GT7 Tuning Calculator - Download v3.3 all new cars added!!

I was debating weather to get this or not as i wasn't sure about the subscription
couldn't find any info on the site if it was monthly or yearly,
then I see your previous post about it's not a subscription anymore and we just buy the calc
so i gave it a go
very first attempt and i'm 24 seconds faster on a nordschleife tune iv be messing with

That’s some improvement right there!

What car are you using? Care to tell us your story from first thoughts of purchasing through to finishing the lap? I love a good story. 😃

Just wanted to pop in and post now that I've purchased your Pro Tune tool.

First issue I noticed, is when using my phone I run into a problem entering the stability values. Using the Samsung keyboard on an S22 Ultra, the numeric keyboard does not have a way to submit negative numbers. I have to switch to voice keyboard in order do enter the correct values, as it seems your specifying which keyboard should be used in the web app code.

Thanks again! Will let you know how it goes as far as tuning.

I’ll get his looked into. Not the first time I’ve heard of this to be honest

Without having read too much I raised an eyebrow and this could definitely sound useful, but why subscription?
Everything these days are subscription based and I hate it. I’d probably have backed more projects/gotten more apps if it offered a one-time payment. So many things I’d like to try but I’m not touching it because of the subscription side of things.

No need to reply, this was more a rhetorical question and a minirant more than something I actually want to know the answer to. I don’t mean to sound like I dislike your project either, keep up the good work. I’ll see myself out.

Good point,

That is why it no longer subscription

The website is revised and description now says Buy not Subscribe.
Hey I have a question regarding the "top gear ratio" in the tire size calculator.. Is it always the value of the penultimate gear, as shown in your YouTube tutorial video?

Yes that’s right. You can theoretically use any gear except the last gear. But more accurate results are obtained with a higher gear.

Hello everyone and a very happy new year 2025

I have a very simple question: why can't I choose the circuit?
I think this parameter is important for optimal settings.

Hi Castiel,

You are correct in saying that it is important that the setup is tuned to a particular circuit.

However this isn’t something I have integrated into the variables currently. Maybe in future updates this may become a feature but for now you will need to understand what difference each circuit needs for a setup and customise the setup with the options available such as stiffness, ride height, oversteer/understeer.

I have developed a tuning calculator for gt7, spring rate, dampers, gear ratios, dyno plotting and LSD setup are all automatically calculated. If you would like to download a copy please see bottom of this post Or in my signature.
Any questions are welcome. Please note all updates to this calculator are part of your initial purchase. Remember to sign up with your email to receive the latest updates when they are released. If we get enough supporters this will eventually migrate to an iOS and android app.

And for anyone interested in the equations: it takes into account suspension travel, force applied under load, lever ratio and without giving away too much the following formula is applied; K = Spring Rate in N/m.
1/2piSqrt(K/M)
It works on a table of every car in GT7 so that when a car is selected, the drivetrain type automatically is picked up for the un sprung weight calculation.

Give the free trial a go on the website, it’s obviously only part of the full downloadable premium version but it gives you a feel for it.

Just checked this out. First off, thanks to you and your team for developing this. I have no clue what I am doing so I truly appreciate the 7 day trial. Perfect for using as a point of reference which in turn will have me learning. Primarily I want to improve my times in Laguna Seca. I feel I have the track down, but I'm also driving like Miss Daisy 😂. Here's to a good trial week.

Let us know how you get on my friend.

So I'm generally having good luck with this. I tuned a RA272 at 560pp for the 1 hour race at deep forest and it performed incredibly well.

But I am trying to tune a super formula Honda '23 now and the values are all over the place. The natural frequency rates are completely out of range and one of them is impossible to even get in range with any ride height. I see some posts from over a year ago about this, but it seems it's still not fixed?

Hey there,
The super formula cars are an anomaly that can’t be “fixed” they just need different settings, follow the instructions you saw in this thread previously. That should work well still.

I’m interested in giving the calculator a go. Just wanted to double check it’s still up and running and up to date? Thanks

Hi, I’m new to the tuning app and having a couple of issues. The suspension setup setup seems to be working ok, but the gearbox tuning is throwing up some strange figures (the graph at the bottom of the page on the gt pro tune app has gone crazy!). I think it may be something to do with the dyno screenshot… I’m getting the screenshot by capturing in the game and then sending to a message which I can then download from via the app on my iPhone. I’m using PS4 so not able to directly share to the PS app the usual way. Anyone know if this method of getting the screenshot would cause any issues?

I’m having similar issue really. Suspension set up is great and cars seem to handle really well. But when I get the gear ratios most of the time the suggested ratio doesn’t fit the range in each gear. I am using ps5 and am sharing screenshots via the ps app then uploading them from my camera roll to the GTprotune app. I think its probably just me not filling out the page correctly but could do with some advice

I’m getting negative values for some of the ratios so something is definitely not right somewhere. In my case I don’t think I’m filling anything out incorrectly as I’ve double and triple checked everything.

I assumed it was most likely my inputs as I’ve only been using the app a couple of days so still getting used to how it all works. But yeah the gear settings I keep getting suggested are all over the place 🤪

Guys, can you send me more info with screenshots so I can help with this.

I was having a play around last night and all seemed ok. I realised that Sometimes I have to start with the bottom gear and sometimes the top. On question though. Top speed option is that the actual top speed I can get out of the car or just where I have it set in the gear settings? Also min corner speed and min gear are those values up to me or is there a specific value they need? Thanks

Top speed is the required top speed you want the car to reach in the longest straight, over allow a bit for drafting/hot lap.

Min corner speed is the slowest speed corner of the track/car you’re tuning for. I would suggest 40-60 mph.

Min gear is your preference I like to use all gears including 1st, so I select 1st, that will give the best acceleration in 1st gear from the min corner speed. If the car has too many gears for the track then you can change to 2nd or 3rd for min gear.

Have fun testing!
