GTP Exhaust + Car best Combo's

None of the Samba Bus exhausts are realistic for a 4-cylinder.

Chevrolet Camaro SS ’00 - Stock exhaust
Probably one of the best sounding V8's in-game IMO. A good whine from the supercharger from the interior/bumper cam. The sample is great, and combined with the low RPM it reaches, it allows you to regularly hear the distinctive crossplane/stereotypical "American" V8 rumble 👍

Yes, along side the Semi-race if you want it to sound mean ;)

The samba Bus with the semi Racing titanium , SOUND LIKE A V8

Read the OP man..

For the Honda Civic Type R 2008 I find stock or sports are best on it, sounds like a proper high reving Honda engine. The other two sound a little wierd..

The sound update from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 RM.
It sounds now really like a beast with the titanium racing exhaust.
Thumbs up PD!

I'll try and start us off, I had completely forgotten about this thread.

The Tesla roadster with.... ummmmm... Rain.

I know it's not related to those eargasm inducing combustion cars, but sitting still on the Nürburg 24 hour made me notice that extra little bit that makes Gt5 special. You hear the pitter patter of the rain, the gentle bumps and thumps of the wipers, and turn off the hud... oh god the view!

That was when I understood what Kaz wants and what he is so painfully close to achieving.

Hahahaa ;) I agree.. Too bad "Rain" isn't an exhaust :grumpy:

Subaru BRZ S : Stock. Dat boxer

AE86: Sports exhaust. sounds better (IMHO) than the stock exhaust.. :)

Agreed with both counts, the classic 86 sounds and drives great with some minor addons rather than fully blown modded, good fun car.

Silvia Q's Aero (S14) '93 - Titanium Racing Exhaust

Add in all N/A mods it makes 263hp and is quite fun with a 8,000 RPM rev limit. (wish it went higher)

I remember that the S13 Q's have a really good sound, maybe it's the same...

Yeah the Titanium Racing exhaust is a really good sample I think. If you have the car or can get it I highly recommend giving it a listen. Lower RPM's have a sort of Individual Throttle Body sound. 👍

Nice highly tuned N/A 4-cylinder sound. 👍

Hmm... Let me discuss some of the suggestions in previous posts...

Some mention that the McLaren F1 sounds good in stock form. It sure does, but haven't you notice it's the same sample that the Cizeta has? Btw, the Cizeta is the closest car sounding like the real thing... So I would say that the stock exhaust for the F1 is absolutely wrong... There is one exhaust that makes it sound more like a V12... But i'll have to check later. My GT5 file got messed up thanks to the update...

Another one that some are mentioning is the Lamborghini Countach. The old one is fine with the stock exhaust, but the newer one also shares the same sample with the Cizeta... So wrong... I'll have to get this car to see if what exhaust can fix it.

The Audi R8 4.2 sounds good with the stock exhaust. I have no idea if some have noticed, but it's a sample that has been used before in Gran Turismo 4 for the old Audi RS6. It's fine because it's a V8. The Semi racing makes it sound like pretty much every other V8 car in the game.

Another car that people are discussing here is the RX-7. I've only driven the old FD, and it sounds glorious with the stock exhaust. Just what you'd expect from a Wenkel engine. I like the stock exhaust on the RX-8 as well since it still sounds like a rotary, but you can notice the difference between the RX-7's Wenkel and the RX-8's Renesis. I haven't really bothered to try othere exhaust with these. I would expect the sound getting messed up...

As I build up more cars in my garage I'll keep on contributing with the thread...

I agree that the RX-7 FD sounds realistic with the stock exhaust 👍
Both standards and premiums.
