Well the '06 and '09 C6 Corvette RM's would be obvious knock-offs of the Chevrolet Corvette C6.R.
Indeed. The RM's must be replaced by original C6R's.

(C6R GT1 2006 and C6 ZR1 GT1 2009).

Also the '69 Z28 Camaro RM seems to be inspired by this '69 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Traco Race Car:

I'm not sure about the others though. I'd have to do more research to see any more resemblances.

OK. And then please let me know if you have found them.

In my opinion the Camaro RM looks like a much more dedicated race car than that. Note the de-chroming, badge deletes, full custom front bumper with splitter, widened fenders, considerably beefier tires on all corners etc. etc.

Or even these cars!

Well the first generation Camaro did compete in the SCCA Trans-AM racing series for a period of time, so the Z28 RM could also draw inspiration from those.

That's why the Z28 RM should be swapped to a real Z28 SCCA Trans-Am.

Why would you want to spend money on licensing a real car when you already have the same basic car in the game? I'd rather that money be spent on licensing some other real car for inclusion in the game.

Ah! So we already have the C6R, right?
I look at the RM's as a compromise between getting a real, official, licensed car and a close, but made up car. Obviously we need some licensed cars for the major series like GT500, GT3, Aussie V8 Supercars etc, but if you aren't building a series library, why bother paying to license a duplicate of the 69' Camaro Race Car from TransAm? Keep the money and effort for the big stuff that people will focus on, and the small one-off stuff just fake it.

Good car list is one that covers majority of automotive events from all around the world (Nascar, Super GT, WRC, etc.) while keeping cars participating in it to minimum level possible. Simultaneously, you have to pay attention to avoid free riders like the current Falcon XR8 which doesn't have formal rival to dice with.

I found continuous development of certain cars to be disturbing for video games as what you include today we'll be replaced by something new in next few months and bring use of the current model questionable. You just can't scrap it as the licence has already been paid and it may be an important car for the game but you can't keep it either because that is what eventually accumulates several editions of the same car.

In other words, Polyphony Digital should carefully estimate what cars should be replaced and what not.

Despite my GTP username and PSN username says that I'm a fan of Ferrari, I would like some more everyday cars. Forza 4 almost hit that mark spot-on. There's the perfect mixture of everyday cars, supercars, and race cars.

Eeeeh, i don't think Baojun and Saturn will appear in Gran Turismo.

I know that some cars are highly improbable, that's why it's just a wishlist. Baojun is one of these, but why not Saturn?

Since Saturn is a small car manufacturer and not big and is only sold in U.S and was founded as response to Dominating Japanese automakers i'm sure Kaz doesn't even know the existance of this car manufacturer, many small non-japanese automakers is not in GT like Koenigsegg and some others.

The only game I remember that had Saturn was the original Test Drive Unlimited

What you guys think about the rest of the cars, excluding Saturn, Baojun and Veyron Race Car?

Brilliant and most would likely be in GT at some point. Any wishlist wont be reasonable as GT only usually gets 10-50 new cars, with the exception of GT2 GT4 and GT5

When I'm at a PC i'll add a contributor colonm so we know who added what car. I know you added the Daihatsu's, and maybe the Daytona?
What Daytona? Do you mean the Cobra Daytona? Or Charger Daytona?

I have deleted the following cars and replaced with:
The Celica Rally car isn't a WRC car, but a Gr. A car.
Vauxhall Astra DTM: Vauxhall Astra BTCC 2002
Vauxhall Calibra DTM: Vauxhall Cavalier BTCC 1995
Vauxhall VX220 Turbo: Vauxhall VXR220 2005
Vauxhall Vectra 3.2 V6 '03: Vauxhall Nova GTE 1989

Why an 03 Vectra V6 for an 89 Nova? Surely a 2006 Vectra VXR would be a better replace. I meant the Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona. Did you add it or did I?

Who added the Ferrari 365 GTB Daytona was you.

By the way, Vauxhall Nova is a rebaged version of Opel Corsa A. Vauxhall Nova has GTE while the Opel Corsa A does not.

Wasn't sure if I added the Ferrari or not. But a Vectra VXR would be a good replace of the Vectra V6. I know the Nova is a rebadged Corsa A.
