I haven't tried them either, and probably won't - it'll be the first week in a long time that I haven't done one of the dailies....

Envious of your trip to Edinburgh though - I used to travel there at least once a month when I was still working (had members of my team based there!).

Flying from stanstead 🤣 more time going through security than actual flying! It's just a 2 day conference but I'm quite looking forward to it to be honest, could do with a little bit of a semi working break.

I tried the Veyron at TM and I'm not really sure it's gonna hold its meta/prime choice very long in to the week. I used to love it and it was a bit of a Glen stealth go to but at TM with the way the other cars handle now and the gearing they have it doesn't feel as competitive.

I think come the end of the week people will be in the Lambo or the NSX primarily as you can just drive them normally and they are fast in to or exiting the twisty bits. We will see, and to be fair after only 5 laps I got the big Bug 1/10th off my NSX time. Just a really understeery car that doesn't hide its bulk well.

I used to fly from Luton - better time Easyjet flights, and, as you will know, the M11 can prove problematic!

I love Suzuka, but don't get on with the formula cars, not a big fan of Trial Mountain, and don't get on with Laguna Seca!

If you getting GT7 withdrawl symptoms pop into here and book a test drive in a Gensis.

Set my baseline QTs. Felt slow everywhere, and had a fair bit of trouble with every car wanting to step out exiting every medium speed corner, where I'm normally decent.

Race A: SF23 Super Formula/Honda '23 - 1:39.594

Race B: NSX Gr4 - 2:02.267

Race C: NSX Gr.3 - 1:23.608

I'm not up for committing murders, so Race A is off the menu. I might just bounce around between Race B and C later in the week. Good luck out there!

I know they can only do so much when it comes to daily races but why tease us with grid starts then take them away. This weeks daily races C at Laguna Seca would be fantastic with a grid start.

On another note, why are some ppl from certain central and South American countries sooo aggressive… idk how many times I’ve had a spotless clean overtake on someone from one of these countries and they punt me off at the next corner just cuz I passed them. Not saying it’s only ppl from there but 90% of the time I have that experience it’s someone from that area of the world.

Laguna isn't a good grid start to be absolutely honest.

Regardless, of country just imagine T1 with a grid start....you see how that becomes "complicated"

I spent most of my racing time last week in the US and watched a lot of stuff unfold. I didn't see a lot of punting but I did see a lot of space squeezing.

I think generally the competitiveness of the racing means that moves are a bit "send it" or feel like that, and in some of the lower lobbies the awareness or pace might be a lot different so what feels like a good overtake may feel like a less experienced player a dive bomb etc.

Then the petulant retribution but that early in the morning for you guys, and that sort of behaviour I'd imagine your racing kids and well they hate to lose etc etc.

Quick few laps in 4 cars for Race B. I don't trust the back end of the NSX like I can the others so that's out. The Bugatti felt great but time is poor. The Nissan felt the best for sure, it tucked in better than the Lancer which had quite a bit of understeer. However, managed a 2.01.7 in the Nissan and 2.01.4 in the Lancer. I ran the Nissan first so maybe unfair comparison but will work with both cars to try and approach a 2.01 flat.

You are having an absolute laugh? The NSX is one of the most stable cars dude, literally abuse acceleration in it 🤷‍♂️

NSX optimum so far, this will definitely drop to the low 1.59:7s

Cab definitely take the time out of it, but in VR it's just not a fun drive. I much preferred it in bumper cam.

All 4 maybe 5 meta cars are fast enough in race and all sub 2.00 cars.

If I get enough time on Friday, ill try a few of the "fringe" cars that I think can hit a 2 or a sub 2

It's a very stable car but not compared to the other AWD mobiles. The Bugatti/Lancer/Nissan you can lay on the throttle from anywhere and they stick and go, the NSX will turn herself around if you get too stupid with it. I am slightly slower in the NSX exiting the last corner and out of the tunnel.

Group 4 is so busted though, would love to use the Jag or the 86 for example.

Mate honestly the NSX does not turn its self round, maybe your driving style. I'll try the Lambo before I fly tomorrow, but it's your driving style not the car, and it's really really really forgiving car, you'd have to be all over exit curbs to hard and a bit ragged to unsettle it.

I'm not saying it isn't me, I'm saying with the same style, pushing hard with just 5 laps in each car, the NSX turned around twice and the others never so much as flinched. It's whole way of making lap time is that it rotates better so this is not a surprise.

Ok I understand that, but I don't understand how you can judge the cars when you can't drive them?

The NSX and GTR are more than fast ebough, the veron is pretty meta in that annoying way that you can't pass it easily.

We will see how the week goes, but there is a lot less crashing and freebies this week at TM in my lobbies, a/s just the odd wall clip or t1 screw up. No spinning cars weirdly.

It looks like you're more comfy on 4WD cars, but (believe me) the NSX has a hugely planted rear end. It was by far the fastest through Glen's Bus stop esses last week, where the rear end really makes the difference. It's may due probably to driving style. You just need to avoid inducing mid corner understeer while braking too late (golden rule in general, but even more valid driving RWD cars). Understeer mid corner makes you "turn the wheel" or "close it" by instinct more than required on exit (when actually you should "open it" instead), till it goes "snap oversteer".
So don't "force it" on exit like you usually could do with 4WD, cause the torque act only on the rear axle, and you'll be fine.

Edit: I suggest to try the Lambo wich has a very similar weight distribution compared to the NSX and still some punch at TM, then jump on the Honda.

Yep, the lambo is a better drive for me than the Nissan. But it’s going to be tough going this week, QT super important to start well, I just started 4th at BS, managed to pass 3rd into the small tunnel, then hung onto 1st/2nd for the remainder 😉

Spent a couple minutes at lunch throwing the Lambo around TM and quite like it. Cayman was OK but feels slow for some reason. Tried the WRX, Bug' and Alfa (Brick Edition) but none of them were able to generate the turn-in I was hoping for. Really wish they'd throw a few more ponies at the Trophy as the thing is a joy to drive...and slow everywhere but corners.🤣

Curious to see what I can do with the Lambo this week. Currently sitting at a 2:00.120 so hoping for mid/high 59's by Friday.

Good luck out there!

Turning "I don't trust the rear end on the NSX as much as I do on the others" into "Don't know how to drive them" is quite a stretch.
Ok,...we can debate things. The upshot is that you described the car swapping ends (not in your quote)

I pointed out that the top 2 and my top 300 time didn't t suffer with the same problem you had? 🤷‍♂️

I don't think you are yet to pick cars mate that was all. You have good races, don't need any help but just be a bit careful projecting your ability as something useful.

"Projecting my ability as something useful"? I really don't get the rubber glove treatment on my post, I made a comment about my experience driving 4 cars on a quick lunch break blast, that's all, my experience. I never recommended other members drive one car over the other. We come here and post on our efforts, it's that simple.

I've stopped trying out cars, I have a few I have much more miles in and know how they handle, such as the 911 for GR3, and GT-R in GR4. They might not be the metas anywhere, but I know how to drive them.

Boring, yes, but also a nice feeling when you start to really know your car.

1.59.3 at TM, will try a few races tomorrow and see how it goes. Just a hairline of DR A, so I hope for the best.
