On a different note, I believe the Insurgent Custom has serious potential if you decide to be an MC president and recruit half the lobby as it'll seat 4 in the car with the back 2 having access to the mounted gun, then there's room in the pickup bed for at least another 2 (maybe 4?) and then you have room on the sides for at least 2 (4 possibly?) more which means you could at least hold 8 and a theoretical maximum of 12 with the Insurgent Custom.
Insurgent carries 4 in the cabin, 1 on the MG turret, 2 in the back, and 2 on the insides. I'm sure the combined fire of six machine pistols, two light machine guns, and a minigun should be more than sufficient for your needs.

Just read this Research glitch at the '7' forum. When the research is at the last notch before completion, click on Fast-Track. Wait until the Research is complete and the next project shows up. If it's the project you want, click on 'Confirm'. You just now Fast-Tracked 2 items for a low price of $45,000.

...but now I'm stuck with a 3rd Research project, the ever popular weapon tint :indiff:

No, you fast-track 1 item completely for $45k, since the item that gives you the opportunity to fast-track for $45k gets completed. Still worth it though.

What do you need to put weapon attachments on? MOC?

Yep, MK 2 weapon attachments are only in the MOC because incentive to buy one.

I mean, if you have the money you might as well throw it at a nuke-proof big rig, right?

It also fast tracks the 2nd item without consuming supplies. I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago.

And I've been taking full advantage of it. Completed all the research projects so all I have to focus on now is production. :D

I nearly exclusively use first person. It's certainly optional, but for me does provide a much more immersive experience. The game does provide certain accommodations and benefits to first person, but to my knowledge none are to the detriment of third person gameplay. The relief map on the conference room table in your CEO offices is one of the notable instances.

As well, speed scaling is different in first and third person, which is why cars 'feel' like you are going much faster in third person. Accordingly, it can actually be easier to prevent being 'Rockstarred,' the term coined to denote those occurrences where traffic mysteriously and maliciously alters course or simply appears in front you to presumably cause an unavoidable collision, when driving in first person.

It is certainly not best for everyone nor every activity, however.

Edit: Oh yeah, and no rapid-tap for sprinting on foot or swimming in first person, and on foot you don't even need to operate the directional to continue running. Push the directional to face and begin walking the way you want to move, hold 'X' and you will continue to run with no directional input. Another one of those accommodations, or benefits.

Side to side wigglers with the sniper rifles in first person get a speed increase on the wiggling.

If you find yourself in a side to side wiggle kill fest with some try hard always go first person view.....if you want.

(On a personal note first person view makes me suffer from motion sickness)

Sneaking in first person gives you walking speed tip toes.

And on PC, first person with mouse and keyboard is particularly much more advantageous in combat than many other control schemes.

For a change of scenery, I highly recommend folks give the following a try sometime;

Set to First Person view
Turn off Mini-map and HUD(perhaps best in a controlled session, or you'll want to have your wits about you)
Crank up stereo or headset
Take a bicycle ride; maybe do some park riding BMX downtown or a mountain bike trip. Even the short trail up to the Getty Centre is great for this. Simply holding X rather than the rapid-tap will give a more realistic riding pace. The sights, the sounds of the freewheel, derailleur, and even tyres on various surfaces(try riding on wood - the pier, ocean front walk, etc) are all pretty entertaining IMO. I know it's not a popular thing to do, but slowing down the pace and taking a (visual) sniff of the virtual proverbial roses can open up a new perspective on the game.

I know that I've caught folks hiking in the woods and such that I would've never expect to find...so there has got to be some hope!

;)

A little along the same lines as Marcus, but just.. not going everywhere at 100+ mph?

Was just parked up at a red light in the Comet Retro and I'm fairly certain I heard a pedestrian say "That's a nice car! You must be real insecure!"

It's so easy to forget just how good GTA actually is. Seriously. Take a leaf out of Cars' book every once in a while.

I don't really have a problem with the game having first-person, but the way that it's been implemented.

By the way, have anyone else ever gotten personal deals/sales for certain items? Yesterday, the game gave me a reduced price for the Swift amd Supervolito, and last week, I had one for the Valkyrie.

There are a lot of little bits like that most folks don't get to experience or don't take note of. Restaurant menus, adverts, even what appears to be legitimate signage often contains some humour. There's always the woman who remarks to a person over the phone that "You bet'a not be cheatin' again" and the further asserts that she will verify the response with "When you get home I'm gonna smell ya 🤬"

Yes, there do appear to be targeted solicitations, discounts, etc based upon prior purchases and actvities. That algorithm was suspected to be linked to the random bonuses some players receive periodically, as well. Bank account balance may play a part. Nothing has been confirmed.

With no intent to disagree, what is it regarding the implimentatiom of first person that is unsatisfactory? First person is glitchey in certain circumstances and there are many issues I have with it. Genuinely curious for your views.

When I moved to PS4 I knew I wanted to use first person, but it was uncomfortable at first. In a car or in a firefight it can feel claustrophobic without the wide angle of third person, climbing can be cumbersome, and the screen movements can be difficult to get used to. Finding it so enjoyable just walking around made me somewhat force myself to use it exclusively for a while to acclimate myself. It was then I started to notice a lot of the details that you can't with the distances in third person. Thats where little things like the relief map in the office, water textures in the fountains, even the footprints in the dirt trails appear more significant. I do remember what it felt like when it felt like a handicap, though.

I noticed once GTA was updated for the PS4 that NPCs had new phone conversations. I remember overhearing one guy phoning his boss to say he couldn't come into work because he had Ebola, and I don't recall hearing that on the previous version.

Dan
Post some pictures when you're done. I'd love to see it!

And I finally deliver!

Then there's always that one Altruist dude telling me to perform fellatio but in a far less polite way.

Unless I've been hearing it wrong, "suck my leg" is my personal favorite.

There's no way I've been hearing it right
