Of course man. Run whatever you want for the last race. Final race special liveries are encouraged as long as you keep your number obviously.

I'm going with a brighter yellow for the potential cloud cover.

something more mexicano for the end of the championship

This reminds me of a scene from Boondock Saints 2:

Murphy MacManus: I thought you said your car was 'inconspicuous'?
Romeo: Yeah, well I don't like words with 'spic' right in the middle. Besides, it is where I live.
Murphy MacManus: Yeah, where's that Margaritaville?
Romeo: Hey, I hail from a colorful people. Besides, you wouldn't know style if it pitched a tent in your ass.

Good intentions only. :)

I think I shall invert my colors.

I would say don't worry about outright speed, it's all about being consistent and smooth. ;)

Cool idea on the special colors for the last race, I'll have to cook something up when I get home. :dopey:

Aren't we supposed to have a quali session right now? I am heading out of town for the weekend and need to qualify for Sunday's race ASAP.

Was under the impression that Wardez was doing it, but I can make a room in 10 minutes after I eat.

Just a heads up to everyone I'll be running a white car with red wheels in honor or the race this weekend at Suzuka. Just so nobody else has the same idea. :)

Just had a brutal race in WSGTC at Nurb GP/D. My arms are tired, long race was loooooooooong. I'm hoping into Mule's race in a minute. Sorry I didn't get around to posting before the race started, there were some delays.

Well.. It looks like my ps3 disc reader just died. Turned on the system and nothing showed for gt5 under the game section of the xmb. Inserted a different game disc, same problem.

So, barring a miracle before Sunday, I am going to miss the final race.

My mic's not even on and I'm dropping now.

EDIT: Cleared cache. All is fine.

Well it looks like I can be your hero Red.

That happened to me before where it would read blu-ray discs but not games.

Do this:

The current version of the ps3 firmware has a “recovery console”.
You access it by

1. Start with having the system in standby (redlight is on)

2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.

3. Press and hold the power button again and keep holding, it will beep as it turns on and then it will double beep. When you hear the double beeps immediately take your finger off the power button (if your system turns off before you get a double beep just try again and hold the button, it should double beep the 2nd time you try)

4. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button

You will now have a screen with these options

1. Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System.
2. Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
CHOOSE THIS ONE 3.Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
4. Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.
5. Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
6. System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION®3 System

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT CHOOSE THE WRONG OPTION HERE OR YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA. The one that fixed my blu-ray drive is option 3: RESTORE FILE SYSTEM

lol.. I may have jumped the gun a bit... My ps3 is sitting on my work bench in pieces. I read that the ps3 laser goes out frequently, so I ordered a new laser. Probably be a week b4 I get the part. Have to leave right now, but hopefully tomorrow, I can put it back together enough to try your fix.

Thanks for the help,

Rees

My family, luckily, live mostly in south Tokyo and weren't directly affected by the earthquake or tsunami. The majority of them have made it to SoCal and are staying with some other family members of mine. Pretty crazy stuff they say.

So what kind of lap time did Alien turn for quali?

You can PM me if you don't want to post it yet.
