talent (or lack there of), imagine my horror when at the hard left hander before the second hairpin, some utter cretin did it again and launched me into the barrier. Try to rush back to the track only, as it was the second to last lap, had me frustratedly doing donuts and, only due to time-penalties and random cars in the gravel and DNFs meant I managed to finish 1 place down on my starting position

I've read some horror stories on online racing, but honestly myself not had one till this afternoon. I don't get what drives people to simply ram people off the road. I get it could have been an honest mistake, but given I sat behind this donkey for most of the race, watching him and the other two cars around him bash into each other like some sort of destruction derby, leaves me to think it was all intentional. They should impose bans on people that dick about like that, Im in this for the racing and the fun, whether Im any good or not - I give it ago, even if I am making up numbers round the back. It's certainly not any fun when you get launched off the track. don't even get me started on the penalites! goodness me.

Not cool! can anyone suggest any other type of race where I can avoid this type of thing or is the Online daily racing the only thing?

It's 10% of all the tracks in the game. Considering the vanishingly rare Colorado/Fisherman/Windmills Dailies (and Catalunya RC) and the probability we'll never see BB Raceway/Blue Moon Bay Oval/Daytona Tri-Oval/Northern Isle/Route X, it's likely we'll see Maggiore at least at one in nine races - or once every three weeks.

And that's not taking into account the lack of races at other disfavoured circuits (Alsace Test, Sainte-Croix) and the... extreme unlikelihood of racing at Horse Thief Mile. I don't know if reality bears it out because I haven't kept track (despite the articles) but I'd estimate Lago Maggiore to appear in just under half of all weekly races (roughly one in eight races, or three times every eight weeks).

So it's been used 17 times in 61 weeks which isn't far off 1 in 3 like you said

Daily Race A for this week looks pretty fun, with a modestly-powered AWD car. Definitely will need to give it a swing.

I don't do much of anything on my phone... screen is too small. I am still a computer guy. Thanks, regardless.
If you are a Mac person you can download from the PS app on phone and it will save to your PSShare folder in Photos. Then if you have cloud based Photos it'll appear on your MacBook Photos a few seconds later that you can then drag into GTP. But yeah, still kind of a hassle...

Why can't Sony just implement a media server on the PS5 so you can pull your content over LAN rather than this convoluted mess, I don't know why!
