The GTR is amazing in the corners but gets eaten a bit on the straights. I suspect the Lexus is likely the fastest at Monza by a tiny bit, then the Genesis but I find the Genesis suits me better.

I just tried the Lexus for 10-12 laps, after watching the replay of the fastest player, and I'm still 1 sec slower than in the Genesis.
The revving and the gear changes are basically the same for best results. The only changes for me are BB at +4 in the Lexus and +2 or +3 in the Genesis. Genesis still wins by a second.

Sadly PD turned gr3 into Gt4 category. Specs resembles now more GT4 specs. Probably they wanted the game to be even more accessible and easier to casual players

Well I'm not a fan of Gr3's changes 😐
Can brake much later, mash the throttle and take more corner speed without having to worry much. Just feels like Gr4 AWD to me.

Firts try after BoP's updates, just few laps at Monza and I thougth an oil change was needed. Actually it was, but the car after the change wasn't really "willing" to rev up.

Someone on this forum wrote oil change didn't matter in daily races. To be sure I change it as soon as it turns light green...but I'm still not completely sure it affects performance.

Anybody can provide a final answer to that?

What the heck did I miss?!?!

Been away from game for a few days binging on AC Shadows (epic, btw) and I jump onto the rig just now and:

  • Times reset, which is the least of my concerns,
  • Everything feels in slow motion!
  • Cars are slow!
  • Handling seems to have been dumbed down so that my pet fish can hop in and play like it's nothing?!
I literally tried so hard to spin out by taking on curves super aggressively and too fast, braking hard mid-corner, planting the throttle way too early and the car just reacts like it is nothing?! A tiny wiggle and then just jog on like nothing happened, only slower than what I remember?!

What is going on?! I hate this friggin update! The GR3 Supra feels like my grandpa's Austin Allegro! For American's, this is what I am talking about...

Yeah Gr3 is pretty dull now. Tried a couple of Monza races - nobody crashed, nobody spun, nobody overtook. Dull dull dull.

Alegro is probably more exciting to be honest!

I have to say this is a very weird circuit to have on a week when they nerf everything.

Something technical where you wouldn’t have felt the contrast pre and post update would have been a better tactical move. The only thing worse to highlight it than Monza would have been an oval…

I imagine RBR would have been pretty naff too - brake even later, and seemingly more grip. Less of an edgy feeling to the handling (though I've not tried many cars) but it was nice to see a 650 win a race. I tried it but it feels very clumsy in my hands
 
I do wonder what gr4 will be like next week, because I’m not sure I want anymore gr3 racing.

Maybe race A is where’s it’s at, until that’s a bunch of rubbish running bin trucks around Nurburgring

Sorry to be negative, but I managed a new QT best time of 1.49.8xx in the genetals but I can’t race the darn thing, can’t stop it

On top of the crap update, this is starting to boil my pee,

2 weeks on the bounce we’ve had these weird track limit circuits where you go through and think “damn it, that’s a pen” and nothing, you go through following the same ghost and think “that was a nice line/exit” and BANG! Track limits.

Infuriating. Especially in VR where I feel I can place the car very accurately.
 
Had two final races for the week over lunch, managed a win Race 1 and this got me to DRA. I was a very high DRA on the pad but tbh was scamming the system a bit cherry picking my best tracks (Bathurst, RBR, Monza) and avoiding ones the D-pad hated (Fuji, Autopolis, Suzuka etc). So got my wheel over xmas and jump in head first and immediately crash to DR-C lol. Bit of a grind to get to A but there now and man, the pace is hot. Second race now a split mostly A+ and some A guys, I am P13. AGAIN I am ghosted into T1 as the guy behind me is rewarded for barreling in way too hot and drives through me. He is ALL OVER the road for 2 laps, n idea how he is so fast, car all over the place. Anyways I get up to P8 but then hit from behind and finish P11.

I will leave this race here if you're bored, did not FFWD through the boring laps as it was proper immersion stuff, for 9 minutes I felt like I was in a motor race. I could have defended P3 harder on lap 1 but dude made a good pass and I gave him space on the outside, he was lucky it was me I tell ya what or he'd have been on the beach. Took me ages to eek away at him, was a good race and a rewarding last lap driving at 10/10ths.

Circuit de la Sarthe has been a lot of fun this week. For me, it’s one of those tracks where I feel that I always have multiple corners that I can improve entry/ exit on. The frustrating tracks for me are the ones that I’m 3 seconds slow and I have no clue why or where I’m late.
It’s not like I’m winning this week but my DR is improving on every race.
 
So I don't hate the Gr.3 BoP reset AS much, but still more hate it than don't.

Turns out, car just rolled over 20k (20,072) so when I checked the oil, everything was 'normal' (oil/motor/body). Felt better after corrected, placebo or not, lol. Was able to get down to a 49.5xx at Monza, but it's not the party it used to be. The 911 can still get down, but it's more an 'adult contemporary and off to bed early' experience than the 'beat infused all night rave' it used to be...I miss the glo stix.

Anyway, the galling part has got to be timing/location. The Temple of Speed...pretty sure Kaz is in the corner laughing his ass off at the rage posts.🤣

Well I got a nice lap in the Ferrari round Monza - 1.48.958 - was 2 tenths up on the next lap but got an awkward bounce exiting the 2nd chicane.



Also managed a very tight win, after starting P3. Then started the next race in P14 🤣 Saw @GOTMAXPOWER there too.

You just put up with his garbage moves so he didn't think twice about just taking you out. 2nd time he blocked me he'd be accidentally pushed wide at curva granda & be rid of him.

Seriously mate, you need to hand out some slaps here and there that driving was disgraceful ☹️

@Mc_Yavel I think I just managed to nip your time, you are right, race A has been fairly good fun, until people who can’t catch you ram you off 🤣 but I agree there is good racing there and it’s a really good combo and hard to master, a week saver for me

I wondered if he was just making a crap attempt of trying to let me past before the line, as an apology for knocking me off the previous lap. I noticed he quit as soon as crossed the line and showed as finishing 16th

I really don't like Monza, but do like GR3 (though slightly less since the update) the 458 still accelerates well and is great through the corners and off the exits. There's 2-3 tenths that can be made or lost in the first chicane - just have to coast through the tight turns. And another 2 to 3 tenths in the 2nd chicane if you can nail the line. I don't understand the limits at all, sometimes a penalty, sometimes not, and sometimes half a second and sometimes a second:confused:

daily race A is fun because the cars are she but not that **** but also **** lol

This really really annoys me, especially in VR where you can really see where the corners of the car are.

As I said earlier sometimes you go through and Sigh “that’s a penalty” and it’s not other times it’s rage as you think it was a clean sent if corners.

It’s worse than RBR for consistency!!!

Yeah I wish they could loosen the limits up, even just a little, to improve the flow of a race. Sometimes you get the penalty as a result of avoiding lunatics - and often you lose time anyway for running wide or clattering over kerbs.
