Adding F1 cars is about the only thing I grumble about with Gran Turismo, so the MP4/4 is just a waste of licensing money to me, but the rest of the update looks alright. I'd rather there was more, but it's better than nothing.

I thought it was mixed surface for Catalunya, but it actually just looks like muddy tarmac...

It's absolutly joke. We get "free content" with content, holding back to make free updates possible.

Polyphony absolutly have lost the touch to the ground. They are flying in another atmosphere.
It could be worse - it could be EA, which charges 1st-party AAA prices for yearly updates of its sports franchises, and manages to make each iteration worse than the previous one.

Forza Motorsport can't come soon enough. It really needs the big competitor. In 2017 we shouldntÄt forget, there was launched Forz 7 and PC2. So a huge concurrence situation.

I wonder if this is a new schedule for tracks. One month nothing, then a layout, then a track. Schedule changed for cars (from how it was in GTS), so I guess it shouldn't really be a surprise how schedule for tracks also changed.

yes, tarmac with a thin layer of gravel

but hey, I'm all in favor of them adding more RX circuits, even just as varients of normal tracks - Spa, Nurburgring, Silverstone, etc.

As ever, people moaning before the full update notes are released.

Finally Catalunya has the layouts arriving to make far more enjoyable to drive on.

I will likely never touch the chicane layout ever again for custom races. Also, is the RX layout the first dirt/mixed track added since Sport was launched?

Though I can't imagine they were very hard to implement, I'm kinda okay with these new layouts. I have complaints about the state of the game and all that but it's the same stuff every month.

Yes it is.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya GP Layout No Chicane
Total Length: 4,730m, Elevation Change: 30m, Number of corners: 14, Longest Straight: 1,047m

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya National Layout
Total Length: 2,977m, Elevation Change: 28m, Number of corners: 11, Longest Straight: 862m

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross Layout
Total Length: 1,133m, Elevation Change: 11m, Number of corners: 11, Longest Straight: 148m

At last! The Catalunya old layout tarmac was already there, all they needed was to move the barrier placement. Dont know why it took so much time to do it.
Edit: Cool, so they added the Nacional and Rallycross layouts aswell. Very nice.
I've driven in the Nacional layout IRL, thats the one you use when you pay for driving sports cars there.

For anyone wondering, after the pitlane exit there's a shorcut that splits the circuit in two parts, one of them is the Nacional

I'm happy that PD is bringing new layouts to existing circuits in the game.

But, in my opinion, all these layouts should already be available from the entrance of the main circuit.

This generates a false sense of updating content, as a diversionary tactic.

Anyway, I hope to see Trial Mountain with a Rally Cross circuit, like El Capitan had in Gran Turismo 4.

EA is so bad. Like I was shocked Currency you paid real dollars for is locked to just that one game, and on top of that all the cards you collected etc get blown away the next year. Worst sports franchise games on the market by far in terms of just sheer greed and low innovation year to year.

Finally I won't have to go through the Catalunya Chicane again. Seems like a really solid update, can't wait to get my hands on the MP4/4

Also I'd guess that now a pattern is showing with the updates?

April: 3 cars + New Layout
May: 3 Cars + Menus
June: 3 Cars + New Track
July: 3 Cars + Menus
August: 3 Cars + New Layout(s)

So maybe the next (standalone) track would come in the October update?

Possibly. Could be worse, could be better.

Fairly dissapointed. I love Catalunya track, but I would enjoy a lot more a new circuit rather than 3 layouts that I personally found boring. Also neither of the cars is very atractive in my opinion, due to the prize or its characteristics...

I'm done. That is all i have to say.

You were done for all of 7 minutes, and it quite clearly was not all you had to say.

That's not the rallycross section. It starts at about the hairpin in sector 3 and travels around that end of the track.
