It has affected me in the exact same way. I tried to cut it down to an hour in the evenings which is difficult because I enjoy the VR experience immensely, but still had the same effect.VR has created severe sleeping issues for me. I can't play it and go to sleep succesfully even after 2 hours break. I will try to space at least 4-5 hours between and see if it's still affecting me. I know I am super sensitive to it, but others could also have the issue and not knowing it!
I guess you could play from morning and until 17:00 it should give you enough time for the brain to relax! It has affected me in the exact same way. I tried to cut it down to an hour in the evenings which is difficult because I enjoy the VR experience immensely, but still had the same effect.
No crashes yet. Consider deleting an reinstalling the game should the problem persist.Oh yes, these VR subscription lenses are really good. Way better as to wear the regular glasses under the headset.
Has somebody also made the experience with crashes after the latest update?
Yeah I really hope they will do and update to the PSVR functionallity soon. The Olympics time trial is pretty hard in VR. The wheel well's are so big when we sit so low its imposible to see the apex on the corner'sI can't see **** in the Lemann's car for the Olympic TT while in VR, If I adjust my view I cant see the gears or lap times, they really need to add adjustable HUD's to VR
You can see the gears and the lap times on the car's steering wheel. I've disabled the HUD and have no problems reading the info there or seeing the track after adjusting the position. If you have Car Info enabled you can see the lap/sector times also on the MFD.I can't see **** in the Lemann's car for the Olympic TT while in VR, If I adjust my view I cant see the gears or lap times, they really need to add adjustable HUD's to VR
It's annoying to have to do it every time yes but it only takes like 1 second. I don't see why it would be any harder with this car. Just sit a little lower when the race starts and it's done. The cockpit is a little cramped but I can see the track just fine after that.I know we can trick it and adjust the position by crawling around in the rig before the race stars, but this solution is very hard to do on cars where the default setting is that low, and its also very anoying to do it each time.
I did and also realised that lighting is important but had to watch out for reflections off my wooden floor so I placed a small rug where the window reflection was and now it's all good! Thanks!!Have you tried turning on “Tracking Support” before plastering your walls with tracking markers?
Settings > Accessories > PlayStation VR2 > Tracking Support
It may help case your TV is always in view.
I'd agree. I don't know what it is exactly, but driving in VR with other cars suddenly seems clearer, sharper and more, uh, real somehow, compared to pre-update. I'm still fairly new to the whole VR thing, so I thought it may just be my imagination. So do you guys think the April update brought (small) improvements to the VR experience?
I do.
Did it yesterday. No issues occurred since thenNo crashes yet. Consider deleting an reinstalling the game should the problem persist.
My thoughts exactly. I spent a fortune getting back into sim-racing and was hesitant in doing so, but I now feel happy that I've done the right thing. I've been using the PSVR2 with a DualSense while waiting for the rest of my rig to arrive, and have been very impressed (once I got my VR legs).Even if there won’t be any other VR games, the PSVR2 with GT7 alone was worth the price.
Something I noticed while in a lobby last night was that I was dropped into VR before the start of the race sooner. It used to wait until the green flag waved. This is a welcome change as it's not so sudden. Now if they could just do the same when exiting the pits. Sometimes I glance at my mirrors to see if I clear and it drops me in with my view cockeyed. Baby steps I quess. So do you guys think the April update brought (small) improvements to the VR experience?
I do.
Stick with it. I suffered badly with this effect for the first week of use - now I'm totally at home in the VR world 😎Dramatic elevation drops with abrupt bottoms are still jarring for me and i find myself bracing for the stomach drop feeling instead of focusing on my driving through the corners when they come up. They used to make me nauseous so i suppose i am improving. I instantly forget about them until next lap and im like - aaahh this corner!
The coolest part is, it's not like the sensation, and fun wears of after a while.I bought PSVR2 about a week ago and I’ve been collecting my thoughts about it. Here they are.
Pros:
1. Unbelievable immersion. I’ve always played with the idea of getting into real racing in some form, now I’m basically over it. I still like to take my RX-8 to the local mountain pass, don’t get me wrong, but I’m done spending thoudands of € on borrowing race cars during track days.
2. Game’s physics feel more realistic for some reason. I’m not faster (yet?), but I feel like I can predict the car a little bit better. Still a far cry from ACC and iRacing but meh. I’ll take GT7 in VR over ACC or iRacing on a TV.
Cons:
1. I’m completely addicted to it. I’d be spending hours tracking one track in one car, no matter the time of day (IRL) or just enjoying hours and hours of online racing.
2. I often find myself going to sleep at 3 am.
3. You won’t be able to go back to the TV driving. You can do it, but it doesn’t feel right anymore.
4. I’ve experienced a very strange phenomenon a few times where I felt like I’m a VR even tho I was not.
To sum up, for me, GT7 in PSVR2 is the biggest breaktrough since the original Gran Turismo.
Ditto to everything you said - I just can't get enough of GT7 either! I too was thinking of getting a flight sim title for PSVR2 ...Aces of Thunder to be exact, when it comes out. But I'm concerned about the VR motion sickness. As an ex-real racer it took me a good week to stop feeling nauseous with GT7. I also used to fly sequential aerobatics back in my reckless yoof, so I reckon that put me in a VR cockpit without all the sensations that I'm used to, and my brand new sim-rig will end up orange and green instead of black 🤢🤮🤢Still waiting for some flight sim type games.
Totally agree to most all of your points, especially on the immersion, although I haven't had a 3 AM night yet. (Definitely would have in my younger days!)I bought PSVR2 about a week ago and I’ve been collecting my thoughts about it. Here they are.

I’ve just spent a few hours racing in VR and just out of curiosity, I had a race using the monitor, but as sharp and bright as it was, it was just a game. No excitement; no adrenaline; just a game. How can GT7 in VR be so real? This is the way 😎You made me think of something interesting though. Since GT7 I've been so addicted to it, I haven't gone back and compared to ACC and iRacing. I should definitely do that this weekend, especially in light of the recent physics update to GT7 which was a big improvement. I have a Quest 2 for those, but the resolution is better on GT7 compared to my PC setup (I don't have a 3K series video card).

I really hope I get time to do that race this week but that blacking out thing can get really bad for me. I wonder if anyone has figured out a trick to not do that or to make the play area bigger.Race B is intense! The only thing I don't like is that if you move your head out the cockpit, just a bit, you get vectored out. I normally lean into corners but the SF23 has a tight cockpit and is ridiculously fussy about it!
You can also try resetting, but sit slightly higher up and when it resets, you'll be lower in the "seat".I really hope I get time to do that race this week but that blacking out thing can get really bad for me. Someone here once mentioned leaning forward a bit when setting the play area but if it works, it doesn't work well enough.
