I like the grid start but we could try out the rolling start if you wanted.
So did any of the GT500 drivers had their lights on when we started the reverse-grid race today? I don't know if anyone did, but I did try to stay out of the others way as we all went into the first turn.
Also, shall we keep going with the Grid Start with False Start Check or should we try our hand at doing a rolling start for next Sunday?
Great racing last night, I haven't got how to turn the lights on yet though.
Currently - and if memory serves me right from what you and I have talked about - only the Indy and Daytona ovals have the double-wide rolling start option available. In the ITCC series I've been talking part in the last few weeks, the number of laps for the first race was set to 1 more than the scheduled race distance so that we could do a rolling start with a formation lap beforehand. What happens is we went around the track at about 60 MPH to get the tires warmed up and then formed up before we got to the final turn for the rolling start. Before the first race, we get to agree on where the 'green flag/light goes on' for the start of the race. I'm thinking we can do something like what is done in the real-life SuperGT series with a formation lap before the start of the race with either the GT500 field in front of the GT300 field or we do it in the grid spots we qualified in.If the rolling start option is available, lets do that.It is the pre-season, so it's the best time to try some things out.Now all that's needed is to get someone with a Nissan Skyline GT-R Safety Car in their garage to volunteer to do the duty. Maybe for the next Pre-Season race we can try out a few Rolling starts for practice?

It isn't as if it'll count in pre-seasonProblem is you're already in the series as a driver.Wouldn't be a bad idea for you to bring not only your Sunday Driver but the Safety Car as well.

Once the season gets underway, we would probably need someone with experience in racing online and currently not competing in the series to be a Safety Car driver/Chief Steward.
Is GT Auto oil changing allowed?

Ok! Got a question for you guys!
What is the rule on blocking on the series?
Is it a 1 move deal or can people drive you to the wall?
Hey, turn me down if you want, but maybe we should run the pre-season at the Daytona Road Course since we'll be racing right after the 24 Hours of Daytona. Would be kinda cool.![]()
If your talking about me, I made 1 move.
