Oops, it looks like you did give notice, I just didn't catch the clue.Record coming up tomorrow (or Monday)
I supposed this discussion could be held in the record book, but I figured I'd move it back here where bcks first brought up the subject.
then later...Also another werid question involving a glitch(i think), its in the stats screen. Has to do with bump and grinds, it give's you a Most Air Acheived(M) stat, but for some reason it goes away. Anybody know why? I made it come back, when i started a new game and loaded my "good" save, and was able to get my record up to 23(m), but now today when i try it, i can't get that stat category to show up again on my good save.
To me it seems like a temporay stat, that shows up in your huge list of stats, but if someone knows a way to make it show up when you want to see your best, or improve your best. I would love to know it.
and..From what i can tell it randomly shows up, im not sure why, or if because i have new mission saved with just the 1st track beaten. It shows up whenever im not expecting it, and when i want it too, its gone.
So anyway, I was watching my air stat and tried the unique jump a few times. That stat, and particularly that jump, are a little glitchy. As bcks noted, the Most Air stat may or may not show up in the stat page. On the save I was working on, it was not displayed. I decided to put that stat off for another save anyway.Seem like it comes and goes when it please's. I have a save with just the first mission and first bump and grinds complete. Even with that save, it doesn't always show up. But it seems like it helps, i guess.
However, I was getting some very strange results. I can't quite figure out what is being measured. Most of the time the bumps and jumps air scores seem like they are measuring distance. But during thrills and spills it sometimes looks like height (Z distance) might also be a factor. Falling straight down from the tracks will provide a pretty decent score (9-12).
Air scores using the unique jump over the L-train aren't scoring as expected. I get the impression that the calculations through geometry, or over the severe terrain surrounding the jump, are seriously messed up. For example, my best air scores (several in the 20-22 range) are from jumping slowly from the ramp onto the tracks (Sanchez or Manchez).
