There's always that one guy that gets freaked out for whatever reason and says something soundung like...

"mmmmmmMMMMEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDD!"

Usually includes him diving out of the way of a car.

This is in the singleplayer but,

"What's up man?"

*drops coffee*

"Well I just got my third degree blackbelt, so, I'm really excited to hurt somebody"

Didn't end well

Favorite reaction though is when you startle a hipster, "UNIRONIC RETARD!"

GOOD NEWS!

I've spoken to my employees union leader (****ing LJT) and they've all agreed to come back to work.

I have had to promise bigger garages for my mechanic and less trips to the impound yard for my PA though. :grumpy:

Proposing that whenever R* drops the last two vehicles (i.e. sometime around christmas) there shall be a look-at-all-these-things-we-forgot-existed-in-the-race-to-make-money event/road trip/be-a-tourist-in-LS kind of thing for the sole purpose of all the things we'd miss otherwise.

I still want to do a sort of treasure hunt too.

Or some form of racing event with race cars from the Sports class/a proper Trophy Truck race. That could be interesting.

You can organize a "barn find" of sorts by having someone's personal vehicle be the target. While in a solo private room, hide your car. Then when you think you're a good distance away, invite the hunters in your lobby to play.

And personally, make use of landmarks. Try not to hide the car up the many mountains and hills, or behind a house etc.

I like how dumb the NPCS sound when they say that my character looks like a tranny when I nowhere near look like one. Like do I look like a tranny to you?

"You look like a tranny!" to be exact with what they say.

But at the same time, it's nothing to be surprised about considering these are the same people that drive into you when you're doing import / export missions.

Well yesterday was quite hectic on a few resupply runs for the Bunker and two of them had moments worth capturing.

First and foremost was a very short drive to collect Supplies from the cultists and whilst the pick up was smooth, the drive back nearly went pearshaped in a manner rather famous to a certain movie cliffhanger. :D

That was a rather tame problem compared to the next run which pretty much had all the markings of the GTA Online gods wanting to me fail.

It was a heist crew theft of a Technical Custom near the pier and it was something I've done many times without major incident, but this one had a Hydra in Passive mode hovering over it. :scared:

Now he probably wasn't expecting someone to be there stealing the pickup so it was more bad luck on my part than anything that he was there, but he didn't attack so I clean out the crew, jumped in the pickup and ran for it.

This video picks up about a minute or so later and the heist crew is on my tail at this point.

Safe to say afterwards that my nerves were beyond shot.

To be honest, some of the random's female characters you see look more manly than my online guy.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how Trevor's garage door *stil*/once again opens for you in Online?

I mean, it makes sense for those few Contact Missions, but.. why not limit it to them, then? It's not like the whole only-does-things-in-certain-missions is new, and those missions don't really tie into freeroam at all.

*is kind of tempted to see if that means cars can be transferred to single player*

I guess I'll finally start work on that map of openables/barns I've been thinking of for some time now.

Also I totally haven't just gotten the greatest idea ever for I/E 2.0. It might slightly involve Roger's Scrapyard/the many barns and other openable garages, a fixed Wastelander/tow truck/vehicle transport trailer and some element of Biker/Bunker mechanics.

There's also certain garage doors that still open to you in online as well as single player. But the whole incentive to transfer your cars was to save money/make money.

However nowadays, single player doesn't even get the new vehicles. So there's really no point unless you want to get banned.

As a guy who's already used mod menus on single player, you're not going to get banned for using online only cars. Cars released after the initial Further Adventures in Finance and Felony release (X80 Proto and after) are programmed to just vanish instantly when spawned in single player.

Yeah, have come across quite the selection of those, before and after, relevant or not to I/E. The fun and games when attempting to put them together is remembering them all *or* having to go through each and every part of the map.

Then again, I gotta do something while I wait for the Bunker to fill up, right?

Fun Fact: the wall breach at The Port House - you can still pass through. But you'll die instantly.

..I guess that's fixing it, in a way?

No they don't care about single player modding, do what you want.

They care about glitching, modding, etc in online.

The only one I can remember off the top of my head is a door in the parking lot used for a heist mission. It's the one directly to the east of an Ammunation.

If you're talking about the Key Codes mission, the parking lot isn't even used there. It's been there since day 1, and I don't recall any missions using it at all, so I think it might've been for a mission that was cut or something.

I really wish the turreted vehicles had the option for putting optics on the guns instead of the craptastic iron sights. A Technical with a magnified scope would be amazing in the right hands.

There-might-might-not-be-a-new-vehicle-in-GTAO-in-some-24-hours-time talk:

By my reckoning, we're only three vehicles away from having them all: XA-21 on Legendary, Ardent and Nightshark on Warstock.

If the leaks are to be believed (and the legit ones have been thus far) the Ardent NIGHTSHARK releases before the Nightshark ardent, so the potential releases tomorrow (if that happens) is either Ardent NIGHTSHARK or XA-21.

(edited for reasons of Lord Custom878 and his eternal wisdom. praise Lord Custom878)

Speaking of garages, it's interesting to think that pretty much all the openable garages used in most notably I/E are on the eastern side of the map, including a couple in the Hills and the one at the key cards. Everything on the western half and a few on the eastern half (including some in La Mesa) still open for no real reason.

Were you not supposed to be able to drive into those garages to escape the cops? Seems the doors dont close after you go inside though.
It worked in SP iirc.

Seems like if you're on foot they won't close, but in a car they will. I've used the one in Sandy Shores at the gas station a few times, to get away from cops.

Can't say I've got too much experience with their pursuit usability, though I have seen some of them closing when your car is far enough in.

If it does work.. yay, I guess? Part of the map will actually be useful?

Edit: Fun Fact about these openable garages - turns out at least one of them *does* have something to do with a mission, this being the one where Chad Mulligan picks up the Z-Type in the story mission Eye In The Sky (or, if you didn't pay attention to such things, the one where you first fly a helicopter to find someone, then steal their car and bring it to the airport).

Soo.. cut missions, maybe? That's either a whole lot of missions involving opening garage doors or a few big ones.

Should be the other way around. The Nightshark releases before the Ardent.

What to do when you get teamed up for a mission with someone who is clearly away from the screen?

Well, I pushed him onto the tram rails and waited for the tram to arrive.

Sadly, the tram driver actually brakes to avoid obstacles like this. So I completed the mission on my own and then went with plan b: parachuting race!

Unfortunately, he regained consciousness already halfway through the second jump, but up until that point I had a blast!
