I honestly do not know what to think. I'd love to hear about GT7 this year - even though if it is just a teaser pic. I love GT so much, and at the same time it'll be painful to wait if we actually hear something this year, it'll be less "thinking about it" if we don't get any info, videos or pictures. GT6 was a disappointment as many here states, but hello, it's Gran Turismo. Still a great game if you can overlook its flaws. We will eventually get "the perfect game", even if we have to wait until GT-X is released. Yes, I'm confident GT will live to pass 10 full releases. He said in the 15th anniversary interview it has been 15 great years of GT and we can expect 15 more years. GT is in my blood, until the day I die.

@Johnnypenso hit it on the nose. PCars and GT are more to help each other than anything. With that said, I won't buy PCars because of the issues regarding PS4 and it's wheel support, and PCars just doesn't have any cars that interest me. It'll be a great door breaker for what it is, but for me it isn't worth the hassle. If I buy GT7, I will likely also buy PCars, and I'm certain a lot more will do that.

If pCars had Nissans, it would be a whole lot more interesting.. Lack of Nissans makes me not want to buy it. I still am going to buy it though. I just don't know when.

Yet GT has lack of............................Porsche, Koeingsegg???? Barely support of American cars outside of Chevy, Dodge, and Ford??

@Shimazu

Except there is some track record for GT right now we might not know graphics wise, but thinking looking at past two games they've already got work cut out for them, and also knowing what's happening now GT has a loooonngggg way to go.

I would of course love to see some GT7 presence at E3 but I will stick to my GT mantra - Expect nothing and you will not be let down by the occasionally ridiculous hype you can get caught up in on GTP.

Since Sony now has the rights to all the cars included in #Driveclub then I think it's safe to assume that most Driveclub cars will be in GT7 including the Koeingsegg.
Let us hope you are right @Shirrako. It is far from a guarantee as those rights may have been negotiated on an individual game basis.

DRIVECLUB has some amazing cars which I would be delighted to see join the ranks of GT.

............?? I wasn't aware that Sony negotiated for & has the vehicle image rights - I was under the impression that it was Evolution. For one, car makers would receive more coin if they license out to individual devs rather than a corpation* that owns a multitude of devs. And two, if that's the case, then why hadn't GT get some of the cars in DriveClub as DLC already, seeing that license issue is sorted out already??

Edit: corporation, not corpation. It looks like that red squiggly line that appears below wrongly-spelled words no longer appear.....

Back to the main topic - at most, I expect a trailer of GT7 Prologue, with a claimed release date of Christmas season 2015. After all, we're working on the "odd" release schedule. Most likely, we'll see nothing, and we'll hate like it. :P

Porsche isn't really needed, we have RUF. If we could have more RUFs though, that'd be great. Koenigsegg, no Koenigsegg. I don't really care, even though the story behind the car is rather funny.
And yes, more american cars would be great. But I wasn't talking about GT when I made my comment. I was talking about pCars and the lack of Nissan in that game. One R32 and R35 would be enough, but none? Hm.

Evolution is owned by Sony, everything that belongs to Evolution belongs to Sony.

Look at it this way, Sony is the dad, Evolution is the son, dad tells son what to do and dad gives the toys to the son.

Whether manufacturers signed a single game contract or not is not going to be revealed to the public, in Sony's case I would say a single game licence wouldn't make sense.

I believe you are correct, Evolution Studios is a subsidiary of Sony, it isn't Sony, and as a subsidiary it can negotiate contracts on it's own behalf that don't give any benefit to Sony as a whole. I highly doubt any manufacturer would simply give a blanket license to Sony or anyone else to do with as they please, I'm quite certain it's on a game by game basis. Auto manufacturers are likely to license out game by game to ensure they maximize control over the contractual arrangement, as well as revenue.

As excited I am with the potential of GT on the PS4 platform I would prefer an announcement of a deadline for GT6's completion.

I expect that if we see anything, it will be a brief teaser. I actually wouldn't be surprised if it's nothing more than the GT7 logo with some of the new engine noises playing in the background for an all too brief moment.

Oh, and I expect a holiday 2016 release date for GT7.

Wrong. GT announcements have never been brief.

It'll be 2 years in May that GT6 was released, they've teased public with the covered GT logo and a date, week after there it was, 2hr long presentation along with cars and everything.

I hate to say that but don't count with any significant support for GT6 since GT7 is in hard works.

GT6 was released in December 2013:tup:

So...they did have a brief teaser then...They should the logo, and then a week later showed more. Those aren't the same announcement...

I don't see us getting much more than a teaser at E3 because I think the game will still be a year and a half away. GT6 wasn't even officially announced until E3 of the year it came out.

People still talking about Porsche when it comes to GT so clearly people care even though RUF is there.

Honestly I could go a game without Nissan at this point being overexposed by GT to most japanese cars that something fresh would be nice too.

Still there are other cars GT has been lacking in Cadillac to name one and just countries entirely like Norway or even Sweden if I'm not mistaken.

yop , volvo and saab are nice cars , there is a lack of german cars too , spanish ( seat ) etc ...

Since GT7 is scheduled for a 2015/2016 release, the best time to announce to game and show a trailer will be this year's E3 2015, they will have time to build the hype for the game if it releases in 2015 or 2016, either way I think we will see GT7 this year, most likely E3.

PD is already working hard on the game which is why GT6 updates are slowing down with every update.
How do you know that?
GT6 is fully unfinished with yet to be released Course Maker and B-Spec, and 18 (16 without the already revealed but not released in the game Alpine and Lexus) VGT program cars. It took PD more than a year to release 12 cars. Again, What makes you think they will accelerate the process, work on GT7 instead of implementing proper and properly updates in GT6 for the next 2 years at least. Only because you will call it GT7 instead of GT6 wont make it more successful than completing GT6. GT6 updating was always done at a slow pace. There is also a promised FIA Championship to be launched this spring on GT6.. that's why they are that slow, not because they are A.D.D. and working "hard" on GT7. I'm afraid ( and I'm hearing) releasing GT7 before finishing GT6 will start a second class lawsuit for false advertising, like Apple got for their memory size false advertisements as well. I know, GT players are dreaming, but business is business and this is real not virtual world.

As we look ahead to 2015, the year promises to be one of the biggest yet for Gran Turismo: there’s much more to come for GT6, the FIA Online Championship is set to launch in the Spring, GT Academy will be larger than ever as it expands into South America, and fans will be eager to watch as GT begins its transition to the new PlayStation 4 console…(from GtPlanet's Year Review,by Jordan)

Other notable award winners at the event included Nissan/Infiniti designer Shiro Nakamura, and FIA President Jean Todt. Todt, of course, was last seen with Kazunori at the ADAC headquarters in Munich, where the two unveiled the FIA Online Championship which will be hosted within Gran Turismo sometime later this year.(posted by Jordan, few weeks later)

nobody will ever know for sure when something comes out, that there is, at times, is simple speculation.👍

He knows. He's somehow connected with GT music team.
