Good stuff tonight lads, great win Pam.
Am a little sorry if my move on mikey and blue not good.
Then my move on wambam maybe of not been that good, just had to pass you lads before my tyres went off.

I attacked Mikey in the final turn too. Although I was getting revenge, he almost knocked me off on the turn before that, I'm guessing that he didn't see me on his outside.

It was a good race, I messed up adding fuel by accident but otherwise it was great. I changed my strategy within the first few laps of the race. My pit crew were expecting a 2 stop.

Close you could not put your two cars any closer, looked like you was hitting each other down the staights

The SMs really were bad today, they seemed to be a lot lot closer in laptime at Motegi last week.

Yeah, and after 5-8 minutes they don't event act like tyres anymore, more like bread rolls

Yeah, I think Motegi is more about getting out of the corners cleanly and then longer straights, Laguna puts more focus on balance I think.

I would have thought its about the same length, lap times are around 4 seconds shorter but more time spent at higher speed I reckon.

Grid larger then expected and the race was better. I thought it would be really spread out. Was annoyed at the start as I thought people had changed tyres. I then kept up on the SM so thought they must have. pitted after 10 mins and thought i'd get the jump. Turns out all I could do was bring it in a tenth at a time. Messed up thinking others were on the opposite tyre

50 minutes on SS wasn't bad, but had nothing to fight ian/mad with at the end

Yes overall it was a very enjoyable race, I didn't see much of anyone luckily for me but when I was racing with people it was all very clean and fair

Well done. Your strategy worked, even though you made a mistake in the pits yourself. Maybe that 'revised' strategy worked better than your original plan.

Yes, another 6 mins or so and that could have been rather worrying for me, in truth I think the dodgy strategy did work better, I would have struggled doing 10 laps on the SMs at the same pace, I had to take it easy slightly at the end because I just couldn't get my eye in with the SMs and kept making silly mistakes, after a couple of scares I decided to stop pushing and just make it to the finish.

In hindsight I would have gone with my backup strategy which was start on SM, pit on lap 1 and then 1 stop from there going SS, SS. It wasn't mathematically the best system I found but it would have given me the best tyres for getting racey at the end!

I've been in a team for the last 5 seasons. Admittedly that wasn't in the gttcc, but I really wanted a change.
