Good selection on cars (MP4/4 🤤🤤🤤) and new layouts are good (even though I new track would have been better).

I guess the GTO will be the star of the show for me. Already have a couple different GTO stripe package decals loaded up, and going to try another brand's stripes as well.

The article says "since Gran Turismo 6" when mentioning the rallycross layout, I don't recall GT6 having a rallycross layout?

Neat to see that the Barcelona RX Layout is being added. As far as I'm aware, that circuit has only been seen in PCars 2 and DiRT Rally 2.0, right?

As for the cars, the MP4/4 is always neat, and The Judge is lovely. Classic GTOs seem to not get ffeatured as much in games nowadays. The only one that's a bit disappointing is the Cayman GT4, particularly with it being the previous generation version, and the fact that the current 718 GT4 RS was revealed not that long ago.

Not... quite. The article says "one of which brings in a circuit type not seen in the GT series since Gran Turismo 6", and the next sentence starts "That’s a mixed-surface" (etc etc).

Which is, as mentioned above, Eiger K. There's actually been surprisingly few mixed-surface courses across GT history - only Tahiti Circuit/Maze (GT2/3), Smokey Mountain (GT2/3), and Cathedral Rocks Trail I (GT4/PSP) spring to mind.

The only other course I can think of (though explicitly not a circuit) was Pike Peak in GT2.

Chamonix had tarmac and snow in GT4 iirc.

new events aren’t detailed until the update notes, so it’s not a valid complaint YET.
The main complaint is that the new content hasn't been worth repeating, and for that, we have history. Each major update after 1.11 and The Meta Three has added three races per Menu Book (not Extra Menu) or per track addition, even if there were multiple layouts of said track added. Each track addition saw existing classes of races appended to it, while each Menu Book saw new classes of races.

Other than the hour-long slog at Spa, which was part of the the first major update after 1.11, and which is both currently unplayable and only slightly less profitable than The Meta Three, none of the added races are worth more than 800,000 Cr. per hour of gameplay, which is half the worth of the cheapest of The Meta Three. Most of them are worth less than 500,000 Cr. per hour of gameplay.

The way they're doing events only makes sense if their goal was to straight up bore players into buying MTX.

High paying events already exist in the game. It's not like adding more races with similar payout will suddenly allow players to grind faster. It'll still be a 20-30 minute time investment to get the reward.

The real curiosity is what bugs they will introduce. So far they've managed to introduce bugs every content update.
They better have a fix for the weather map bug...
And re-adjust the brake zone areas as some do not even appear and some are short that when you start braking you will overshoot the turn (Fuji at chicane past dunlop sign)

I'll be replicating a '69 Cutlass for sure. ;)

This game desperately needs a spec 2.0 update. With a significant amount of singleplayer content.

This drip feed is beyond ridiculous.

I haven't played since the Glen update, and I could still complete all the new content since then within a night after work.
Which happens to be exactly one content update.

So let me get this straight, we're being given some New FREE Content, both Cars & Track Layouts... :D:cool::drool:
and.....loads of people are either indifferent :indiff::rolleyes:
or are still griping !!:irked::mad::grumpy:
Maybe because this 'FREE content' should have been in the game from launch, and the way its being added gives people 1 hour of new content a month?

These updates add next to nothing of substance to an already lackluster single player game.

Which happens to be exactly one content update.
My point exactly. 2 months and less than 2 hours of new content. Ridiculous.

Their approach to events truly makes no sense to me. Of all things, why the hesitation to add actual racing to your racing game?

It has to be the easiest thing for them to add and yet we usually get the same amount of events as we do cars. I would love to know the internal decisions behind this, I really really would.

It surely cannot be drip feed related because even if they added 15 events per month it's not like they could run out any time soon, the possibilities are essentially infinite. They can do one-make cups for road cars and that alone gives them god knows how many events in the bag. They can do Roadster cups, they can do BMW M Series events, gr2 events including both 2008 and 2016 fielded Super GT races... and so on?

The only sensible option in my mind is they are saving events for a GT League style update, as they want to avoid duplicate races (eg same Schwarzwald League races in both) but I know that is almost certainly not the case.

I love GT7, but they really make it hard not to give up on it sometimes.

Guessing STILL no sell car ability. How the Fudge has this game got LESS features then PS1 GT??
Nah. GT1 didn't have dynamic day/night/weather transitions. No Sport Mode. No interior view. No flicking headlights on/off, four-way flashers, no front spoiler options or rear wings. Custom Race settings save option(when it doesn't freeze the game). No Lamborghini, Ferrari, Audi, Porsche, Hyundai, Jaguar, Lexus and more.

GT1 has qualifying, Championships and selling cars. That's about all I can think of at the moment.

Here's an idea: drive the cars? I spent 2 hours last night doing laps around the Nurburgring by myself, tweaking a single car to perfection for that track. Custom races are fun in you put a little effort in. You have unlimited events at your fingertips. 🤷🏽‍♂️

But it is PD and Sony choice to do it that way

Nar, I have gladly moved on from this game. There's nothing it has that I can't do in Assetto Corsa with way better physics and FFB.

I am by no means knocking people that have fun with this game. If you still manage to get enjoyment out of it, then that is awesome.

I still check in from time to time to see if they add anything decent, but for me they have not. Its the same crap every month. 3 cars, 1.5 hours of content, and bugs. All in a game that I paid $125AUD for that was also falsely advertised.
