This is a bad mash up between a MPV and a wagon. Interesting enough not to be meh, but a terrible idea none the less. Uncool.

An estate?
A hatchback?
An MPV?

Or a crossover?

I think I'll just call it a dull looking family hauling machine with a silly body kit.

These are in my opinion great looking things. In fact when I eventually have kids this is right up there to be the family hauler of choice - it looks great, it's practical, it's decently quick, and it's not an M35 Stagea.

Unfortunately it lost its coolness right at about "family hauler of choice."

It's a sports wagon with the same powertrain as the Toyota Celica GT-Four. I really like both the Celica GT-Four and a good sports wagon. So, is this car cool imo? Nope.

It's just uncool; the styling looks silly. It reminds me of a Hyundai, but with tacky body parts.

You can't outrun ugly.

But at least ugly is interesting.

-

This isn't.

It isn't memorable enough to be seriously uncool.

This one is just plain vanilla uncool. Not even turbocharged all-wheel drive can save it.

If we're talking turbocharged all-wheel drive... things... from Japan in the early aughts, there's only one that I find remotely interesting:

Granted, handling isn't quite as good as the picture makes it seem, and the autotragic transmission is automatically tragic, but it was more fun than a box of kittens.

I'd personally say this is slightly more interesting.

I guess it can't really be compared to the normal Forester and the Toyota as it was never sold globally but, it's definitely interesting.

The problem with the STi over the XT or earlier S-Turbo, is that it losses a lot that made it what it was - a car that was capable of dealing with muddy fields and deep snow, yet still felt like a car rather than an SUV/Truck. The STi losses most of that capability with its much stiffer set up and fast-road biassed tyres. You might as well as just bought an Impreza STi.
