Why not pre-order it now?
Because Sony originally tried to get me to pre-order back in November....
and there is no 'offer for pre-ordering', most pre-ordered games come with incentives whereas PSVR2 was just pre-order and give us money and we'll send you the headset if we have stock in February..... or at least that was the emails I was getting from them....

Understood. I have two young kids that want VR to play with, so that was my incentive. I just assume pre-order to line up getting one at launch. Who knows what will happen a month from now.

I had already given up hope (for whatever reason) - but this is great news! VR2 is pre ordered.

I've never tried VR before so the first time will be rough for me as I fully expect motion sickness to hit me hard
My 1st time using the psvr I was fine, now n again could feel my stomach get queezy but stopped playing straight away , have a break, never been sick. But we are all different so who knows lol, all the the best anyway hope it's fun for you. Great news about psvr2 , now too sell my ps4 pro , my psvr1 and my Quest2.

Well lets face it, when VR2 was originally announced very few would of believed we would have:
1) GT7 as supported title
2) It being day 1 and free upgrade
3) Offering the single-player game options or full race/track online options

One thing I do wonder if they have implemented is if the players (animated drivers head) will move in accordance to the VR player?

To be honest, when I first started playing psvr1, I didn't get motion sickness...the only thing I ever got was if I dropped from a HUGE height, I would get that guy wrenching feeling as your falling 😂😂

The oculus rift S on the other hand ..I did get motion sickness....the way I battled that was the same as you...I'd play for so long, then I'd have a break. (Usually a fag break 😂)...I did this for a couple of weeks, gradually being able to play longer and longer and longer ...the only thing that stopped me playing non stop, was I couldn't enter my EXACT ipd.... therefore after a few hours it would strain my eyes ...

This is negated on psvr2 though...it's all done by eye tracking, and accurately for that matter....it's going to be a wicked headset to use....and hopefully z the higher resolution should help mitigate some of that nausea

I believed it....I actually argued the toss for it on this very website lol...aswell as Factbook and twitter.... people called me an idiot...a mug...that I didn't know what I was talking about, etc etc etc.....now I'm just laughing like "TOLD YA!" lol....

As for the driver moving, I'm not sure....I know I'm GT sport, I noticed if I slouched my body, the body in the car would slouch, and then when I sat up straight, it would also sit straight....so it is possible....it would be cool to come up beside another VR user, then do a brian O'Conner 😂😂😂😂....just look to the side, right into his eyes, drop down a gear, then floor it while matching his speed, all the while staring at him until you get to a corner 😂😂😂😂 (obviously in the film it was traffic lights lol, f&f2)

Probably, the driver head already moves appropriately when you press D-Pad to look around so I imagine they would integrate this with the headset telemetry.

now i need a wheel plus the PSVR2.

what wheel you guys on? I'm thinking T300 but it's a bit more expensive than the old G29 and G923...

DD wheels and TGTs, cost around 10k here in brazil lol
I'm using the g29 myself....it's got decently powerful force feedback, with it being gear driven...and also because it's gear driven, it means it won't slip like a belt drive....I can't go wrong, I love my g29...she's a beast!....I havnt tried the g923 yet, so I don't know if the TRUforce is worth the money or not...

Racing games are the best place to start because you are stationary and just looking around the car like in real life.
Doesn't help. Driveclub VR was notorious for causing motion sickness, and out of the VR games I've tried it's the only one to give me full, need to lie down in the dark motion sickness.

What was your problem with the first one?

I know $150 is nothing to scoff at. But if you already have a PS5, you are getting a serious downgrade with the Quest 2. The spec difference and most importantly, the software support are well worth the $150. Seeing as the PSVR2 pre-orders are still up, I expect you can find a barely used headset on Ebay or something for about $50-100 off rather quickly.
Got motion sickness after 5 min with drive club...
