There are other things as well, I'm not sure if some of these are scrapped or future weapons but I don't recognise some of them.

Can't see anything there that seems new. Not all of them as weapons but I reckon I've seen all of those items.

we might see a dancing mini-game, similar to the one in GTA TBoGT

There was one in San Andreas too. The memories....

Horses?

Zombies?

Well there's a horse racing track, rumours there were going to be horses in the game and rumours they will come in some DLC for the horse racing track. (Some dialog was found by modders, plus we we could bet on horses in San Andreas). Lastly, there are horses in some of the in game TV/movie shows.

As for zombies, they might already be in the game. You have one in Vinewood that you can interact with and there's a few zombie looking rotting corpses dotted around the map. When modders were able to start swapping their character models I remember one guy taking a selfie of a female dead body, I can't remember if it was listed in game as a zombie or corpse though, and I can't find said post burried in the gtaforums (pun unintended).

Edit: Ok, found the post with the dead lady I was on about, it was listed as a corpse. You do have these other dudes though as well as the Vinewood guy.

I really wish the graphics options would give you a small hint as to what each one does. For the newbies like me who have no idea.

I kind of agree with you there. GTA has always been a rags to riches game, starting as a nobody and ending with an empire. With V, it didn't really have that... it was more glitz and glamour already.

Maybe? What makes it not a GTA game?
The overall feel of it. There's not as much gang influence story-wise as the previous games. The controls are different. The weapons are all new instead of the traditional ones from the past games. There's a lot of borrowed elements from other games.

Story wise it isn't as GTA as it used to be but at least it's better than Saint's Row's ridiculous story line. Controls feel fine and much improved since PS2 versions.

Saints Row isn't GTA. It's Saints Row.

GTA V just doesn't feel the same. The weapon wheel was never there, all the cars and weapons you'd usually see were redesigned, replaced, or removed, rolling over isn't a pain in the ass, etc.

The weapon wheel makes t easier and faster to get the weapon you want, cars and weapons were replaced so that it felt more modern and for rolling over, they took the bad from GTAIV and kept the good and added new stuff. So there's better hand to hand combat, you can roll you car back on it's wheels and the handling is a bit more arcadey.

SVX
The game was streamlined for more casual players.
Pretty much that. Probably why GTA Missions are easier too (I never even unlocked the countryside in SA and never unlocked the other islands in VC or III but completed IV's and V's story pretty easily).

It feels more like a generic GTA clone than actual GTA. Nothing wrong with a little improvement, but don't try to change what it is.

If it's a GTA clone then it can't be called GTA. I think GTA V is perfectly fine the way it is and I can't think of many ways it could be improved on the same engine.

He wasn't saying it's a clone, he was saying it feels like one.

It's all the small details - as insignificant as they are - that make GTA what it is. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna do some vigilante missions.

Oh wait...

Granted the little details are what I love about GTA. Even the insignificant ones like the noise when you run over Lamars phone in Chop

It would be nice if we had the weapons from previous games. Like an actual AK-47, not a Norinco Type 56-II, or an MP5 that could be used to perform a drive-by.
San Andreas used a Norinco. It just didn't have the awful black handguard and folding stock. I prefer the wooden furniture.

Almost every weapon in the game is some kind of dumb tactical-spec thingy instead of the original ones we got in every game.

I know the metal bar at the end of the Micro-Uzi and MP5 in this game are meant to increase stability while firing, but they look like crap.

The micro SMG has the stock folded up most of the time. It's only used when you're in stealth mode or when you equip a scope.

Also, it's a fulled sized Uzi, not a micro Uzi.

So I was walking around last night taking in the sights and came across a cat. I followed him for a bit and then the craziest thing happened. He walked over to a flattened box and layed down on it. I was like, "this game is super realistic!"

I have noticed that the guns in GTAV are all fake based on real weapons.

I think I've worked out what most weapons are based on

Pistol - 9MM Berretta M9
Combat Pistol - Px4 Storm
Pistol .50 - Desert Eagle .50
SNS Pistol - N/A
Heavy Pistol - N/A
Vintage Pistol - Colt 1911 .45
AP Pistol - N/A
Pump Shotgun - 870MCS
Sawn Off Shotgun - M900
Bullpup Shotgun - KSG-12
Heavy Shotgun - Saiga 12
Assault Shotgun - AA-12/USAS-12
Micro SMG - UZI
SMG - MP5
Assualt SMG - N/A
Assualt Rifle - AK-47/Norinco Type 56
Carbine Rifle - Hk416
Assault Rifle - Tar-21
Bullpup Rifle - Type-95
Special Carbine - G36C
Gusenberg Sweeper - Tommy Gun
MG - PKP/RPD
Combat MG - M249 SAW
Sniper Rifle - Remington 700
Heavy Sniper - Barrett M82
Marksman Rifle - M21 EBR
RPG - RPG-7
Minigun - M134
Grenade Launcher - MGL
Homing Launcher - Stinger

The Carbine is just a generic modified AR-15. There's not much to identify what specific model.

The vintage pistol is not a 1911. That's the heavy pistol, but they the magazine size is wrong

The sawed off shotgun is just the regular shotgun with a short barrel and magazine and the stock removed. It's not actually a sawed of shotgun.

I see the Carbine as an HK416 mostly. Either way, it's not like it really matters if the guns look photo realistic. If you're not using first person you won't be paying much attention as to how the gun looks anyway.
