Yes I guess it’s relative to your normal kind of level, I’d say I was BA - I’ve won before at BS, when I’ve nailed a good time and racing at a combo I’m good with.

I’ve been at A a few times, never won a race at A, won quite a few whilst repairing my DR/SR etc lower than what I’d say was my level.

That’s why usually my only target is to finish in the top 5, for the stats 😁

Maybe I’m just rambling now 🤣
My target is just to finish!

I made DR A a couple of times in GTSport, but only ever stayed there long enough to lose all the extra DR points gained, before dropping back to B. Was always a mid-B driver, but I now cling on at the bottom of B (I think I was one race away from C today, but managed a good result in my last race).

My SR journey in Race C this week has been a bit like yours, as you described earlier - started the week at S, and stayed there until Thursday. Friday races dropped me to A, Saturday's to B, today's to C..... Managed to then get myself back up to mid-B.

It's so difficult to avoid problems at Red Bull Ring - I lost count of the times I got rammed into the car in front of me, thus earning a penalty and subsequent SR drop. Once that has started you then get caught in a spiral, as the races get worse when you drop down the SR rankings 😕

Dropped my Race C QT down to a 1:28.311 with the NSX Gr.3 (default).

Race 1: Started P7. Avoided a stationary Ferrari at the start. Capitalized on other cars getting penalties. Finished P4.

Race 2: Started P7. Saw cyirush. Sup! Benefited from faster cars having accidents in the final laps. Finished P5.

Race 3: Started P6. Committed a murder, and got murdered at Turn 1 on Lap 1. Escaped without a penalty. Was a little sloppy on my recovery drive, and may have slowed cyirush up a few times. Sup! Finished P10.

Race 4: Started P8. Got murdered at Turn 3 on Lap 1. Drove angry. Finished P8.

Shaved my QT down to a 1:28.207.

Race 5: Started P10. Avoided a lot of carnage. One Corvette gifted me a podium after they had an almighty kerfuffle with another Corvette. I'll take it! Finished P3.

Race 6: Started P8. Got caught up in a Turn 3 melee on Lap 1, and collected a 2.0 second penalty. Recovery was rough. Finished P11.

Chaotic day. Some decent results, minus the carnage. MRs love standing starts. Racing was mostly clean and fair, provided it was 1v1 or 1v1v1. Toss in another car or three, and all hell would break loose. Have fun out there! 😤 😅

After an eventful night where I managed to turn up to my new job a day early (don't ask 🙈🤣) I was wide awake and did a few races in B + C, some good results and some bad ones. Turn 1 at RBR is just chaos. Anyway, just finished my last B and I was lumped in with all ratings from A+ to me at B/B. I think I did OK, it was proper door banging stuff but no malice anywhere, enjoyed it 👍

So then, you could possibly finish 15th and gain DR?
I gained DR finishing p13 of 15 yesterday while SR farming at the back of RBR. A+ and high A driver both quit out. My barely A DR got a very unexpected and unearned bonus.

I'm just pushing to get myself to do more dailies as I think I was a much better driver when I did more of them. So running more races now to get back into the game. Early race at Interlagos was just utterly wild. Was kind of cautious, if a bit messy, trying to survive this. (A and A+ lobby!)

Then unfortunately at the start of 1 race that then turned out great I had a turn 1 incident that looks lile stupid netcode and lag. And now got this driver all upset. Why you check the replay. Looks on my screen like my speed shows I hit him on his screen, but had room on mine. Not saying I didn't blow the corner a bit, but I saw nothing until the replay. I thought the guy behind us had gotten him.

QT down to a 1.33.2 , I was watching the replay of the #1 time...how do they do it 🙈🙈 I am struggling at that time 🤣 I am running-4 BB, I wonder do I need to go further

I'll likely do B a lot, but C, could they not have gone absolutely nuts and made it RWD only - because GR4 is pretty much only AWD cars every single time 😭

I'll still try C, but it's usually not a good track for me - not if it's Gr3 on hards anyway..
It does make you wonder why AWD only with the current Huracan meta, it would be like having FF only 18 months ago with the Mazda 3. I doubt it's possible but as a complete left field idea, have a compulsory change for a RWD/MR/FF car mid race for a set number of laps in a imitated team type race. Would completely change up the dynamic, although probably lead to carnage.

That being said the Lancer on RS's drives live a dream around Deep Forest.

Might try running fwd, after the start, you could try and understand cut everyone! Is there going to be be tuning?

I think the 155 is a good match against the huracan. Unless you are a A++ driver who can extract every last .01 seconds on every lap. But for normal people it’s definitely a good choice. Shooting past 5+ metahuracansheeplings at the start is a great feeling.

Kind of given up trying to get anywhere on my main account so I decided to pull out the Alfa 155 from hibernation 🤣. I have just had the most entertaining race with the person who eventually won ( I'm not sure is he on here??).
It was very close but very clean and quite possibly the most fun I have had on this game in a long time 👍👍 Gg Mystic 👌 The replay is in showcase. I think in better hands the Alfa is a genuine alternative to use. Its an absolute weapon off the line and it is excellent coming out of the final hairpin. Someone a bit more talented than me might try it and see 👍👍

Limiting choice to only the meta cars anyway might be the funniest thing PD have ever done. Absolutely having a jolly watching us constantly be blown away by their decisions.

Looking at the races this week it is time to put the big boy pants on. As some of you know I have been transitioning to a wheel after 20 years on d-pad and it's slowly coming together but I've been doing Race A's (Merc F1, Karts etc) which have been fun and consequence free. I've avoided the Group cars and tracks that attract carnage but this week it is time to see where i really am. I was quite strong at Interlagos on pad but longer races REALLY hurt my hands as you're always tapping left so it will be very interesting to see where my pace is and how it feels on a wheel.

Looking where the cars are at, maybe the Alfa will be a decent stable choice? I used one for the new (to me after 18 months away) swiss track experience and it felt really good, I understand it is more competitive power wise now too? I don't like really twitchy cars so any other suggestions will help. On pad I would get within about 2.5% of fastest time in the world so let's see where i end up.
