Agreed, the Kuruma offers superior protection against bullets, better than any other car imo. The bulletproof glass in the V12 is really not much better than standard windows when you consider that you will be getting shot with an automatic weapon. The Insurgent offers hardly any protection from bullets. The tiebreaking round in Rockets Vs Insurgents swaps RPGs for pistols and it makes it really easy.

I haven't driven the V12 yet, but I'm also pretty sure that the Kuruma is very good at making off-road escapes.

Yeah it is, driving on sand/dirt/mountain sides it is still quite quick. The V12 is ok but if driving isn't your strong point then I wouldn't recommend it

The Kuruma is literally a hit or miss with bullet protection. AI enemies will barely scratch you, but a well positioned player can kill you with auto-aim. The Schafter at least has some guarantee of safety to allow you to escape a bad situation.

Haven't spotted "the oddity at the observatory" yet, but on my way to a cop distraction in Mirror Park (I love that one, I just park outside the train tunnel and run in a bit) I came across an abandoned Patriot in the middle of the road--just sitting there with no sign of having had a driver--perhaps the parking brake gave out. :P

The Kuruma is an absolute tank against the AI. You can just park it and fire out.
Really it depends what you are buying an armoured car for.

I looked for the "oddity" as well but did not see it... It will give me something to do during down time...
I sent you an FR if you ever want to team up to look for it... Or just goof off...

Today I found out that doing VIP jobs is a great way to earn money. In my opinion it's more fun than doing missions.

I have to try both of those - being a bodyguard and VIP. Looks like fun, and some of the costumes are awesome, like the battle gear. Can you wear that normally and save it as an outfit?

How many bodyguards are you allowed?
3 bodyguards plus the VIP.

I haven't looked at them much so I don't know for sure but while I was submitting a complaint to R* support earlier I was looking through the trending questions and one of them was a "petition" to allow players to use those outfits when not playing as a VIP or bodyfuard, so I would guess that they are only available to them for now.

Hmm. Hopefully there will be some glitches out there that allows them to be saved. :/

Just remember, if you're going to sell a car, and you're a body guard. You have to quit or leave the group, or the VIP will get most of the money from your sell.

Found that out the hard way, then forgot, and did it again. :banghead:

So if I bought an Aquarious with the standard paint and chrome fittings say, I could swap it for stealth paint and gold fittings? Are the prices the same as buying mods new and retro-fitting?

Yes you can, but I believe there's a considerable charge added to it if you change the look later on.

Hmmm, I'm sitting at 9.9M and swithering on buying one. Sure as anything I will buybit then there will be a sale.
Thanks guys.

I've been hearing things about the boat's defense mechanisms don't work so well sometimes.

But how effective are the guns when they face a carpet bombing HydrAZER?

I was on a Yacht and saw the defences briefly, I think there are loopholes in it for attackers.
I sort of thought they would be like the defence system at Zancudo.

I'm not sure if the armored Kuruma is different since I've only driven the normal one, but I find when I take mine on dirt tracks it rolls really easily. Tried taking mine rallying across a few trails when I first bought it and ended up rolling at almost every corner.

I believe that's due to the car's high grip values. On FailRace's Downhill Chaos series, vehicles with high amounts of grip are very prone to rollovers.

If ever you want to test one and you see me online, give me a buzz.

I get off from work and see that PSN is undergoing maintenance... :indiff:

And story mode won't even load wtf.

Same thing with freemode events and probably anything else that you can get money from (such as robbing stores and collecting bounties, although I don't know if these two actually give money to the VIP). I won criminal damage when I was a bodyguard once and almost all the winnings went to the VIP. I asked him to give me my money and he was more than willing to but it would only let him give a certain small percentage. I think he was able to give me something like $4500 or $7500 on top of the $5000 or so it didn't take out.

Mine works just fine. I can stand in plain view on top of my helicopter with a bounty and have multiple people shooting at me. I can see the bullets but they don't hit me. It's pretty much like being in passive mode but the other people aren't invisible. There's also a radius around the yacht that allows you to take weapons out but you're unable to aim or shoot them, and once you leave the radius you can use them normally but if you shoot at the yacht with it's defense system on it will prevent you from doing any damage.

Anyone else think that the yacht defense system shouldn't shoot down unarmed aircraft?
