Double cash on gunrunning is a beautiful thing.

With a fully upgraded bunker, 1 bar of supplies gives you $420k if you sell in Los Santos. And it's only one vehicle:tup:

I did two sales, which were an Insurgent with a single drop off, and a weaponized dunebuggy with 5 drop offs.

Combined with the random heists I joined, just for fun and to keep myself occupied, I made close to, and maybe more than, a million tonight (I bought my supplies). Not too shabby, since I don't consider it a grind, as long as I'm entertained.

Earned well over $800k today, with minimal time put in. had one sale for $336k, did a Sightseer or two, had another sale at $462k, and finished it off by commiting an actual Grand Theft Auto on a couple of blue Sentinel XS's.

I can actually get a few more cars that I've wanted for awhile this week!

- Tempesta
- Torero
- Surrano
- Jester
- Faction Donk to turn into a mud truck of sorts (Don't tell @Jahgee...)

Maybe a few more, but that'll get me started. Hell, I've got garage spaces out my rear end, I might as well fill them.

If for whatever reason I had to start over from scratch, I would likely live a much simpler GTA lifestyle. I thought about making another character from scratch, and keeping it simple to only what I enjoy in the game. Doing so cuts the 'stuff' I 'need' down considerably, and adjusts the $ needed accordingly. If I wanted a simple life for my playing style, once I had the desirable marine vessels and aircraft paid for, there is little I'd want to spend money on further. I'd likely keep an apartment with a 10-car garage, and since I engage in zero racing most of my cars would be cheaper cruise vehicles. The Emperor, Rancher XL, and similar cars would likely be what I keep. Similarly, given I don't shootemup all that much, and rarely do so voluntarily; I could probably cut out most of the armament. I could probably build a character that satisfies 90% of my activity needs for under $10 mil if I had to. The items that would stand to blow that budget would be the Toro, Tug, Miljet etc for me, which likely aren't on most players' radar as essentials.

The best part for me about a simple lifestyle like above, is that it precludes the necessity for things like the Buzzard, Cargobob, Office, Bunker, etc. Those types of things aren't needed if you don't need to generate significant income, which you wouldn't if you don't have those significant expenses that come with desires to purchase the big ticket items.

I did create a new character recently. Gave him a suit (Reservoir Dogs style), a black Albany Manana and a Heavy Pistol and that's it. That's really all I need for him and such a minimalistic approach actually makes the game more fun. Not least because it allows you to play for fun instead of grinding for money.

Don't be a peasant

You don't need the cash or space. Keep it for the racecar collection.

Thing is I've never really been able to find a paint scheme that I like on the car, and it is starting to just annoy me. I only ever used it for races while it was OP'd, but now that that is gone I just have no use for a car that I don't like the look of. I'll probably never drive it again.

While not popular, like many of my positions, I've always like the way the 7B drove. I don't race, so even when they nerfed the grip it didn't bother me. I just like the way the car dances.

It is a little 'much' for me in regards to realism of what you may see on the streets, so it mostly stays tucked away until the desire presents. The idea of realism, though, has clearly gone out the window with subsequent updates.

I struggle to get rid of cars, even those I don't drive often. I'm now running out of garage space, less I want to sacrifice my Sentinel garage and the income that provides. Just last night I spent some time driving back to back the two cars that were up on the chopping block to make room for a new addition, and despite spending several minutes with each I could not bring myself to decide to sell either.

Welcome to Hoarders Anonymous, would you like a t-shirt you'll definitely use more often than the Knuckleduster one?

It's just about the time of year where we get a property expansion anyway. Aside from the Office Garages (which was glorious - more of that, please, even if that means garage space in the Bunker) new-gen has generally seen one extra property slot added each year, for up to 10 more cars - and I refuse to count the one slot in the MOC.

Besides, we all know how much R* loves Shark Cards. Wouldn't the ultimate seller of Shark Cards be the ability to buy all properties and fill each and every one of them to the brink with vehicles?

I, too, was hopeful for more garage space coming with the flood of Pegasus vehicles converting to garage-storable custom variants. While I don't intend to convert any of those and waste precious garage space on an Insurgent or Technical that I've called maybe once since I bought it, I would have thought R* would want to capitalise on other players as many have expressed apprehension at converting the vehicles absent available garage space.

I also wish we could pull out more than one car at a time, even if the prior was locked in place once the subsequent car was called in, like we were able to on PS3.

So far garage space is not an issue for me. What I'd really rather see added to the game is mansions as a buyable property. I really just want that one badass main property with all the features.

I've been tempted to buy the most expensive stilt apartment just because it has a pool round the back. I'd love a big property with a pool or hot tub like the yacht has.

For me I'd prefer it not an either/or. I'd rather more garage space, and mansions. Above all, I'd prefer map expansion. I suspect that two of those three won't happen on this platform in GTA Online, but of course I'm open to being pleasantly surprised.

Unfortunately, with the map as-is the options for mansions are rather limited. Most of the better developed properties in the game are in use somewhere during the gameplay for an NPC character like Martin, or Devin Weston. A while back a theory circulated that the several properties in game that feature a keypad/intercom like what you walk up to enter your garage properties might indicate a plan to develop these as purchasable residences. So far nothing has come of it, although the keypads remain. Some in curious locations.

Gosh, I remember when they came round. I drove round to every single one to have a look at their features and surroundings and ended up going with this one. You pay all that money, and quite a few of those stilt houses don't even come with a decent driveway! That one feature of a mansion I would love to have, and decent sized driveway. That way in GTPL sessions, everyone can come down to a mansion of choice and chill, inside and out. All the cars in the driveway would make for an awesome photo op.

Another thing I hated about the stilt house is that I can't go from interior house to garage, can't go onto my balcony at the back of house to look at the view. Rockstar needs to code these upper market properties with more interactiveity.

Yeah, same here. I ended up going with 2043 North Conker Ave. because the drive was decent. I wish the sliding doors in the living room and bedroom opened. I just want a house with the interactivity of a yacht!

Stilt houses, considering what they could've done with them.. is a bit on the disappointing side. Only a select very few of them have pools, and an even lower number have decent views, not to mention how they all seem to be the smallest house within a ten mile radius.

There isn't really a whole lot to choose between the different Stilt houses. From my snooping around/owning a couple of them, I'd say 2044 North Conker and 2874 Hillcrest Avenue seem to have the better/more interesting driveways, whereas 3655 Wild Oats Drive has a pool. You can't access it normally, but it's there and the view isn't too bad.

It's not like R* doesn't have enough buildings they could easily adapt for online living. Most of the Banham Canyon/Chumash area on the western coastline, for instance, would be perfectly usable without conflicting Story mode or be right in the middle of a Gang Attack. Same with Picture Perfect Drive. If I wanted a place that says "I'm rich and I'm totally not compensating for something", that place and the area in the middle of Lake Vinewood would rank high on the shortlist. Why are none of these places inhabitable?

Granted, Lake Vinewood is a whole lot more difficult to fit a living space in now, given that a crate mission, a vehicle source mission and a vehicle selling mission in total involves all but two houses there, but the point stands.

(on the subject of which, I find it amusing how the "heist" FailRace did in that area was basically the precursor to the actual sourcing mission, down to the car being parked pretty much correctly) (we need to do something like that at some point)

Got a random $300,000 gifted to me by R*. There was a message that popped up when I was loading the game, but I didn't see what it actually said.

Anyone else got these recently?

It has been a few weeks for me, but the black screen message is what typically pops up and is screenshot here showing the money deposited to your bank account. If it has been less than 15 minutes, you can go and save video from the share options and the screen will be there for you to review. The save video option defaults to save the prior 15 minutes, absent a 'start recording' trigger.

Edit: Like this, probably;

I'm not talking about the black screen. It was one of those things that shows up while you're waiting to enter a session.

Also tried to find it, but my capture wasn't set up I guess.

Well, you've got me confused, then. That's not hard to do, though.

The black screen above that appears the moment you sign in is preceded by a notice in the loading menu that appears in letter form(Dear So-and-so,) and I've never seen one without the other. So perhaps something different.

Can't help you with the capture because there is nothing to set up....the only options are whether you use the quick capture feature or not, but going into the menu and selecting to save video saves the last 15 minutes. This is even on a brand-new untouched PS4.
