Well, I did get the giant text and the reward, but after that it zoomed out to the clouds and got stuck.

Make sure you check your internet connection, you know, as that might be the problem.

My internet connection on my Xbox and PC are different. That is why doing a speed test on your PC for a console does not work since it is at two different speeds.

Saying that I cannot connect to any lobby trying to do missions. I could free-roam any time I wanted to but I could not do even the first mission without getting stuck there for hours.

EDIT: Just saw your sarcasm post but then again it is informative for anybody that needs to know what I just posted.

There is a couple big differences between GTAV's issues and TDU2's issues. TDU2's issues occurred on day one of the game's release, whereas GTAO has had two weeks to realize that there might be a crap load of people trying to get on at the same time. Which it shows that Rockstar has prepared for this by how quickly issues are being resolved.

The other big difference is...in those two weeks, Rockstar has made over $1 billion and thus has the money to fight all the issues as hard as they need to and as quickly as they need to.

In other news...perhaps that PSN update DID have something to do with GTAO:

For PlayStation 3 users, a PlayStation Network server issue was detected that was limiting the amount of possible concurrent users. This was preventing most players from accessing GTA Online altogether and as of this morning, that problem was resolved.

I managed to make about $4,000 in robberies before I got disconnected. Now my character disappeared again along with all of the progress I made.
I can see why, schools are letting out, putting even more stress on the servers.

Some news there is;

(Last Updated 4:30 PM ET 10/2/13): Here are the latest updates as of this afternoon.
*For PlayStation 3 users, a PlayStation Network server issue was detected that was limiting the amount of possible concurrent users. This was preventing most players from accessing GTA Online altogether and as of this morning, that problem was resolved.
*There is an issue that is preventing some players from getting through the first tutorial mission across both platforms. Many players have been able to get through this with repeated retries, and we are working on unblocking this for everyone as soon as possible.
*This morning, we experienced some instability across the GTA Online services which is affecting even people who have progressed beyond the tutorial mission. We are identifying these issues now and are working to restore stability for users as soon as possible.
*For the time being and until we have been able to get everybody access to GTA Online and things are running smoothly, we have disabled the option of purchasable GTA$ cash packs. Players can however keep on earning GTA$ by pulling off Jobs and other profitable gameplay activities rather than purchasing cash packs.

Please note that we are also looking into broader network stability issues and will provide an update when this is resolved.

Lost the character two times, of course i didn't had much but it's really annoying anyway.
I'm giving up for now, it's just a waste of time.

Managed to get myself up to $40,000 earlier before getting the "timed out,," message during solo play. (Haven't successfully got back in since) Hopefully I don't lose this with all this messing around on these seemingly fragile servers.

At least you've made it to the tutorial. Furthest I've been is getting stuck at the loading screen once you make your character.

Yes.


From 4th Mission you get free upgrades. A Couple. Like this..

Regarding Insurance.

You call Mors Mutual Insurance and you can add Anti Theft System to . Trackers etc. Quite neat. Also your car Shows up on the map is a Icon.

So...I started a Solo Session and it just dropped me in...no intro...just straight to playing...whatever.

EDIT: something to note: All clothes are available at EVERY clothing shop. It doesn't matter where you go, everything's the same. Which is good.
