So, hang on, you could spend 1.7 million on one of the most underwhelming cars in the game, or spend 200k more on the second best performing car in the game?

Yeah, I know what I'd spend my money on.

I accidentally got a sideways crew emblem on my Tyrus and can't find a way to get rid of it

1.2 million down the drain.
Try restaring the game and see if it's still there.

It's a shame that whole lion graphic thing going on ruins the rest of it.

In general it's not a bad looking graphic, but for what we want it's so out of place haha.

Still, I've been having fun hooning it through parking garages.

Stealing this from the NoDo forums, haven't tried it so can't confirm if it works or not
First of all, I did try this, so I know for sure it works. I speak from experience while writing these instructions

This works on all new gen platforms btw (maybe old gen too, I'm not too sure).

I'm not sure if it works in invite only or crew sessions, I only did it in public ones. Find a chill public session, slam on passive mode, and you should be fine. You should always try the glitch with a non-upgraded car first, just to see if it works in your current session. In some sessions it works, in others it doesn't. So make sure it works before spending money on upgrading a car. Trust me, I learned that the hard way

This might seem a lot when I write it down as instructions, but it takes no more than a few minutes to set up, and after that it's like a minute for every duplication. I just like to get rambly over details, that's why this seems long af

1. Find a random car from the street. These are the most profitable cars: Schafter, Schwartzer, Sentinel (both XS and normal), Felon GT (only the GT, which is the convertible one!).
2. Smash it up (break the windows, whatever).
3. Drive into LSC and repair it. This is the point where you can fully upgrade the car if needed (that is once you made sure the glitch works in your current session, to prevent you from losing money)

Upgrades that add value to your car (in green):
Armor
Brakes
Engine
Horn (San Andreas loop is best)
Headlights
Neon Lights

Respray
Suspension
Transmission
Turbo
Wheels (chose the most expensive one from chrome high ends)

Tires (custom)
Tires (bulletproof)
Tires (smoke)
Windows

4. Drive out of LSC, smash the car up again (don't wreck it too badly, just leave some visible marks. It will make sense later)
5. Drive to one of your garages. It doesn't have to be the one where you'll store the duplicates, it can be any garage. A full garage is handy here, but it's not a requirement. Make sure nobody is around, as the car will despawn if someone else is watching you do this! Park the car in such a way that the driver side door is near the blue circle, so that when you get out of the car, you would stand in it. Don't drive the car in your garage, because a car with a tracker does not work with this glitch! This is why a full garage is handy, because you won't accidentally drive in. Or if you don't have a full garage, a life-saving trick here is to bring up your interaction menu. That will get rid of the blue circle temporarily, so even if you park the car right there, you will not drive in automatically. Once you positioned the car correctly, put the menu away and exit the car (right into the blue circle), so that the garage sucks you in right away. If it doesn't happen right away, get back in the car and position it in a better way. Once you're in, simply walk back out. The car should still be there. Bring up the interaction menu again, so the ability to drive into the garage is disabled, just so you can safely get into the car and drive away without putting it into the garage.
6. At this point the car is ready to duplicate. Make sure you have a contact mission on your phone ready to accept (if not, call Gerald, Ron or Simeon to get one).
7. Start driving, and once you gain a bit of speed (you don't need too much, you just need to be moving really), accept the contact mission. Ideally you should do this right outside the garage where you want to store the cars, so you don't have to drive too far to save them.
8. Once on the mission lobby screen, simply back out of it.
9. You will spawn back on the street with the original car as well as as duplicate somewhere nearby (it takes a few seconds for the duped one to spawn, just keep looking around)
10. Take the duplicate and drive it into a garage to save it, then as soon as you get out of it, haul ass out of your garage to make sure the original doesn't despawn. It doesn't tend to do that, but it can happen. Always save the duplicate, never the original! This is the reason we smashed up the original car the second time, so it's easy to tell the difference! Duplicates can't be duplicated again (unless prepared with the right steps), and also the original can't be sold or stored. So always use the og to make dupes, and the dupes to make money.
11. Get back in the og car, and repeat from step 6 until you have enough duplicates

A few things to remark:
A fully upgraded car (one of the models I mentioned in the first step at least) will sell for $200k. Storing 50 of them on a second character is about 10 mil in total
smiley.png

The original car can sometimes despawn, but that's rare though. 95% of the time it's fine if you just leave it like right across the street from the garage so it stays out of sight for the least amount of time possible while you save a dupe. If you remain in free roam, it will not despawn while you're in the session even if you leave the area though.

Another glitch to bypass the 48 minute cooldown when selling them:

Get into a duped car (or any car for that matter, this glitch is universal), sell it at lsc, and as soon as you get out of lsc and you see the + $200000 (or however much the car is worth) in the corner, unplug your network cable. The game will throw you back into single player. Plug your internet back, and go back online. Repeat.
Make sure to get a garage that's near an lsc. This will speed up the process a lot. Also set your spawn location to the garage you're selling the cars from, so when you get back online, you can immediately hop in one and drive it to lsc right away. It's the best to just launch an invite only session every time you go back from single player since it takes less time to load because you're not connecting to other people, once again speeding things up.

From in-game scripts:
Dune = $1,300,000 and $1,385,000
Contender = $250,000

The Sprunk Buffalo is $535,000 for non-returning players.

The glitch above has been out for several weeks and undergone several patch attempts, changing the method several times. It was, at best, inconsistent. If you are going to try it, I would recommend not modifying the first car you duplicate just to confirm it works before dumping several hundred thousand on a car you may lose. Between the 48 minute wait which cannot be bypassed* and the inconsistent nature of this glitch I am not bothering.

* The 48 min wait bypass detailed above where you quickly remove your ethernet cable only works on PC because PC uploads the save files at programmed intervals whereas the consoles are updated realtime. The glitch itself has only been verified as effective on PC as well, so console users proceed at your own potential loss.

I'll write in this thread since it has to do with Online.

I had the same bug for the second time now.

The counter doesn't register the cargo drops. When the mission ends, the airplane stalls and a message tells you that all cargo was lost, but in reality only 2 crates are lost.

Here, I made a video.

It looks to me as though the timer ran out and ended your 'Sell' Mission. I don't think that is a glitch, but the intended consequence R* programmed in for failed sales. I think there may be a 'glitch' in the message that says all cargo lost when you only lost 2 crates, but as far as the plane stalling and mission ending I believe that is all intended.

Edit: As for the not registering the drops, I've done several sell missions and haven't seen that issue yet. I do tend to fly very low to assure that the item would land in the drop zone even if it's drifts a bit on the parachute. Unfortunately I don't have much of answer for that part besides 'typical R*' much like folks receiving special crate calls and then not having a special purchase option on the computer.

I didn't had this problem before the update, although I sold one stock that time. Today this happened twice from 3 times. First time 5 crates were remaining when the counter stopped counting the crates. Both times I lost 2 crates.

Both airplane missions failed today because of this, one tug mission was a success.
