GTDesigned: A Community Vision GT Project

We'll going to add a series of poll for 3 days, for now the layout

  • Total voters
    116
  • Poll closed .
@whoever suggested a radial engine, did you mean a radial engine like that found in the Nieuport 17 that, along with the propeller, spins around a crankshaft? If so, I'm not sure how exactly that would work in a car but it would be cool.

I don't know, but it's really showing its strength in the poll... @LosCules24SFA Can you make a list of entries in the OP so newcomers to the thread and all of us can get a summary of all of the pages, in one post be sure to include everything from the most updated sketches, and theoriectial specifications if they were included in the design. :D

@Nessy said the thread was unorganized, I think this little thing would make a huge difference. :) And add Bold Text titles to OP as well, in my experience it makes the OP more readable.
I can make a list of people that joining this project based on this thread but i think not all people that participated in the poll also make an appearance in this thread

I think before we decide on a design we need to get the green light first from PD unless they want to see one first

Personally I think once the poll is finished we see what ideas people come up with. Don't have to have a final design until we get a green light. People will hopefully use the poll as a guide to the direction of their design as well as incorporating ideas others have put forward that have merit and support. Looking forward to see what direction we're heading.

I designed it a while back for the existing VGT thread, but didn't finish the view of the rear end. Wheels are a bit too big though and i feel it's not futuristic enough really.

I guess I've said it earlier to you, but I like this design very well. I think you can design the Community VGT in 2D and someone else could turn it to a 3D design ?

About this design, I think the tail needs a little more 'oemph' :D Where the basic 'lines' going down all the way to the exausts, I think the rear looks better without an enormous wing, but with a fancy little tail, just turning the straigth line into a 'J' shaped tail. And with that, I think it could be also a 'new' design to swap the taillights and exaust pipes, because it's an MR engine, the exausts straight out the booth looks aggresive to me (i think).

Forgive me it's a Photoshop Product but i would like if Alfa Romeo come back the Vision looks like the missing 4C :)

A while ago I switched from SketchUp to Rhino v4 to understand more of 3d drawing and 3d printing, so I need the basic skills to draw solids and in the near future make funny or useable 3d prints.

Well, to learn de basics of 3d drawings, what's better to draw a car? And being inspired by this thread, today I started drawing something small, a citycar like the Cappuccino (I'm thinking of a targa-ish roof), a new 'vision' for the windshield (inverted) + engine cooling and this is the first impression.

Guys we're not losing interest in this project right?
Nope, just wondering about the details of the second poll, err, I mean if the second poll will contain this kind of stuff...will it (if it stays how it currently is) be AZ-1 like or Wagon RR like? What angle on the V engine and so forth...can't wait, even if it never gets into the game.

Pretty cool I say, I'm gonna write down the final stats on it and, hopefully, have one made irl one day...that would be awesome...but I'm not sure how much that would cost, I'm guessing it'd be expensive.

Yeah, just having the car in game would be awesome too, that has me thinking what if we start our own company one day with the same people in this project, won't be easy though
Ehmm like a Honda Accord lol ok :dopey:
Yeah we can take some inspiration from that car for the final design :)

I would definitely be in on that... I think Finland would be a good place to start it, I'm *pretty* sure they don't have any of their own brands, excluding tuning shops, according to Legro .
There are none at the moment.

Edit: Be back in a bit.

I think it'd be better to be multi national company with Divisions for each members country
Lol I have the 2014 Lx model (my dad actually :sly:)
IT'd be easier to take some inspiration rather than looking at a picture lol :D

That's what I was talking about, kei car sized (obviously not following the hp restrictions to fit in the class.) but with aerodynamic styling...and some non-aerodynamic wedge lines.

Edit: If this gets the green light, I hope it's a drifting beast, or at least good at rallying.
