Introduction

Welcome to Season 10 of the GTMSA SuperGT Championship. We kick off our tenth anniversery season this year, and what better way to do so then alongside some of the motorsports worlds biggest races that are also celebrating their anniversary! Lets make this a season worth remembering.

Series Information
  • Tier: Classic (No Tier Required)
  • Qualifying Format: Pre-Race Hotlaps (15 minutes)
  • Race Format: Single Race
  • Race Distance: 100km Sprint, 200km Endurance

Participation Notice
To ensure we have competitors and to keep up communications with everyone, it is mandatory that everyone posts at least once in the corresponding race thread. Most notibly, you'll need to let me know if you will or will not race. By doing so, it'll be easier to keep up with everyone.

Racing Regulations
  • GTP's OLR applies.
  • In the event that the below rules conflict with the OLR, assume the rules below to be correct.
  • Cars must be run to the specifications given by GTMSA.
  • You must keep 4 tires on hard surfaces and 2 tires between the white lines on the edges of the track. In corners you may have two tires on rumble strips as long as all 4 tires remain on a hard surface.
  • You may change lanes twice to defend your position.

Incidents
  • To report an incident, send a PM on GTPlanet to myself, LancerEvo7, or another GTMSA official, stating the race, lap, turn, and drivers involved.
  • Do NOT use the in-game chat function to talk about incidents.
  • GTMSA officials will review the incident and apply penalties if necessary.
  • If you are deemed to be at fault for an incident, the following penalties will be applied depending on the severity of the incident:
    1. First Offense: Warning
    2. Second Offense: 30 Second Penalty added to finish
    3. Third Offense: Disqualification from one race
    4. Fourth Offense: Suspension for remainder of season
  • Stewards may also impose other penalties based on their discretion.

What happened to Abud? I ran in Season 7 when it was still GT4.

Don't know if I'm able to commit to such an intensive and long season though. Are you doing anything to balance the cars?

Forgive me, I didn't even see this post.

I haven't really seen ABud at all come to think of it. I think he's still on GT4 as he's yet to get GT5 (Or a PS3 for that matter).

As for the cars themselves, they actually were pretty close in that format last season.

Last Chance

If at least 10 entries aren't posted before Sunday April 1st, the series will be closed for good.

Series is continuing, thanks to all that signed up :)

I didn't even realize you had made this thread. You should probably move it to Series so people see it.

Is the car number just for record keeping? Or is it possible to change the car number in the game?

^Just for record keeping. Partially for tradition since it was used for this series back in the GT4 days too.

Basically like Lancer said, for record keeping.

In the OP it says testing on the 24/25, but title only says 25th. Any testing today?

I just now got the pm about practicing this weekend. I won't be able to make it today since I didn't know about this until just now. I do plan on racing though, any idea of when the actual series will start, or when we might have more practice rounds?

I'll start checking the thread more often now that it looks like this will actually happen. 👍

Like I said before, I do apoligize about the late notice as I wasn't even sure we were going to have enough people to get this going. At the moment, next week is when the series starts.

So how did the test races go? Can you give us an idea of what kind of lap times the 2 classes are running?

ATTENTION: Test II will be held this weekend. Here we will be doing test both with and without Traction Control. There will also be a vote as to which should be used.

GT500 about mid to low 1:50s. GT300 not sure, would say most Low 2:00s
