I have no idea what my DR is. I just finished a single race so far😄
It'll be E. Your DR is E until you have completed five races. It's displayed at the top of the screen when you enter Sport Mode, towards the top of your profile page, and alongside your name in any multiplayer race preview/results screen.

At E and D, ghosting will be absurdly strong. Cars will be ghosted at virtually any instance where they may collide. Once your DR rises, this will become less common; there's hardly any at B except in incidents where a car is wildly spinning out of control and lapped cars are ghosted too.

And what I said about always starting last was about the single player mode - where you just always start dead last.

No, sorry that's a wrong impression. I will keep on playing ofc, I was just really confused today 'cause the idea of ghosting didn't even cross my mind. What came to my mind first when I saw it was that the guy maybe lost connection. But I would never have thought that the game does this intentionally.
Keep racing, I think you need 10 races to get out of driver rating E?? Can't remember 🤔 The ghosty thing will disappear once you get a bit higher up. When I started a new account, it was very distracting having cars drive through me 🤣

You'll still get ghosting in almost every lobby where someone has crashed and bounced back on track. I try to treat them like they're not ghosted, as sometimes they'll un-ghost just when you don't want them to.

The racing can be fantastic after a while - try and keep your Sportsmanship "SR" at S. If you get a lobby full of SR S folk the racing should be much cleaner (though sometimes isn't 🙈)

My first race (GT Sport) was a C race with Gr2 cars round Fuji - I started last and got lapped by half the grid 🙈

EDIT/ @Famine just posted it's 5 races 👍

Nice to see you in Race A this afternoon. I was playing in only my 2nd race of the week and the gap was absolutely inevitable!

As much as I love this combo, trundling along alone in 4th with my only real concern being a missed braking point by the guy behind me isn't really doing it for me.

It's a shame Sport Mode doesn't have enough scope to provide interesting combos like this with more laps/weather/strategy.

This race seems a missed opportunity, I would've liked it with less grippy tyres an extra lap and a standing start. Its fun as it is but it could be a lot better.

Been stuck for the last couple of days in Race C with one of those 'start from the back with no QT' hooligans! He's obviously fast, as he gets past 4 or 5 cars before Druids at the start, albeit by pushing people wide at Paddock Hill Bend, and then diving up the inside into Druids.....

He continues to catch up to, and then pass people by pushing them wide in the corners, occasionally eventually ending up in the lead. If he makes it to P1, he stays there, if he doesn't he stops before the line on the final lap and hence finishes last - presumably so that he can keep his DR down, and end up in lobbies (low end B) that make this behaviour easier. Needless to say he manages to avoid a reduction in his SR.

I do wish people would drive to their own level, and leave us slower drivers to enjoy our races!
