What do you guys think of the prices for the new DLC vehicles?

I've seen people complaining about how overpriced some of them are, I think the ones that come to light the most are the gold painted aircraft. Whilst I don't think the Luxor is worth $10,000,000, when you have a full plane of people, sat in first person filling the whole cabin with smoke and drinking champagne to the point where everything is shaky, drowning out your sorrows in the quiet cabin with the faint music in the background as you glide along the clouds, that's awesome. Its not a purposeful aircraft, and whilst it does have extra armour and is rocket resistant for a few hits, it is more a novelty item that separates the super rich from the regular rich.

The Pegassi Osiris is another one people regarded as being too expensive. I think its good that there are more pricy hypercars in the game, it makes them less common to see and adds some variety. Its a very pretty car though, I haven't yet bought one but I plan to, I think the one thing you need to keep in mind is that if you blow up one its going to cost a whopping 24,000 to replace, people aren't happy about that  dont blow up the car then

Whilst PC is a ghost town regarding GTPlanet Crew members on PC, the ability to use text chat and the general maturity of PC gamers has led to some fantastic moments so far. Earlier today, I noticed a group of people at the airport and I went there initially to start a plane battle. When I got there I found that everyone was friendly and flying around, we all agreed in the text chat we wanted to go Sandy Shores so we took my plane and as we set off one of the guys got his crew members to give us an escort via fighter jet. This was very useful as every new player seems to spend their first cash payout on a homing launcher and gold planes are a popular target. This was a full server and there was a lot of action in the city so I was surprised we got their safely. Another Hydra did eventually persue but was shot down accordingly.

AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE STIRLING GT I'M IN LOVE WITH IT

I have a new name for this game: Grand Theft Auto 5 Frames Per Second. Try to play online in a public lobby and have a big shootout. Textures constantly load and unload, vehicles lag everywhere, and you get shot through walls. With the amount of processing my system has to do, I'm surprised my PS3 hasn't burst into flames. It's a relatively new-ish PS3, by the way.
I've had problems on PS3 like that, but they are very rare for me. I don't know what the hell is going on with you.

@CallmeDan my dying PS3 didn't have that many problems.

The worst I saw were knee-high textures, and missing textures.

I would have that occassional display player list lag but that's about it. Huge battles never did anything for me.

I think I figured it out why I find it so frustrating to watch other people play this on YouTube: GTA Online is very complex. It's very rare for someone to be good at all, or most parts of the game. I'm terrible at shooting, but I can drive and fly fairly well. I just get annoyed when people do the blatantly wrong thing at certain moments, or call something the completely opposite thing. In particular, car names. Then again, I probably annoy people here by incorrectly naming a weapon, so that's why I just stick to their in-game names.

:irked: Is there anything I can do that could improve my situation (That doesn't involve buying a PS4)?

Also, RIP in peace to your PS3.

If anyone wants to add me to play on PC, my social club name is ryandude2448. My PS4 still hasn't been fixed.
Why you should add me:
professional gtav pilot
stunt car driver
explosives extraordinaire

Hired!

When you get back to PS4 :P

Rest in pepperonis.

My 40 GB is still going strong, but I've moved on. I might turn it on once in a while. Heck I still play my PS2.

Pray.

Your PS3 seems like it has reached the end.

Might as well play this as you play your last games on the old warrior.

BTW how long have you had it?

Some advice to those that are curious about hosting the race Learning Curves. Never ever ever (x1,000,000,000) host that race with the traffic on. It will make you incredibly furious.

Speaking of gun damage, is it just me or are guns much less powerful, or are mission AI alot tougher now?

I did notice on "Titan of a job" that they were taking a lot more bullets. I just assumed I was rusty and running spray and pray rather than precision.

I usually do heavy pistol and push for the headshots. Titan is a harder mission to do that on though so I used Sniper/Bulpup.

I was doing various missions and on Trash Talk it took almost 2 .50 Pistol mags to kill the boss at the end.

Not too long, to be honest. It's a 250gb model, so I would assume it would have a little more processing power if it was going to have more storage/memory.

Pretty sure it's the same CPU and GPU... and SONY still used the non-leaded solders in each chip. Which means your PS3 is supposed to last 4-6 years (Regular gaming), 2 years (abusive gaming)

Anything past 4-6 years is what SONY hates.

My 160gb model ran 4 years under abusive gaming. Never cleaned the dust out of it, would often leave it on all night or for days, it wouldn't receive proper air (kept it in a shelf or a cubbie hole some where). I was surprised it ran for so long.

My PS3 has been going for nearly 5 years with extreme gaming and it still works well.

@CallmeDan ... I know this is dumb but have you looked over the disc under bright lights? I know I have had issues in the past with GTA 5 and GT 6 because of hard to see smudges around the edges of the disc. (or a big greasy fingerprint from fried chicken night!)

Anyone got a good high paying mission to grind?

Also, since moving to PS4 it seems the police have just doubled in numbers, they're just ruining the game. GTAV on PS4 is just a warzone. I miss it on PS3.

I play Trash Talk, with a Buzzard (or any ariel vehicle with missiles) super easy money.

This is me. This is me running the hell away from some crazy as hell scrublord chasing me in a Hydra. You know those gravel roads to the right of the map near Los Santos, as it turns out, not a good place to lose a bounty, no less if there is a fighter jet chasing you and there's no tunnels to hide in. Eventually I just drove the thing off a cliff and jumped out into the ocean and hid underwater inside that cave thing. And do you know what the bounty was?

$1,000... why

It's interesting reading the comments in the R* post. I for one am pretty happy about it since i quit playing due to the modders.
