I’m not sure what you can do to satisfy someone who states they’ve completed the monthly content in 20 minutes.
How can you not complete the content in 20 minutes? its literally 4 races?

Well maybe not 20 minutes. I'd say well within 40 though. A 5 lap race on Catalunya takes roughly 10 minutes, there are 2 of those. Then the 2 races on a tiny rallycross track.

So much content to complete.

What you could do to satisfy all these ingrates is, I don't know, maybe actually add some races and championships equal to that of the online focused predecessor? That'd be a good start

Now I didn't expect much after the last few updates, but it's just pathetic at this point. 2 cafe books, 4 races with awful payouts, Dior garbage and an F1 car with no actual events to it (Yay for detuning it to 800PP to drive on Sardegna. Again.). And some weird changes to the tire wear and the damage model.
Welp, I'm glad I had 100m saved, so getting new cars was pretty much painless. In case PD would actually fix their game sometime in the future I guess, because I sure am not going to play until the next patch in a month.

Well, pet peeve triggered. European Sunday Cup at the National layout of Barcelona, click on Lopez to see what he has to say, and "The first corner of this track is surprisingly tight, so be mindful of that when you break."

break vs brake. It's as bad as your vs you're, they're vs their, and all the other ignorant lowlife "misteaks." AAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!

The sum of all added races is enough to cover the distance of... a daily marathon ticket.

Its laughable isn't it.

I cannot for the life of me think what their thinking is with this sort of update schedule. I know that I don't speak for everyone, but I can't help but feel that even the die hard fans are starting to get frustrated with it.

How PD think that 40 minutes of new content per month is acceptable is beyond me. Also, releasing new cars that have zero singleplayer races, and then a GR.2 menu book that is buying cars that once again have no more races for them. It is beyond moronic.

that’s you, this game sucks balls but guess what, I’m on a mission to legit save the required $450-470 million that’s the supposed math behind the total amount required to purchase all the cars in game as a big finger to PD, in 6 days I came up with 59 million, I’m happiest when on the road in any game possible 🤣🤣. I take advantage of a broken game before it’s fixed and then move on to the next big game but for what’s it worth, I’m completely taking advantage of this update already having made 5 million today just when I thought I called it quits this morning because of this update.

🤷. This was no different than using your B-spec driver to farm your credits back in the day 🤭

What they offer would be considered pretty weak for weekly updates, let alone monthly. This is not the sort of content release schedule you need to run a live service. Live services convince their players to keep playing for months or years because there's always more to do, new things to earn, new competitions to take part in. Whatever the gameplay style the player is into, there's always more of it.

GT7 just doesn't get it. What they have is not enough for long term play, and the rate at which they're putting stuff out isn't enough to sustain long term play either. They're gonna end up the same way as every other GT game, where the player base dies off until only the hardcore few who like playing in a sandbox and making their own fun are left.

This feels more like Barely Alive Service.

At least Ubisoft gave a roadmap on Division 2 until next year and quite plenty of content, and even then they're still kinda dripping stuff. PD still does worse though.

I drove the McLaren MP4/4 a little while ago and it's great. One of the best additions to a GT game despite the price tag. There's something really special about driving such an historic car raced by a legendary driver.

REALLY liking the tweaks to the physics. RWD cars are much easier to catch when they step out, and it's not as sudden. Good stuff there.

Also bought a Cayman GT4 and did my best to replicate the GT4 RS. More on that in the "What did you do in GT7 today" thread in a bit.

Are you on a wheel or controller ?

Someone posted about them yesterday.

Yeah and in the first couple of months a few stepped forwards to admit they purchased them. I know of 1 person irl too.

Probably a number on here that don't want to declare it due to perceived stigma it carries...

The point is PD could easily have created more events like the big 3 so that the journey to getting all the cars didn't feel like such a repetitive grind.

They've had every opportunity to do it month on month but chose not to at the players' expense.
I know right. So much for "We want to avoid a situation where players mechanically repeat the same races over and over". What a blatant lie that was, along with the vast majority of the garbage that comes out of Yamauchi's mouth.

One. Hundred. Percent.

I'm not sure how one can squeeze 30 days of gameplay out of 40 minutes of content. I fully understand that you can go on sport mode, do hotlaps, tune cars and all that jazz, but as an old school GT fan that was hyped for the return to form, I wanted a GT game to work my way through for a long long time. Not 1 week, and 40 minutes per month thereafter.

I maintain that this is the single biggest disappointment for me in 30 years of gaming.

Wether it will amount to anything remains to be seen,a lot of people will get something back if it happens.

Problem with these things is, that although a lot of people celebrate getting money back from greedy corps, the business will invariably look to recoup losses in other ways, usually from the consumer...

A bit different as public sector, but hapoening in UK now, with things like furlough payments, other things, celebrated and people even encouraged others to take advantage, but costs have to be recouped somehow... as we re now seeing playout... (other events also playing a part of course).
No such thing as a free lunch for everyone.

I havent read the ins and outs of this case, but I'm struggling to see how it will stand tbh. Seems like a big part of the argument is that it's the sole place to buy digitally on this platform. I'm not sure what difference that makes, from a layman's view. Surely the person purchasing is responsible for checking the price in the store, then running a quick Google search to check the price of buying it physically? I guess if you own a digital only version console, you're kind of stuck though.

This could have easily been fixed if they just buff most the payouts to something more like the big 4. 200-300k for 5-6 laps maybe ?

I know I would play other events more if they do that. I would also gladly replay all Human Comedy races if it weren't missions. They're really fun tbh.

Well, they just announced they're increasing PS5 prices in other countries except for USA. So there's that.

Let's speak the truth and be objectively practical. PD's update work is bizarrely palliative and uses diversionary schemes to give the feeling that the game is being updated.

Porsche Cayman GT4 is exactly the same car as the Cayman GT4 Gr.4.

With the exception of the RX tracing, Montmeló's new tracings were already digitized.

And as for the MP4/4, what's the point of bringing an Official Formula 1 car, if this car will only be used for Time Attack and in a race of MP4/4 clones?

Honestly, I don't mean to offend anyone, but damn... it's a TERRIBLE content management.
Hungry for more?

Absolutely. Even a 10 lap WTC 600, 700, and 800 race on every track would 100% be enough to get me playing the game again. I wouldn't even mind if the payout was around the same as the Watkins Glen one. It would add some very much needed variety.

Hungry for more?
Lol. Whoever posts on their Twitter is the most tone deaf person. Hungry for more? More what? "extra Menus?" "Cars with no races for them?" "Vaguely documented, game changing physics updates?" "more lines of conversation in the cafe?" "more insane Hagerty price increases?"

This might be overtly optimistic, but I think there has to be a "piece of the puzzle" that we don't have that might explain the seemingly bizzarre decisions behind the events, maybe they're planning to implement the GT League again later down the road or some new system for Menus, idk. The game has so many cars and so many tracks and yet the best thing they seem to be able to come up with every update is a 10 lap WTC700.

No race at nordschleife seems surreal. 1 ****ing event in monza. Toooons of cars useless in carrear mode. Stll adding extra menus. Probably i never seen in my life something worse then the chooce if the extra menù in a game. I really do not understand how they can come up with this idea and no i e there able to say: oh, wait…why we should propose those to our players? What the **** go on GTPlanet and let’s see what the community think…

If only they actually told us their general plans for the future. We're in the dark here.
