:D

Bit of confusion though: Are the numbers selected that of our own choosing, or are we using the number assigned to the car?

Only in GT500, we are using the number assigned to the car. The only exception as said before is the Xanavi Nismo Z and the Yellowhat YMS Supra as both cars share a number with another car.

The number assigned to the car. BTW, the Shakedown for next week will be at SSR5 to practice night driving and to get used to flashing those lights when passing slower traffic. However, I would like to suggest light damage for SSR5 as There are a lot of walls and I think heavy damage would see a lot of trips to the pits by everyone.

Actually, I have decided to add an additional Shakedown just for that. We'll have it on the 23rd

Alright then. Fixed.

alright. That works, too. :)

Just realized that the Pre-season Race is on the 30th. Hopefully the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona will be over by then. If not, oh well.

If memory serves, it probably will. :)

And for the benefit of the participants, here's a chart that'll help those around the world understand what time it'll be in your part of the world when 4:embarrassed:o PM EST strikes next Sunday. ;)

GTP username: GTP_scaramanga
Car Class: GT300
Car Number: #73
Car Choice: TBC

I will update my car choice once I have had a chance to look at the options and give them a private test.

Update:

Car Choice: Subaru CUSCO Dunlop Impreza '08

Is there going to be a cap on the number of GT300 and GT500 that can participate in one race?

At the moment, there isn't. If one class simply has the maximum number of cars for a race, then the other class will have a seperate room with qualifying and race taking place and will be hosted by a volunteer from that respective class.

I'd think it would be a little more fun if both classes raced at the same time. But I see your point.

Currently there are 13 entries. That means there are 3 slots open until we reach the maximum for a single room.

EDIT: To flash your lights in a Super GT car just hold down your "toggle high/low beams and flash lights" or "flash lights" button. Also know that different cars produce a different flash. The GT-R, for example has a quick triple flash while the Lexus SC430 has a slow blink. And the Lexus Weds Sport IS350 has a slightly has faster blink than the GT500 Lexus. I don't know what the other's produce. But, you should pretty much know what's coming by you by the flash.

GT-R - quick triple flash set
GT500 Lexus - slow blink
GT300 Lexus - faster blink
NSX - Fast Blink
Autobacs Garaiya - headlights and tail lights blink
Subaru - slow blink
Amamiya - quick blink
Supra - quick blink

My contribution.

The Peugeot 908 does it, haven't seen any others though.

Yeah, the Peugeot definately does it, but you have to be on a very dark track to really see it. The Lexus IS-F Racing concept does, but you have to tap the button manually to get the effect. I'm pretty sure the R10 does as well.

Most Premium (even street) cars do it if you do it manually and are on low beams.

Yeah, but you have to do it manually. Most race cars all you have to do is hold down a button.

And I'm working on building my Super GT collection. :P Should know what all the cars do soon. :)

Everyone, I need your opinions on this. Now this will be applied to the final two pre-season events and likely, the whole season if everyone agrees to it. Should the ASM be allowed this season or should it be disallowed? Please respond as soon as possible.

Doesn't matter to me. These cars are pretty smooth and I don't use ASM anyway.

So, having driven each of the different cars, I like the RX-7 and the Subaru in GT300 and the NSX and Lexus are fun for GT500, but I like the Lexus the best. the GT-R is a little squirely under heavy acceleration.

I have my Lounge open for Practice if anyone is interested in joining in. :)

So did any of the GT500 drivers had their lights on when we started the reverse-grid race today? I don't know if anyone did, but I did try to stay out of the others way as we all went into the first turn.

Also, shall we keep going with the Grid Start with False Start Check or should we try our hand at doing a rolling start for next Sunday?
