It's the lighting. When there's partial or full cloud cover it's great, almost lifelike, as in other GT5 tracks featuring it. However, everything almost falls apart when the sky gets clear as lighting becomes excessively bluish, and colors too bright and saturated.

What happens if you try using a certain racing suit like the Loeb one with an open faced helmet in an open car, do you get flies in your face or doesn't it let you use it?

I hopehopehopehope that the DLC cars are available as RM's.... otherwise they'll be completely useless to me. Well maybe not COMPLETELY, but I've had very few expectations going into this and have so far been very happy, I'd hate for PD to destroy the one expectation I DID have... that being that these cars could be purchased as Race Mod's.

They're not RM cars.

These you can actually paint. Not partially.

Sorry if I ask but what's the difference for you? They'll have the same features of paintable RM cars. Even in case they wont use the "RM" tag.

That would be cool, but it appears that you can only use the tracks online or if they have a Seasonal for them. New events would be a natural edition, let's hope we get it.

LMAO, only PD would release a new track and add no new events to race them in... Shift had new events when their DLC was released. you know its bad when EA DLC is better.

Improve from what? The current version of the game HAS improved greatly from initial release both in bug fixing and content. Yes more work needs doing but at least there are frequent updates.

Itès been a year, they should not still need to be improving it if it was done much better to begin with, and even with that they agme still has major issues, A-spec is a small and shallow, no damage, leaderboards, weird design decisions, Standard cars, cannot change rims on Standards, AI not improved in the one made its needed most, a-spec...

We are only getting close to what it should have been like at launch, 1 year later... how sad is thatÉ

If they don't fix it (or at the very least make it clear that they will fix it) as soon as possible after the obvious backlash happens, I'm very likely going to wash my hands of the entire game outside of weekly event races, .

why don't you go the whole way and just stop playing the game and move to something different?

i think what's more sad is people are still complaining after a year of updates and changes. Sell your copy of GT, that's if you have one in the first place mate

You're talking nonsense, I beat Shift in less than a month, it wasn't big of a game and online was a mess, lag fest with wonky slide o matic control. Who needs matchmaking when you have friends and besides most matchmaking leaves you with random people who want to kick you for being too good (FM3) of just decide it's fun to drive backwards.

Those games are selling on franchise history, Batman hasn't even had a sequel how on earth did that get into this considering it only has on iteration. I said Single player will always be around, but it will not be the bread and butter for any major publisher, just take a look at all the online multiplayer games coming out. WoW puts that single player bread and butter stuff to pasture, CoD came and added to that, now look at how many pubs are jumping on the MP bandwagon...there is a reason. Money is in it people enjoy playing with human and not AI, simple fact humans are unpredictable and it feels better to own a human versus the AI. I hate MMO considering how much money people sink into them it's crazy, but that is the future micro transactions.

I think you value your opinion a bit much, online overrated? Sure tell that to the people who constantly do everything online, cloud saving of information, shopping, planning, gaming. What are you doing online, considering it's overrated?

Shift had 3 times the events, and was way longer, you saying otherwise doesnèt change the fact that its career mode was way bigger and robust. Not to mention AI that actually raced. Take away a horribly broken Level system that artificially forces you to grind and Gt5ès events in A-spec can be done in a couple days. Many events with 1 race, pathetic.

Online is vastly overrated, repetitive, cheezing , cheating BS. its like it in every game, sports, racing, shooters..... Innovation happens in Sp all the time.

You know there is a Arcade option right??

There you can do as many races as you desire..
You can even set the AI level. 👍

But I guess you only want to race to level up, not just for the sake of racing...

Not this BS, racing and playing games, a huge part of that is striving for awards, and getting satisfaction when winning. A-spec gives us awards, money, and something to strive for. . I could care less about level, Championships are not possible in Arcade. if I want an arcade game Ièll buy burnout.

There is a reason every racing game ever has a mode like this....... Again, improving AI and making it not available in the mode that needs it most is one of the more dumb things i have ever sen a game company do.

I think its sad people keep complaining about people complaining, and willing to accept how PD and Sony let the PS3 flasgship title get in the state its in.... up your standards. it was complaints that got Gt5 to Spec 2.0.. If every was a blind sheep and praised it it still be the way it is at launch... BAAAH, BAAH.

No one forces you to respond or read the posts...

To be honnest for the price the game is quite good (but not good enough for the exclusive top racer it used to be)
The thing is if we PS3 owners that bought a PS3 and a wheel to play racing games (and the GT franchise) got the shaft or the short end of the stick... because most multiplatform racing games perform much better on the Xbox due to its Dev friendly codding and the Forza series getting closer and closer to GT(the reviews actually rate it much better)
So in order for PD to keep their loyal customers (like Ive been since GT3) they should have offered the DLC or put much more content and add events to it... it will possibly be the last money Ill spend with sony... and seriously thinking of changing to microsoft for the better multiplatform support and exclusive (2 year release cycle) and better rated racing game.

Thing is, are you sure that it CAN be helped?
There cannot possibly be a technical reason that PD was forced to include the DLC in the way that they have. Even if, for some ridiculous reason, PD designed the game so that they cannot expand the RM models, they added nearly a dozen cars to the NCD with Spec II for free. So either PD designed the game so thwas a hard limit on the amount of cars available in the NCD, or they are simply acting on the same wisdom that made it so most of the Photomode functionality is locked away for 80% of the cars.

You act like you know the future of GT5, and that the situation will never change
You act like people should assume that it will. If there is some basis for that assumption at this point, I honest-to-god want to hear what it is.

The DLC isn't even out yet, and already you're throwing a fit about it!
Are you saying that, assuming that it does end up being released in the way that the OP says it is, that such reactions aren't justified?

Or that the cars/paints will be so amazing that the people who are saying now that they wouldn't be able to put up with such stupid restrictions will be able to ignore that you only get one of each when there are several perfectly logical ways of implementing them that PD basically just ignored?

why don't you go the whole way and just stop playing the game and move to something different?
You apparently aren't aware of this, but that's what "wash my hands of it" means. You should be happy, though, because that means that you would finally be rid of me as I finally leave the game behind like many of the other older members have already. But by all means carry on, because it provides much in the way of cheap entertainment.

For example:

Seriously?

You know there is a Arcade option right?

Arcade gives you credits now?

You know what's really sad? Grown men moaning and whinging like a couple of washerwomen. Day in day out. Frankly, don't you get tired of it? Saying the same thing over and over again?

If you don't like PD or sony then either

Open up your own studio and show how it's done or buy another racing game. Pretty simple no?

Thankfully Tornado finally gets it. I suggest you do the same and walk away

The xbox-is-easier excuse got old in 2009, once Epic got off it's chair and made the Unreal engine work. Heck, even EA likes it now, and I remember it being one of the main companies complaining originally (or maybe it's because they've finally let Criterion do something on their own, like last time).

The trick for devs will be making as much of it PS3 exclusive as possible, then they can get happy with the sony's crack graphics programmers (wizards who make GT5, Uncharted 3, etc look awesome. Look up ICE team).

And I will say, if you're after release schedules, get into PC gaming. New DLC-I mean free mods are released every week. The only thing that's as slow as GT's release schedule is ISI's release schedule.

As for missing racing games, I enjoyed Supercar Challenge, GT5, Motor Storm, and Twisted Metal looks good. That's the most racing exclusives you're going to get this generation of consoles...

ON TOPIC:

What was the old saying before GT5 was released? Those that pass extra wind shall pass further wind without cost? Something like that?

Do the Collectors buyers (and the one above collectors that came with the car) get anything for free?
