Lol soz

The grid start are great. Really happy PD put it there again this week. The fact that i never saw a grid start going well last week doesn't mean it's not nice. If the purist could pass beyond their ego and put some TCS just for the start that be great.

Spend the week racing from the back in full DR.B lobby and by Sunday I was DR.A. I don't know if it's the DR.A lobby or the sunday afternoon crowd but the racing standard was really low. Worst racing of the week.

Wrap up of my best result in DR.B

I think the 155 is a good match against the huracan. Unless you are a A++ driver who can extract every last .01 seconds on every lap. But for normal people it’s definitely a good choice. Shooting past 5+ metahuracansheeplings at the start is a great feeling.

Tried to go against the META in this week Race C but the Suby is not a great choice, eats tires and not fast enough. I'll give a try to the 155.

Quick question. Where should I shift with the Hurracan. Should I rev the thing to cut off?

Not sure what to think about this week's races. On the plus side, we get a new Civic and F1 car this week.

Race A: Garage RCR Civic - 1:56.950 Steer, you bastard car! STEER!!

Race B: NSX Gr.3 - 1:32.662 Every time I get the Senna S mostly right, I get some other corner horrifically wrong

Race C: Atenza Gr.4 - 1:32.972 Could be stronger at Turns 1 and 10, but it feels good under braking

MC_Yavel I noticed withthe karts i'd lose ground with a grid start and also if i held my brake and had my foot on the gas the car doesn't launch if i release the brake. So i would have to lightly hold the brake and then quickly gas it. Is that what you guys are doing or are you using the hand brake?

Had a pretty horrific race at interlagos earlier, all going well, racing around 3/4/5 until lap 4 when a little tap on the side to a GTR, which I slowed down for, then rams me off, thanks mate!

I’ve a feeling it’s going to be one of those weeks there.

Although @newmedia_dev you are right when you say this week maybe is a week when all 3 can be fun

Not sure if my wheel is playing up but with the lambo at interlagos, I’m getting some string juddering?! Even at 5 / 8 in game, so I’m trying the Porsche tomoz. 👍

That race A looks like a lot of fun 😁

It will be the same, it's the track is super bumpy EVERYWHERE it's one of the reasons I dislike driving it with feedback wheel

Here I go, I'm going to start running laps at Watkins Glen to see how good and low of a time I can get, and I'll keep the traction control at 0. I agree with you @brockie, Race A will be an attraction this week for many players. I don't really like Interlagos, the last section always gets me dizzy trying to get it right. But I'll still give it a try this time. I'm sure a good majority of people won't find Interlagos an enjoyable track. And don't get me started on the very first turn after you cross the finish line. If you don't pay attention, you can slam into the white barrier.

I use gaz 100% and brake 100% at the same time and release the brake on lights out. But I think the best way is to use handbrake and gaz. I always rev to cut off on the grid.

@Famine If you want to find out if the scoring is still the same from GT Sport, you can use GTSH-Rank to do it.
If you can get a top 100 Q time for any of the races, it will show your time along with you DR score.
Do some races, and see how the point total changes, just like we did with KudosPrime.

@Milouse can you also access the data, now?

Did some QT across all three only a few laps in each so loads of time to find.

Did one B on my alt (A/S) largely fine QT 6th get bundled at the first corner by an ambitious Italian on the first lap...finish 10th

Will wait till this one calms down in a a day or so, really short Gr3 sprints are chaotic to say the least especially at such a technical track.

Hi guys, after the first practice at Deep Forest, I managed an encouraging 1:32.385 with the low '32 on sight. It looks like a good point to start from for this round. Enjoy your racing week..
Good starting point!

DF will be very very very tricky to get a QT from, the times will be extremely close because the cars are easier to be consistent with.

It's definitely more race it than QT it, conversely QT the best you can at Interlagos!

I think I got a 1.31:4 on my alt but haven't raced DF yet.

OK after ZERO luck getting half decent video quality (I still don't know what has gone wrong as my video quality is worse than it was 18 months ago) I saved to USB and uploaded to YT in full res.

To my eyes this is better but I still see blur and jaggies compared to Tigney's videos but my internet is just 45MBps, any feedback appreciated.

🤷‍♂️ looks like a GT video uploaded to YT to me. The compression gods do their thing and sometimes they favour you others they don't.

The streamers split their recordings and mostly don't use gameplay replays but native recordings.

That is some of the issue is console output is limited and GT replays even worse (sic) other than uploading direct feed you are always fighting console compression and YT compression, GT/PD overly light the replays for presentation reasons.

You aren't going to get much better than that without some extra direct captured content at native resolutions.

Thanks, to me it looks better than when I export directly to YT but it's a pain doing it this way as I have to save to USB then load on PC then upload to YT. ...... but it does look better.

Hello.

Daily A: Tsukuba (Karts)
No comments, because I haven't made any race. Not my thing.

Daily B: Nurburgring Short (Gr4)
If it wasn't the Huracan superiority, it could be a nice event.

Daily C: Red Bull Ring (Gr3)
Kind of cool races.
It could be better if we had all the tire set at our disposal.
Again, I don't like to have to go to pits for... Nothing.
I like the standing starts, even for a change. Gr4 standing starts might be better, tho.
Nevertheless, I liked a lot.

This new coming week might be one of the best. I can be wrong, but I hope to be right, hehe.
Fingers crossed. PD being bold is a good hope. 👍
Keep it up, PD.

Cheers

Interesting. Never knew about that site...

I've not had any top 100 times, but it was still there. The list only goes as low as place 226 so I needed to put in North American region to make it. Still cool, though... actually higher than what I would've guessed. That +459 must be from the Nations race last Saturday.

I was pretty proud of my 1:32.4 but then I read this.... Back in the chair!

Agree however that this week will be extremely tight. To get in the 100's you need to be at zero mistakes around the entire course. I love it!

Going to really enjoy Race C this week.

Hoping I can get back up to DR B and get my SR back to S.

Had 2 attempts last night.

The first one was just terrible. I completely zoned out at the start and forgot about the grid start.

Then got caught up in some ******** from a few drivers.

Second attempt was much better.

Started 4th, fell back a bit the first lap and spun on the 2nd or 3rd to drop back to 10th.

Worked my way back up (with a bit of help from 3 drivers deciding to take each other out) to 2nd and had an amazing battle with another racer for the last 5 laps where even though I got a 0.5s penalty early on the last lap, I still managed to hold them off.

Don't worry about results, they will come to you.

Do the circuit experiences, appreciate that you need to drive better, cleaner and faster. You can't rock up and expect to to be the fastest even bashing through everyone or being bashed in to.

Focus on awareness and car control, then work up the pace

These two videos aren't guides but show how you have to be able to drive, control your lines and practice safe (read sportsmanship) with not contact.

And if you want to go through the pack this is how I did it after chucking away pole position.

Not worried about results. I’m old guy. Former racer - motorcycle and cars. I play because I like it. And I have a son who play as well. I know my lines, I know racing ethics. I just throw my opinion out there ……

OK Interlagos with a wheel, wow, that is so much more immersion! I feel like my ultimate pace will be there but consistency is an issue, ran a 32.8 in both the 911 and the lambo but the Porsche has more in it for me.

I am finally feeling the wheel do it's thing, it sort of goes light as you come off the brake and get RIGHT on the edge of grip, particularly though that turn 3 left. The last corner is much, much easier with a wheel than a dpad as thees less understeer.

Oddly enough where I am struggling is the slow corners, I can't quite judge where to brake, how much to coast and when to apply a touch of throttle, I just don't have that..that feel you need and that I had with a dpad but it will come.

I'll try and get into the low to mid 32s and then race tomorrow.
