Did it save your character after it reloaded? The 1st time mine reloaded it dropped me right where I left off, in my car heading to a waypoint, the next time it made me create a new character.

Had to make new one. But Cloud service is down.

Looks like there will be about 50 properties. If you pull up your phone and go to the Dynasty 8 you will see a lot of properties on the map. Not sure if you need to be level 6 but there at least 50 properties!!! Some are very cheap others are quite a bit more expensive. Ranging from $25,000 to over $400,000. Something like that.

This was posted a few pages back showing the current properties. I am sure more will be released later in time either as DLC or maybe higher rank.

Yep. I've been playing online without any issues now for about an hour and a half. I could exit in-and-out of online mode within the game, and it worked fine. I then restarted the PS3, logged-in again, and it's now back on the character creator screen... My Lara Croft look-alike has disappeared.

Yep, my nerdy character is gone as well. Ah well I'm going to wait until the cloud servers are fixed.

Yes looks like you will be able to store an insane amount of cars.......Like TDU2. Can we access all of our cars from every garage or only wherever we store those cars? That's the question. I am hoping to buy at least one of the properties by this weekend to see how it works. Currently have $11,000. Need at least $14,000 more. Plan to go golfing tonight. :) For those that don't know, you need to be level 6 to golf, tennis, and arm wrestle. Along with other stuff.

Same for me :( except my character didn't look like Lara Croft lol ;). I'm hopping they're not deleted just unaccesable while the Rockstar Cloud servers are still suffering. I'm not planning on making a new one until a few days time and everything settles down a bit.

That's usually how it works on server based saves like this. TDU2 and Defiance worked the same way. If their servers were offline you had a hard time loading your save. But once the server was back, it remembered your save.

Defiance was real bad. If their server was offline you could not play the game AT ALL. Not single player or multiplayer..... nothing. THAT sucked. So luckily we can still play single player in GTA5 if the mp servers are down.

And to think I was making some decent progress.
For those who still haven't managed to get online: In the first race against Lamar, the car you pick can be kept afterwards. Your best bet is to pick a good, expensive, and quick car. I chose the Stanier...well because it's my favorite car in the game. :)
 
I had access to a solo-mission earlier - the one with Lamar - but then afterwards I had trouble and was stock in the clouds... Is that what everybody else experience as well?

For me, it took about a good 45 seconds before the gigantic "1st Place" text popped up.
 
Well I made my character yesterday and he was still there today.. Up to rank 8 (Nearly 9) and have 45k in the bank :D.

Breaking news in development :lol: my 7th character (at this point in just randomizing) was able to go to the 1st race but it never loaded.

I have been picked up at the airport by Lamar, then when it says to get to the trigger point for the race, nothing. I just want to play a little bit online, please!

Did you wait for the race to load? The first time I entered that race it sat at the loading screen for at least 10+ minutes. I would suggest entering the race then go do something else for a while. That seems to be the magical point of GTA finding a server for you to join. Once you are on a server, you are set for the night. I only speak from 360 experience. Might be different on PS3.

I waited 15 minutes at where it just shows your character AFTER selecting car, winning gesture, etc.
Edit- retrying again. have to watch the intro video again
Edit 2- 10 minutes later, haven't made it to car closing part

Make sure you check your internet connection, you know, as that might be the problem.

That is actually a very good point. It never hurts to check your internet connection. http://www.speedtest.net/

Two of my friends that we know have a poor connection were not able to get on last night. However myself and a couple other friends with great connections really had no issues other than the first race.

But if their servers are for sure down, nothing will get you into the game.
 
Well this has kinda been a huge letdown for people with Android phones and a PS3.
Like me.
I really hope either the ifruit app or online works before the weekend...

I guess the optimistic way to look at that is the more people that get frustrated and trade in the game, the less load on the GTA5 online servers. That's what happened with TDU2. People started to give up and trade in the game. Less players resulted in more stable servers. :scared:

Yea, good point. But did TDU2 sell 16 million copies and was it 1 of the most (if not the) anticipated games in the past 5 years?

I'm sure that they will find out what's wrong soon. So many eager people :D

Well, I did get the giant text and the reward, but after that it zoomed out to the clouds and got stuck. :boggled:
