Today I got banned from online again, well, for a month this time :lol:

I literally spawned in my apartment, went into the garage and took my car outside and in about 3 minutes I had been banned and sent back to single player. As it turns out, texture mods, which are like ultra harmless to everyone are not allowed online. Thanks Rockstar!

I have to imagine that RockShart is using some kind of global algorithm that ferrets out ANY kind of mod. Still pretty bogus. That is some sick 🤬 livery!
 
:rolleyes: Seriously, Rockstar? What a bunch of bitches. Texture mods don't hurt anyone unless you're wallhacking in competitive deathmatches (If that's a thing in GTA. I know that's massively popular on CounterStrike).
 
As much as I love the idea behind textures I can see where it could go terribly wrong. Not everyone has good taste and there are folks who have questionable morals. Racism and Religious themes are just a few quick reminders of how someone could go to far.

But texture mods are client-side only, meaning that only the person who installed them can see them.
 
I noticed this rank 30-something picking on a rank one.

Pulled up in my Insurgent, fired at him with my AP pistol. No shots hit.

I chase his Elegy around the city (In an Insurgent, that's how bad he was), eventually he drove it into the ocean at the docks. I get out, and fire my combat MG blindly in the water. He surfaces on the other side with a marksman rifle. I kill him with the heavy. He tries for a second duel but I shot him once and he hid.

Never one to leave a job unfinished, I call mercenaries on him. He gets in his newly called Elegy and rushes off. I chase him once more to some sort of car park ramp. He gets out to fight the Mercenaries, and shoot him in the head from my Insurgent.

Next, I pull up on him head-on from the same Insurgent, and we end up killing each other.

He tries to run off with his one kill, so I went ahead and let him go.

Then, he stops at the ammo store.

I threw a sticky on the back of his Elegy and drove off. I see the dot move outside the store, count to three, and blow it up.

I laughed all the way to my apartment, where I stopped to type this.

PS4 I believe. What I think people do is rank up a character to have loads of cash then make a new character, buy loads of guns and then greif people that way. Sneaky tactic I must say.

After spending most of the time recording a video in creator there was a scene that had to be recorded in free mode, so I went to freemode but got spawned at the top of Mt Chiliad. No big deal, not too long of a drive to the city. It's also worth mentioning I was using my Rank 4 character. Only weapons I had were the pistol, sawn off shotgun and Special Carbine. I get to the city but decide to use a sports car in the scene, so I take a black Comet. Then a red Comet pulls up, I had my HUD off so didn't know their mental state, and they start shooting me. I shoot back while trying to escape. After a frantic drive I somehow lost them in mere minutes, checked my map and they buggered off so let them be.

2: I though it was more akin to the Rolls Royce Wraith.

6 & 8: It's the same car. A styling hybrid of the LaFerrari and Huayra.

The gold stuff is likely 5 mil plus...

And I think the 300SL has gullwing doors too!

I don't like the wrap on the Wraith, I'm hoping there is a regular painted version...

Hopefully. But I'll need to buy a new garage and grind all of the missions to get the cash for these cars.... The Huayra will be my first buy, then the Eldorado and maybe the Wraith...

That PDW looks awesome.

My thoughts:

  • Enus Windsor: I'm interested because I suspect this might be a drop-top Super-Diamond (except not a Super Diamond, but you know what I mean). Hopefully there's an option to get one without a wrap, thankfully the one in the picture is only one of eight wraps.
  • Buckingham Swift + Luxor Deluxe: Yaaawn. Why buy these when there are already versions of both which aren't hideous? Unless you're roleplaying as someone who tragically lost all sense of taste in an accident, these really seem kinda stupid when you could be using the money to buy cars or apartments or useful military hardware.
  • Combat PDW: Looks pretty boring, but then I'm not a gun person. I suspect it's going to be an SMG which sadly means that it may as well be useless - when was the last time you used the SMG or Assault SMG outside of not having any better options at the time?
  • Albany Virgo: Hmm... I'm not sure what to think. On the one hand we're in dire need of some new cars which aren't flashy sports cars, but on the other hand it just looks like a slightly updated Manana. Hopefully it'll be way cooler than it looks in the picture.
  • Benefactor Stirling GT: Pleeeeease be a top-tier Sports Classics car... that class is slowly becoming one of the more balanced classes and I'd love to see another addition, especially one that looks like that.
  • Pegassi Osiris: Ergh, not another supercar. At the very least it might finally usurp the Zentorno as the 'I kill everyone I see and then bawl when someone kills me back' car, and I do like the styling. Very Huayra-like.
  • Clothing: That fur coat looks awesome. Thank god we're finally getting some jackets that aren't hoodies or suits.
All in all I think it's gonna be a pretty mediocre update - everything is going to be ridiculously expensive, so save up now if you want anything. I might buy some of the cars if they end up being any good, but I'll pass on the tacky gold aircraft. Looking forward to what they come up with in Part 2 though.

I don't care about the gold stuff, they look ridiculous.

I want the El Dorado, the Rolls, and maybe the other Super. We need a 4th garage though.
 
I'm looking forward to the cars. The Virgo looks like an updated Manana, and somehow makes me like the Manana less. I may have to replace my Super Diamond with the Windsor, we'll see. The Osiris and Stirling GT will probably be must haves for me.
 
Curse my school wifi for not allowing me to load GTP!

The hype is massivly real! Can't wait for that Ferrari/Pagani car, and the Mercedes 300SL looks amazing!

Hopefully they'll put these in single player this time, so we can try them out before we blow so much money on them.
