Does anyone else want boats to serve a bigger purpose in the next game? To me, it seems like boats are almost useless in this game, since there are no islands, everything is connected by bridges, and aircraft are very easy to acquire.

Agreed. There's just not enough water to do anything except a few water races and cruising in the ocean, and the prop limit is too low to make water courses of any reasonable length.

Then again, until they make GTA: Venice, waterways are never really gonna be convenient.

I decided to purchase a few of the new DLC items in online.

The Stirling GT is wonderful, its now my favorite Sports Classic followed by the Casco. It sounds amazing and feels very light and planted to drive around in, I kept it stock and its great. Mine is silver with chrome wire wheels resembling that of a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. Its also very affordable in-game considering its real life counterpart is worth a fortune, it came in at $950,000.

I also purchased both of the new aircraft. Together they came in at $15,150,000. The golden Luxor is my favorite, it can withstand 3 homing missiles before going down, has an illuminated interior with champagne and cigars present for your own entertainment. You can choose to sit in the back or the front, and I've been having people fly me around in it in exchange for letting them try out the new cars. A lot of people think they are very expensive so I often get asked to test drive them as people want to make a confident purchase.

Firstly, it can survive missiles? I had no idea.

Secondly, how and why do you have $15 million just lying around

Question, @Carl the Sloth, do you have to uninstall the mods you have downloaded for single player if you want to go online or are they separate so you don't have to worry?

I was worth $80,000,000 when I ported over to PC from my old PS3, I literally didn't spend any money for like 1.5 years on last gen and just lived in a tiny home in Paleto Bay with my Pheonix, some of you may remember it

There are mod managers out there that allow you to keep all your mods in one easy to organise place. As such you can set an option that will automatically turn off all your mods when you go online, and then turn them back on when you go back offline. Unfortunately if you change even one line of text in the files and try to go online you will be banned, so having them all turned off is probably a good idea

Ah. That would probably explain it, I was wondering if it was excess cash from glitches or something. :P

Went on a rampage with @superstreet556 and Bmwracedriver23 (I forget your GTP name) in my Insurgent. We made sure everyone got #rekt. ;)

Good guy Sloth.

I threw a proximity mine in front of an ammunation while someone was shopping there.

Am I an ass now?

The funny thing was, he challenged me to a 1v1, then backed out when he saw I was driving my Insurgent at the time.

The Black Pheonix that i stole one day?

So, My Stirling and JB700 both are a very similar shade of silver. I want to repaint one, but can't decide which, and to what color.

You're gonna find yourself in empty race lobbies if it's not hosted by a youtuber or the track is not one of those "XxX_420mEgaloOpsAnDRamPs420_XxX" tracks
I see them appearing a lot more often in the last few weeks.

With the exception of a couple of missions, online and offline, I don't use them. I bought a Jet Ski to get the icon lit up next to my name but I've never even used it.

For some reason the "Escape a 3-star wanted level" objective is broken. I've escaped several three, four, and even five star wanted levels but couldn't complete the objective.

Same with "Escape a 4-star wanted level". I wouldn't be surprised if all of them were the same.

Speaking of wanted levels, a few times I have gotten a 1 star wanted rating but never lost it, even if I hid in a place the cops could never even get to (the sewage tunnels for instance) the flashing circle wouldn't go away.

I have a new name for this game: Grand Theft Auto 5 Frames Per Second. Try to play online in a public lobby and have a big shootout. Textures constantly load and unload, vehicles lag everywhere, and you get shot through walls. With the amount of processing my system has to do, I'm surprised my PS3 hasn't burst into flames. It's a relatively new-ish PS3, by the way.

I never experienced any FPS drops on PS3, apart from expandign the minimap and checking the players in a session. Even the really old PS3 I used before getting a PS4 that couldn't even play GT6 played GTAV Online with little to no issues.

It has become a big problem recently, the only way to avoid this is staying in Paleto Bay or be the only person in the lobby.

I find that hard to believe. Me and @superstreet556 were having a shootout against the police on one of those slightly elevated parking areas in Vinewood last night. As more cops showed up, the ground below me kept changing from its regular texture to this muddy texture at knee-level. Last year, my system actually crashed because two of my friends going on a tank rampage. I was flying above them in a Frogger at a safe distance, but it's still ridiculous that it even happened in the first place.

Nope, we did all kinds of crazy stuff, police shootouts with 3 of us in a train, tank rampages, riot van police escapes, Buzzard V Lazer fights and alot of other stuff but never any noticable fps drops.

I've been experiencing that recently too. If I'm driving around quick and doing things just messing around with bombs and grenades then the game starts to drop.

I forgot to mention that it takes me 30+ seconds to get into my garage from the street in public sessions now. My character just drives in and the camera just stays locked at the closed door. When my garage finally appears, textures are missing and the lighting is incorrect (The cars appear as if they are lit up by the position of the sun, not the garage lights).

Another issue that's been happening for months now occurs after I leave LS Customs near Lester's warehouse. If I use a very fast car, and leave the area as quickly as possible, heading back towards my Alta St. apartment, buildings, cars, and the street will load and unload constantly until I stop my car to let them all load.

I thought that R* limited the top speed of cars to help the game render more quickly and because the map is so small.

So...two failed Prison Breaks. First one was 15%, the prisoner and I made it out but the Velum was destroyed some how, not even worth redoing so I left. Second, the pilot took off WITHOUT the prisoner. The pilot would cut the engine, and glide for a while. Until he managed to skim the waves and took out all the control flaps on every surface except the tail.

I take it that isn't flyable no more...
