I forgot to ask earlier.
A friend of mine just started playing GTA Online. So yesterday we did some Trash talk and other missions to get him an apartment (while they are on sale) so he could get some cars, starting with the free Elegy.
The thing is, he doesn't have the free Dominator, Gauntlet and...Stallion? The ones with the liveries. Does he have to unlock them in story mode first? I'm guessing that's what's making him not be able to get them, but he's also missing one of the supercars from the Cunning Stunts DLC. As in, it's not available to buy:confused:

As far as I'm aware, you don't need to unlock them in singleplayer. The cars were originally meant for returning players from PS3/X360, but now they are available to everyone online. If you're a returning player, they are free, but if you aren't, you'll have to pay for them.

So to do the Shanc glitch I do headhunter, then run over to the flight school icon at the airport and do a flight school lesson, then start up headhunter again after the cooldown, and then I should be able to do headhunter over and over without the cooldown from that point. Is that correct? Does the flight school have to be started from the on map icon or is there a way to start it through the start menu? Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I think I'm going to give it a shot when I get home from work.

Anyone up for SHANC on xbone? Bored of doing it solo lol.

You have to go to the icon to launch. Invite only session remember.

This just in: 3 of the hidden cars now online:

The Drift Tampa at nearly a million.
The Cliffhanger hanging on 225k.
And the Lynx at a Shark Card luring 1.735 million!!

Thanks to SHANC they're not a big problem to get.. but that Lynx.. it's the ultimate trap. The price totally doesn't justify how it drives.

Social Club article
If you’re already fully maxed out on room in your garages, don’t forget you can always use your second character (and the shared bank account) to open up to 5 more garages, and 50 more parking spaces.

Yea- nah, I think I'll pass on having to unlock everything over again just to be able to buy more overpriced cars.

So long, me spending GTA$ on anything but Savages. May we meet again, when the Prophecy of The 6th Property comes true.

I've probably missed the boat but what is SHANC? Is it some sort of money glitch?

Yes. But unlike the many other money glitches, it's only in circulation within GTPlanet (and hopefully to be kept that way). The name is an acronym for:

Setting
H
eadhunter
At
N
o
C
ooldown

And here are the steps that I've copied and edited off one of my older posts
  • Go online, but can be, and best done in a private room
  • Be a CEO/VIP (dunno if this works on VIP)
  • Do a random VIP job to get all the jobs on cooldown
  • Do a Flight School lesson, and end up in another room with your CEO/VIP active
  • Wait for the 5 minute cooldown.
  • Do Headhunter, better in the city
  • The next time the VIP Jobs comes up, Headhunter should be able to be done again.
  • Repeat, and Headhunter should still be doable
  • ???
  • PROFIT!
Well, who found it? Me, but I'm not super duper psyched about it.. but I found it still :D

Well time to boot up my ps4 and start playing GTA Online once again. Problem is that i'm not a CEO and i don't have enough money to be a VIP so could anyone help me?

I would do SHANC over and over again, if it wasn't for the fact that I really dislike Headhunter. So I'll just keep on buying/selling cargocrates in my "private" public lobbies:)

I'm kind of disappointed by the Drift Tampa though. Only performancemodifications, and when fully modded, it's still slower than my fully modded Elegy. Wich was almost free. Love the looks of the Tampa though.

If anyone wants to run some SHANC i have a session open now so drop my a message on psn and i'll invite you (psn: GTP_Christian_C)

Will probably run it for the next few hours so I can buy myself an ETR1

They've got a cheek calling that Tampa a drift car. It drives no different than any other car when you try and go sideways and it's pretty slow

The Lynx is so average

Cheers @Jahgee for that brief paper making session yesterday. Always like breaking into a new million figure, and now the Tampa is out, money will get spent.

Thank you for that ... I've made well over 10MIL off of this. It's the best kept secret out there ...and I'm certainly keeping my mouth shut. There are other forums reporting that they've come across this ... but it seems that none of them can figure out how they got there, or replicate it.

And it's still working this morning ..... Ssssshhhhhh .... :)

tl;dw the Drift Tampa and Lynx are both completely useless, the Cliffhanger is surprisingly good (about as good as the Carbon RS) so you could hypothetically use it in bike races against randoms, and R* have apparently completely lost their minds by putting the Drift Tampa in the Sports class when it would be perfect in the Muscles class.

Can we also add that the Lynx is probably just the biggest waste of money to ever exist? I mean, with 1.7 million, you can probably get the cheapest settings for an office and start transferring cargo (or SHANCing if you rather). You can also get the Buzzard at that price, and have an overall better time at anything you do in the game. Granted, the Yachts are much more worse in this regard, but for a car that offers next to none?

It's like the Lynx has somehow evolved to be the golden toilet of the GTA world. Sad. I really like what the car promised, even if it didn't have the performance.

But now: I'm at a nice 6 million, ready for a fully modded 2nd gen Contender (in which I will bet that it will at least be competitive in the SUV class) and the Rally Truck.

Well I am definitely buying the Lynx. Even more so after seeing this picture on GTAF (credit - 'TG_Stig')

Do I care its overpriced? Nah, it's not like I am short of options for Sports class races.

That a modded trailer though right?

I accidentally got a sideways crew emblem on my Tyrus and can't find a way to get rid of it

1.2 million down the drain.
