Restarting a race will make people angry too. My start was great and I rapidly created a gap. But what about restarting and I get bumped? There will always be problems but you have to accept, even though I understand you are mad to this **** connexion!

Well i found it unfair, because it was just 2 turns into the race, i dont think it would have made a difference. I most mad because i dropped a lot of things today to make it to the race today and i still didnt get to race! I wouldnt care if i came last because of my own driving but the fact that i was getting bumped around by someone who knows they dont have a good connection, sucks a lot!

Not a very good start for me. Was battling with RedReevos for the first few laps, then after that got settled out, my front tires were dying. Put on lap 11, then when I was all alone, I started flying. Passed some people making their pit stops, Don't know who was on 1 or two stops, but oh well. Aliens passed me when the fronts were dying again, and I nursed them home just before the time was up.

BlackIce needs to quit whining. Seriously.

that is all.

If you were me in my situation you would lose your s**t also! I practiced with you before, you know i'm faster then you so dont even!

Well, why not stop talking about that and just look forward to the next race? By saying that, you can only make him more angry, and it's totally normal.

And was it your setup or only the way you drove that allowed you to make only 1 stop? Because on the first set of tires, I tried to keep them fresh but my laptime fell to 1'42 on lap 10... So I had to pit. And then I understood I would have to pit again and divided the rest of the race (15 laps) by two, that's why I pitted on lap 18... I know I wouldn't have made it if I had waited two more laps.

If you were me in my situation you would lose your s**t also! I practiced with you before, you know i'm faster then you so don't even talk!
Like I said in the room, I wasn't allowed to race in the Spec Miata race at Laguna seca, even though I qualified on time. Did I complain? No. did I "lose my ****?" No. I got over it, moved on, and focused on this.

And I fail to see what you claiming to be "faster than me" has to do with anything. My car also vastly improved since then, anyway ;)

Yeah, good point, but it really needed to be said. It's just a single race.

I'll shut up now.

Man.. I really think you need to let it go. We have all had terrible starts to races. There were enough people in the room that you could still find someone to race. If we restarted every race that started bad for someone, we would never get one going. A couple of people had bad connections. Not sure if it was Mule or me, but he was jumping all over my screen. It happens. We are playing on the internet.

Also, I think Wardez has done a lot of work for all of our enjoyment. Harassing during the race is a little much in my opinion. Just cause your race ended up bad, no reason to try and take him out of his race.

You may have practiced all week... A lot of us did. I got hit by quite a few people during the race. Its racing, not time trials. But thanks to the practice this week, I will now be faster at fuji for any future endeavors.

I got bumped around.. so what.. I finished toward the end of the pack.. so what. I skipped a few things I could have done today instead.. my choice. Maybe you race different places than me, but I raced last week and this week and I think Wardez is doing an excellent job.

Thank you Wardez! I look forward to the rest of the series.

Ok sorry it was actually wilk489 (rxp489) who was knocking me all over the place! but still man, i think that if you see someone lagging that bad in the race, you should kick him our and restart the race to not ruin it for everyone else!!!

I think you owe poor Kique an apology. You totally blasted that guy with a ton of comments. Not sure if he will ever even see it, because he probably won't come back to this series after the way he was attacked. Please think about what you say.

If not please let me know. Look foward to racing with you.

Thanks.

Probably you, but it could have been both of us.

Yeah... Not sure how the connection works. I was racing 2 others around the same time, and had no problem with them. Not sure if it is each of our connections to Wardez, or our connections to eachother that makes a difference. I am only 300 miles from Wardez, and I have the best DSL connection that is offered in my area... But this is all beside the point..

My point is that we are racing over the internet, and things aren't perfect. It happens. Whom, I see as laggy on my screen, might not look laggy to someone else. Also, in the first few turns, as BlackIce stated was his problem area, the lag is always the worst. 12-16 people all trying for the same spots, with different connections speeds and latencies.

yeah, i got bumped many times also, everyone tried to pass many cars as they could even if they were 10 meters behind, but in the end its a game and we should enjoy that.

i could make 1 pit stop but i thought that keeping my times below 1:41 was enough lol.

My Internet's an iron fortress. I didn't notice anyone acting funny during the race at all, so meh. Not that it matters now anyway.

We all understand that you're upset, you made that pretty clear. You don't need to go all out against what happened. I'll just squash it here and say that if you keep acting unsportsmanlike I'm gonna have to drop you from the series. We're just trying to have fun but if something as tragic as what happened gets in your way of having any fun than what's the series worth to you? You're welcome but we all need respect and constantly using harsh language during a race just isn't cool no matter how you look at it.

lol i failed in the 2 pit strategy. lesson learned.

Like I said earlier it was gonna be a test of strategy, which I love. I wasn't sure about going for 1 stop strategy at all but I tried my best to nurse the tires (especially important going through turn 3) with Brosif putting more and more pressure on me, it was quite the race, great for the heart.
It was a good battle we had up to your first stop. That's when I held my breath and decided (I'm gonna try for five more!) 👍

Thanks for being a voice of reason Pierre. Seems that you had the pace to win the whole race but it got hampered by your tire strategy, which made sense on paper. I think most of the guys that went for one stops decided to just go for it and hope for the best, which paid off.

I think careful driving through turn 3 and just letting the car settle through the corners is what let me do my stop on lap 13/14.
I was surprised when I passed you up in the pits but knew you'd eventually pass me up since my tires were half way done at that point and I needed to take it easy to finish the race with Brosif right behind.

He did an awesome job for not having much experience with the car on that track. You need to qualify and show up full out next time iamjamen :sly:

Fully agree, thanks for pointing that out. I hope kique isn't turned off by all this. I need to talk to RXP about his connection.

I got the qualifying dates put up wrong, they're mirrored from the first race. There'll be qualifying on every Friday and Saturday before the races on Sunday. But thanks for signing up. It's awesome to have a friend since high school join up.

Here's a few shots from tonight, including the finish at the line between me and Minion.

I can't wait to watch the replay! I'm gonna record it and upload the whole thing to Youtube. It seems like it was one of the best races I've ever seen in my many races around GTP. I had a really good feeling Minion was gonna be a good match up for you. I could tell he had some of your driving style being behind him at Monza (for that one lap xD)

I'm gonna fix the quali schedule and post up some new rules and info for all of us to get on the same page on what we learned from the first race.

Also, points, points man!

Edit:
Forgot to mention. We're gonna be doing another practice race. I'll announce that soon. It's definitely not mandatory. I mainly wanna use it to test different people's connections. Cheers guys, back to work for me.

I took a few pictures myself; mostly of myself, but meh.

It was a full grid!
Some people left because of connection issues...
It wasn't full, it was 15. I was the last person and I was actually going to join. I went to change my oil and when I came back you guys had already started. (But I didn't stick around to have a b*tchfest about it.)

I most mad because i dropped a lot of things today to make it to the race today and i still didnt get to race! I wouldnt care if i came last because of my own driving but the fact that i was getting bumped around by someone who knows they dont have a good connection, sucks a lot!
You didn't have to drop because of a mishap on lap 1, that was your own choice. You'd have had plenty of time to make up for it, but you threw a hissy fit instead. And if you didn't care if you came in last why did you drop? You probably would have done even better than last since you're so fast (as you put it in this post):

If you were me in my situation you would lose your s**t also! I practiced with you before, you know i'm faster then you so dont even!
But of course now you're just making an ass out of yourself.

This. As I mentioned, I didn't even get to race... so how frustrated do you think I am that someone dropped out halfway through the first lap? But I didn't freak out about, I was just going to stick around and watch a great race. However, I had to leave because the whining was ruining my experience... I couldn't imagine how distracting it was to people trying to race.

Oh, it was really annoying. Especially when he was whining about us ignoring him when we were in the middle of a race, no less. But it's beside the point now.

Sorry I couldnt make it last night wardez - if you can send me the replay, i can record and upload to youtube in HD

Hey guys, i was watching the replay and i noticed that most of the guys racing in the middle positions were racing a little too agressive, compared to me and RT for example.

I saw a lot of uncessessary bumps and way too late breaking. If too close to a car before a big breaking point, you guys have to consider the slipstream before breaking and go a bit easier on the throtle. Watch the replay from RTs bumper cam perspective, after the patch you can change views on replays. Thats a great example of how you should race when behind someone.

I think this is something we could work to get better next races, to try to avoid contact at all times. I know is hard to do it with 4 or 5 changing positions so often, but you guys could definitely have raced a bit cleaner :)

I guess I watch too much V8 Supercars. Besides a massive brake mistake at Dunlop I tried to be clean as possible expect a couple hurry-ups lol. Then the front tires bite the big one from lap 8-11 then they came back for a last hurrah then die. They did last 13 laps though. Rears on the other hand I could've probably ran the whole on the same rears. I guess I wasn't pushing hard enough on exits?

I apologize if I had as I try my best to race clean. I ended up getting disconnected from the lobby about 3/4 of the way into lap 1 so the only time I could think of where I had contact is between turns 1 and 2. Turn 1 I slowed down and hugged the inside, turn 2 I took somewhat of the middle line catching up to Jav and turn 3 I was side by side with Jav and there was a group of about 4-5 cars in front of us. The rest of the lap before I got disconnected I was pretty much alone in 13th trying to catch up to the group of cars not far in front of me.

As for my connection 3G Mobile Broadband through Verizon seems to be hit or miss for me lately and it sucks because being in a rural area that's pretty much the best that is available to me . Only thing I can come up with after buying a signal booster is my connection is based off the data traffic of the cell tower I was connected to. Usually when I'm lagging really bad all the cars on tracks start to jump around and I didn't notice that while racing. Just had some issues connecting to the lobby and it seems like I wasn't the only one.

I'm here to apologize to everyone who was affected by my out burst. I have talked to Wardez about this incident and we are both on good terms now, I hope I can do the same with the rest of you. I more then respect Wardez so I'm saying it in front of you all, sorry for being extremely disrespectful to you Wardez.

Kique77: Sorry for blaming you when it wasn't your fault. I guess rxp489 was lagging so bad that I didn't even see him hit me. You were the closest one to me so I quickly jumped to the conclusion that it was you. Sorry for trying to call you out because you weren't on the list, it was just something I added to justify my anger although it was completely uncalled for.

rxp489: Sorry I called you out like that, I was upset because you smashed me into the wall so hard that my car was completely damaged and I couldn't catch up to the rest of the pack which made this race a waste of time for me.

Mule_9242: Although we did go back an forth in this argument, I would like to be the one to end the feud and I can see us having healthy and fair battles in future races. I don't have anything against you.

I'd also like to apologize to my team, Team Nemesis. This is not how we represent ourselves. We are a group of people who just like to have fun playing this game and I just took it a bit too far.

Ice
