Currently working on my 2 main touge cars. Toyota Corolla Levin tuned 90's style ( currently with TE37s on ) and the battle scarred Integra DC2.
Looking at the GR Yaris and Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 next.
Waiting for a Sprinter Trueno and GC8 Impreza to show up on the used car market.

So today a customer brought us his S15 Silvia complaining about it's snap oversteer attitude. He usualy drives around Trial Mountain and Deep Forest roads as i do so thats where we went for a spin and tuned the suspension as best as we could.
It now behaves better during acceleration and corner entry.

On a side note, i asked him why he took off the Spec-R wing. On his own words "because it looks cooler!". Can't argue with that :D

Thinking of doing a classic Mini Project, extreme weight reduction, close ratio transmission, etc. Don't know yet if I want to fully built the engine or not.

Yep. That's the fun of these "builds". Every performance part doesn't have to be ticked. More thought can go into what the project is.

Should be getting GT7 next week and that's exactly what I'll be looking forward to.

Back when I was a kid playing GT4 I was big into maxing every car I could, racing super softs etc., but since then I've been far more interested in doing things in a more interesting way.

I'd say they usually fall into these three categories:

OEM+ 'R' builds: minimal power increase but maximum rev limiter increase, slightly stiffer suspension, slightly lower ride height, slightly more aggressive toe angles, etc. (My favourite of these was a F430 I tuned in GT6)

Powerful cruiser/sleeper builds: saloons or GTs, minimum adjustment to the suspension etc. except maybe slight lowering or even softening the suspension further than stock, no transmission changes etc., but more powerful induction for effortless torque

Aggressive track-day builds: Low or mid-range turbo, short ratio gearbox, super intense/aggressive characteristics, almost always set up specifically for Tsukuba, so max rotation and acceleration

Yeah i'm the same way. In GT4 i started maxing out every car but then me and my friend end up light tuning our cars and battled each other ( remember 2 player screens? lol ), and now i do the same thing. Light or medium tune and adjust suspension and gearbox. Gives me more pleasure that way and feels more... real.

Anyway, today i went to Autopolis so i could test new project car. Im a sucker for italian cars so nturly i bought 2 Autobianchi 112 Abarth.
Slapped a sports suspension and exhaust, sports brake pads and discs and off we go for a spin.

Now i still have an Abarth 595 and just bought an S2000 AP1. The shop has been busy these past days!

Shame it's hard to get the special parts though. Weight reduction 5 could be really helpful.

Slapped a low power turbo on mine with some stolen turbo badges from a Porsche

I will warn of one car, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta '12.
If you get this car, literally don't buy anything for it, lol.
Well, don't buy anything you can't remove.
This car works the best at as low a PP as you can make it. The car is overpowered stock, and can barely handle itself without adding more to it.
I don't know if its possible as stock PP is 634, but if you can add bare minimum (just adjustment parts) and get it to 600, this would be killer. Worth trying.

For 700pp it's ridiculous.
And if you dare race with active fuel consumption, this car has the absolute worst fuel rate in any car I've tried yet. You can visually SEE it go down, lol.

Anyway, figured I'd warn people to try everything as low a PP as possible if you tune this car before bothering higher.
I will revisit this car at a later date, fresh engine or new one, and try again.
Good luck 👍

So today i did some weight reduction on the Levin and chassi reinforcement. Its a full NA build with 202bhp built for touge or the casual trackday.
I'm currently looking to get nother one so i maybe do a supercharged project, maybe some N2 style overfenders.

There's a new member to the Neko Racing Works family, a AP1 S2000. No pics yet though.

Yeah, I was fortunate to snap up six additional Levins during the Menu collection. Gotta grab the most I can, next time they're for sale. Couple builds coming.

Yeah, the Levin i got was a race gift so couldn't get more :ouch:

She's all coming together currently at 85 hp. I haven't touch the Extreme tab, considering installing a supercharger but I'm afraid of upsetting the balance.

Heres some more quick advice to anyone who can find and purchase this. (It's not sold in Brand Central)
Corvette (C2) '63

Do NOT buy any weight reductions for it.

Because it is the muscle car that we all know it is, I have found that if you make it light it simply cannot handle the amount of power and torque it pushes. It's stability is in it's weight to power ratio.

I came across this thread and saw some cars I really liked the look of so thought I'd try something similar. Since PD seem to have dedicated a great deal of their efforts to making the playerbase unhappy, I'm taking a bit of a break from Legend cars, grinding, and most of this game in general, instead concentrating on modifying the cars I do have. I thought I'd start with one I've never given much consideration; The Lancer Evolution IV. I started with it stock, taking it to Tsukuba. It felt a bit sloppy to drive, with some oversteer under braking and an inside wheel spinning under acceleration. The brakes also felt pretty weak overall. My best time was 1:09.6

My first spend was on a complete handling package. I started with adjustable suspension and slotted brakes. I then fitted widebody flares to fit wider sports tyres on some new BBS wheels. The car had a much nicer stance afterwards...

evo3.jpg

With all the work done, the brakes felt much sharper, and the extra grip dialled down the oversteer on corner entry. The lower ride height also kept the car much flatter while cornering.

After a much nicer session I managed a 1:05.4. I've been enjoying modifying this car so far, looking forward to doing more, and moving on to other cars. I think for the time being I need to slow down with the progression and collecting side of the game since the economy is too frustrating. There's definitely more fun to be had here instead.

The Evo is coming together nicely now. It's starting to look like a time attack car!

I next went down the route of weight reduction and aero, using plenty of carbon fibre in the process. I also fitted a roll cage which I painted bright red. Lastly I fitted a cat-back exhaust with a cone filter to get a little closer to 300BHP. I also put some stickers on, and I liked @05XR8's Ford Focus so much, I might have slightly ripped off the window numbers on his Ford Focus...

Going back to Tsukuba, the car felt much more planted, especially in the final corner. I managed a 1:03.9 after a short session.
